Tom Steyer says the Democrats telling him to call off his impeachment crusade are like those who told civil rights activists to be patient, and he says Nancy Pelosi and others holding back on calling for impeachment are “normalizing” Donald Trump’s presidency.
Steyer doesn’t care that Democratic leaders are worried that he could blow their chance at winning the House by talking up impeachment around the country and in his TV ads—though he argues he’s actually helping Democrats. He says he’s the only person willing to tell the truth. And the thing about a self-made billionaire with nothing to lose: It’s hard for anyone to convince him he might be wrong, or to get him to stop.
I hate to tell you this, Tom, but Trump has been President now for nearly a year and a half. We have not had the economy implode, there is no WWIII on the horizon, Putin is not running our country, and there is no zombie apocalypse. Moreover, in spite of the Special Counsel investigation looming over his head, Trump's approvals have remained steady (if not improved slightly).

Fox News host Shepard Smith isn't taking President Trump's tweets at face value.
During his news show on Tuesday, Smith tore into some of Trump's recent claims point-by-point. In an early-morning tweet, the president accused Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigative team of "meddling" in the upcoming midterm elections. He called the team, which has been tasked with investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian meddling during the 2016 election, "13 Angry Democrats."
Smith was not having it, calling Trump's claims "conspiracy theories" that are "unfounded, not based in fact or reason, with no evidence to support them." The Fox News host pointed out that Mueller is in fact a Republican, and emphasized that neither Trump nor the White House has produced any evidence of wrongdoing to support the president's public accusations.
The 13 Angry Democrats (plus people who worked 8 years for Obama) working on the rigged Russia Witch Hunt, will be MEDDLING with the mid-term elections, especially now that Republicans (stay tough!) are taking the lead in Polls. There was no Collusion, except by the Democrats!

Gowdy is generally a stand up guy. He should be trusted when he states that the House Intelligence committee found no evidence of collusion or other wrong doing. Gowdy has also argued that Trump did not obstruct justice by firing James Comey. He argued that the FICA warrants were questionable based on fact they relied on the Steele Dossier as a source.
So it would appear that he should be trusted to be providing an objective viewpoint on the subject of the "informant". That being said, even when he was critical of the actions of the DOJ and others, he has been fairly defensive about the FBI/Special Counsel in general. At the end of the day, he is a prosecutor, so he probably falls in line with some of this.
All that being said, there will be lots of opinions and speculation. But at the end of the day, the Inspector General Report will likely tell us what we are needing to know.
It begs the question; It it had nothing to with Trump, why wasn't Trump told?
And what exactly did the spy tell the FBI?
We still won't know for sure if the Congressional leaders were given the full story. It's still possible (or probable) that things were held back. I will still want to wait to see what the Inspector General finds out.
