And none of these ideas ― much less what remains of the legacy left by former President Barack Obama ― will survive a Trump-friendly Supreme Court. Roe v. Wade is gone. Democrats have no choice but to implement structural reforms to the judiciary if they hope to prevent decades of rule by the alt-right in America. At a minimum, that will mean expanding the Supreme Court bench to 11 justices under the next Democratic president. Other reforms, including term limits to remove aging conservatives, may well be appropriate.

The choice between court-packing (in 2021) and international fascism should not be difficult. Democrats can’t get their ends ― a decent society of mutual respect and shared prosperity ― by ignoring the means of power. Playing nice with fascist enablers in Washington will not stop fascism.
In short, many religious Christians of a traditionalist bent believed that liberals not only reduce their deeply held beliefs to bigotry, but want to run them out of their jobs, close down their stores and undermine their institutions. When I first posted about this on Facebook, I wrote that I hope liberals really enjoyed running Brendan Eich out of his job and closing down the Sweet Cakes bakery, because it cost them the Supreme Court. I’ll add now that I hope Verrilli enjoyed putting the fear of government into the God-fearing because it cost his party the election.
UPDATE: As co-blogger Todd Zywicki wrote to me on Facebook, “When you find yourself in the Supreme Court adverse to the Little Sisters of the Poor you might consider whether maybe you have pushed a little too far.”
If liberals were honest they would work to change laws they don't agree with. Not go through convoluted exercises trying to come up with the outcome they desire. Of course what they have done can now easily be undone.
We are a nation of law and order and should be. What now needs to be done is finding a fix to control the actions of activist judges who really refuse to follow the law,
If you don't like the law, pass a law you like. Elections have consequences. The Republic is in good hands.

Funny how rat hole posts about the great McConnell who was instrumental in obstructing Obama's pick....Now, he will go balls to the wall before the mid terms to confirm this next justice....Your hypocrisy is boundless, paybacks will be a bitch....and your complaining will be boundless...

n't call it the Biden rule for nothing and it's only applicable during presidential election years.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! And only being applied by Jowls McConnell.....
WASHINGTON — As a senator more than two decades ago, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. argued that President George Bush should delay filling a Supreme Court vacancy, should one arise, until the presidential election was over, and that it was “essential” that the Senate refuse to confirm a nominee to the court until then.
It is a rule because Jowls says it is...Sure was a nothing burger then,,,,,,and now etched in concrete...Very amusing fat head.....

The agency is under their attack as a National Campaign issue.
