Stormy Daniels' attorney claimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen received $500,000 from a company controlled by a Russian oligarch, deposited into an account for a company also used to pay off the adult film actress.
Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti, also detailed other transactions he said were suspicious, including deposits from drug giant Novartis, the state-run Korea Aerospace Industries, and AT&T — which confirmed it paid Cohen's company for "insights" into the Trump administration. Now this is certainly an "unconfirmed" and somewhat illogical allegation at this point. But make no mistake, this story is actually being reported by some news outlets ( CNN, Hot Air) as a fact. Avenatti has admittedly provided no proof that the payment came from Viktor Vekselberg (who is the Russian oligarch in question). Rather there is only evidence that an American company that at one time was associated with Vekselberg had a business relationship with Cohen at one time.
Columbus Nova is deny the claim and said the management firm is owned and controlled by Americans, not Vekselberg.
"After the inauguration, the firm hired Michael Cohen as a business consultant regarding potential sources of capital and potential investments in real estate and other ventures," the statement said.
"Reports today that Viktor Vekselberg used Columbus Nova as a conduit for payments to Michael Cohen are false. The claim that Viktor Vekselberg was involved or provided any funding for Columbus Nova's engagement of Michael Cohen is patently untrue.
"Neither Viktor Vekselberg nor anyone else other than Columbus Nova's owners, were involved in the decision to hire Cohen or provided funding for his engagement."
We'll see where this goes. But by all accounts, Special Counsel has already investigated this and Vekslberg had been previously questioned by Mueller. It seems very unlikely that Special Counsel would have moved the Cohen investigation to the New York US Attorney's office, if there truly was real evidence of a high profile Russian Businessman paying off the President's personal attorney either during or shortly after the election.

The LLC received the money to pay off Cohen and to Miss November who got pregnant with the rich and ugly rich man and paid for her abortion. The evidence was released tonight.

Evidence? We don't need no stinking evidence.
There was a time when this loud mouth publicity hound would have never even made the front page of National Inquirer with this garbage.

MAGA Canidates did very well. Someone was saying that mid-terms 2018 Republicans would be running from Pres. Trump.
File that prediction under, "blue wall".
Financial records reviewed by The New York Times show that Mr. Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer and longtime fixer, used the shell company, Essential Consultants L.L.C., for an array of business activities that went far beyond what was publicly known. Transactions adding up to at least $4.4 million flowed through Essential Consultants starting shortly before Mr. Trump was elected president and continuing to this January, the records show.
The Times’s review of financial records confirmed much of what was in Mr. Avenatti’s report. In addition, a review of documents and interviews shed additional light on Mr. Cohen’s dealings with the company connected to Mr. Vekselberg, who was stopped and questioned at an airport earlier this year by investigators for Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel examining Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Taken together, The Times’s findings and Mr. Avenatti’s report offer the most detailed picture yet on Mr. Cohen’s business dealings and financial entanglements in the run-up to the election and its aftermath. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating Mr. Cohen for possible bank fraud and election-law violations, among other matters, according to people briefed on the investigation. Stephen Ryan, a lawyer representing Mr. Cohen, declined to comment.

Ms. Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, is suing Mr. Cohen and Mr. Trump to break her nondisclosure agreement related to the $130,000.
It is unclear whether that or any of the other transactions were improper, but Mr. Avenatti has asserted that Mr. Cohen’s use of Essential Consultants potentially violated banking laws. The financial records indicate that at least some of the money that passed through Essential Consultants was from sources and in amounts that were inconsistent with the company’s stated purpose.
Mr. Cohen also used the company to collect $250,000 after arranging payments in 2017 and 2018 by a major Republican donor, Elliott Broidy, to a former Playboy model he allegedly impregnated, according to news reports last month.
Documents alleged that $4.4 million were funneled through Michael Cohen. Where money went is still unclear.
If proven the question remains why and where it went.
LOL.
It's not laughable.
Trump pulled out of the nuclear agreement with Iran despite no evidence that they have violated the agreement.
"It's not laughable."
Um, yeah it is.
Netanayhu showed the world the evidence. I guess you didn't see it ib the cnn newscast.

"All 3 Americans held for years in North Korea are coming home"
Excellent news.
I'm going to reserve judgment on Cohen's shell company and the money flowing through it, because it's not clear, to me at least, what that those payments were for and who wound up with it. Maybe it's all legit, or at least not illegal.
Granted, for a lawyer with only three clients, and two of them in the "not really clients" category, one might reasonably speculate that the flow of money relates to his professional relationship with his actual client, Trump. I think it's better to hold off on an opinion about that. But in any event, it looks like trouble for Cohen.

Despite strong evidence, from our own intelligence agencies as well as international inspectors, that Iran had NOT violated the agreement.
There's no reason for Iran to adhere to it now though. With little or no international cooperation on stronger sanctions, Iran may now spin up their nuclear program again.
The Iranians have still been funding Hezbollah and other radical Islamic militants. They have no reason to comply with the terms of the agreement.

funding Hezbollah with the pallets of cash Obumble gave them
Idiot
Let me clear all this up. Maybe Cohen gave a speach
Lol

By your own link, they have no verification that any of the transactions were improper, much less illegal. They have no verification that Viktor Vekselberg had anything to do with the payments.
This is a simple case of the Times understanding their readership. They take a vague unverified claim from a attorney representing a porn star and print it on their front page because they can throw in the name of a Russian that almost nobody had ever heard of before.
And the wolves will be out en masse barking at the moon! Or perhaps it might be better to describe them as Sheep baaing at the moon.
So Much Losing.

As the New York Times was bashing Mike Pompeo for being missing in action while President Trump tore up the Iran nuclear deal, it turned out the secretary of state was busy rescuing three Americans who have been held captive in North Korea.
In an apparent jab at the administration, The Times’ headline said, “At a Key Moment, Trump’s Top Diplomat Is Again Thousands of Miles Away.”
The Times’ story noted that “Senior State Department officials were momentarily speechless on Tuesday when asked why Mr. Pompeo did not delay his trip by a day to be in Washington during Mr. Trump’s Iran deal announcement.”
It became clear on Wednesday morning why Pompeo didn’t delay his trip to Pyongyang when Trump took to Twitter.
“I am pleased to inform you that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the air and on his way back from North Korea with the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting. They seem to be in good health,” Trump wrote. “Secretary Pompeo and his ‘guests’ will be landing at Andrews Air Force Base at 2:00 A.M. in the morning. I will be there to greet them. Very exciting!”

Avenatti Accuses The Wrong Michael Cohens Of Making ‘Fraudulent’ Payments
Michael Avenatti, porn star Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, released a seven-page dossier on Tuesday containing a list of payments purportedly made to Michael Cohen, the lawyer for President Donald Trump.
But there is one problem with the document: two of the allegedly “fraudulent” payments were made to men named Michael Cohen who have no affiliation with Trump.
Avenatti’s report includes a section listing “possible fraudulent and illegal financial transactions” involving Trump’s lawyer. One of the payments is a $4,250 wire transfer from a Malaysian company, Actuarial Partners, to a bank in Toronto.
The other is a $980 transfer from a Kenyan bank to Bank Hapoalim — the largest bank in Israel.
Just Damn
Ok. Then Avanatti is only 99.96% correct.
Somewhat less than that. Avenatti is is also under investigation.
For sure he's 100% loudmouth asshole.
Unfortunately there are a lot of sleazebag lawyers like Avenatti and Cohen out there. It's funny seeing Trump whine about Avenatti being shady though, when you remember Trump cheering it on when there were illegal exposure of his political opponent's confidential information. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
