Where is the outrage from the left?

So as facts continue to emerge in the never ending quest for what actually "triggered" the investigation into the possibility that the Donald Trump campaign colluded with the Russians responsible for meddling in the election... the evidence is starting to point fairly strongly that our Department of Justice, FBI, and the British Government were working in tandem to spy on the political campaign of a Presidential Candidate.

Why doesn't this bring outrage to the left?

outrage from the left?

surely a rhetorical question. the left insists upon the removal of trump by any means necessary.

we're talking about folks who count the alexandria BB field shooter as one of their own for chrissakes. these people really are THAT fucked up, and the removal of trump is their singular mission.

But there’s one episode even Mueller’s former law enforcement comrades — and independent ethicists — acknowledge raises legitimate legal issues and a possible conflict of interest in his overseeing the Russia election probe.

In 2009, when Mueller ran the FBI, the bureau asked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to spend millions of his own dollars funding an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent, Robert Levinson, captured in Iran while working for the CIA in 2007."

Well, there's no outrage from the Left about the "never-ending quest" about what "triggered" the investigation, because no one cares except the relatively small group of hard core Trumpies.

Everyone else already knows that Russian interference triggered the investigation, and Trump officials frequent suspicious contacts with the wrong sorts of Russians, held in secrecy and subject to many lies, drew Trump into it. Your "never-ending quest" is just a Republican attempt to politicize it, and you're fooling yourself if you believe that the rest of us don't realize that.

no... team clinton's over-active imagination in search of an excuse to explain the loss of an all but fixed election is what triggered the investigation.

C.H. Truth said...

Sure... no reason to see any evidence if you are "everyone else".

Trump officials frequent suspicious contacts with the wrong sorts of Russians, held in secrecy and subject to many lies, drew Trump into it.

Yes, like attorney/lobbyists who had a client who's father was a Transportation Minister, or possibly an incoming NSA talking to a Russian Ambassador, or a drunk low level Campaign hanger on who said the wrong thing to a $25 million dollar Clinton donor?

But of course, there is nothing wrong with hiring former British spies to to bribe Russian officials into digging up dirt on Trump, huh?

Question... would you say that your argument is more a matter of blatant hypocrisy or does it come more from a serious cognitive dissonance?

Just curious?

Trump is more popular than Dems want to admit

By Willie BrownMay 12, 2018 Updated: May 12, 2018 2:53pm

President Trump’s policies remain popular with many Americans, which means Democrats need to find a campaign strategy beyond just bashing him.

Rather than stoking the base by attacking Trump, Democrats need to come up with a platform that addresses the average voters’ hopes and concerns.

Democrats need to look like the adults, not like another pack of screaming kids on the playground."

You mean this politically wrong answer?

In 2010, Congress asked the EPA to investigate the safety of fracking. In 2015, the EPA issued a draft report. The bombshell statement from that report was that there was no evidence that fracking had "led to widespread, systemic impacts on drinking water resources in the United States." This report was cheered by the fossil fuel industry, but caused a backlash with environmentalists, and spawned many counterclaims that the "fracking process" had led to contaminated water.

You're right, the White House did bury it. Only it was Obama's White House.

Not a surprise really. This Administration is set up to censor science that doesn't follow along with Trump's talking points.

Imagine, censuring science by demanding the all the data be publish for peer review. According to WP the essence of science is that it must be secret.

Mueller may have a conflict — and it leads directly to a Russian oligarch

Special counsel Robert Mueller has withstood relentless political attacks, many distorting his record of distinguished government service.

But there’s one episode even Mueller’s former law enforcement comrades — and independent ethicists — acknowledge raises legitimate legal issues and a possible conflict of interest in his overseeing the Russia election probe.

In 2009, when Mueller ran the FBI, the bureau asked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to spend millions of his own dollars funding an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent, Robert Levinson, captured in Iran while working for the CIA in 2007.

Yes, that’s the same Deripaska who has surfaced in Mueller’s current investigation and who was recently sanctioned by the Trump administration.

I would have hired he Devil himself if I could get Levinson out but it is a conflict.

But does that really have anything to do with the separate investigation into Trump Russia collusion...

Which at this point consists of attorneys with seven degrees of separation, incoming NSA directors talking to Russian Ambassadors, a person hardly affiliated with Trump shaking hands with Russian officials at commencement speeches, and a drunken conversation between an unknown Trump campaign associate and a $25 million dollar Clinton donor.

Rev --
Across the world today, the fallout of President Trump’s reckless foreign policy has played out in news coverage in the form of a jarring split screen.

One side of the screen showed American representatives attending a reception to mark the opening of the US embassy -- a move the international community warned could lead to violence and set back hopes for peace.

On the other side of the screen, footage showed the chaotic scene of protests at the Gaza border, where more than fifty Palestinians have been killed today, with thousands more injured.

As with his decision on the Iran deal, President Trump’s movement of the embassy disregarded the advice of experts and allies. And as with that decision, real lives hang in the balance.

We will not stand idly by as this administration continues to put Israelis and Palestinians at risk. We will not stand by as he puts politics ahead of our national security in risking war with Iran.

This Thursday, join me for a special online briefing with experts and activists on how we can fight back against this administration's reckless policies and change our country's direction. We'll provide specific actions you can take over the following days, weeks and months to help restore sanity to our nation's foreign policy.
