Trump Says He'll be 'Signing Something' on Detained Children
Associated Press 53 mins ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has drafted an executive action for President Donald Trump that would direct her department to keep families together after they are detained crossing the border illegally. She was at the White House where Trump told reporters he would be "signing something" shortly.
YEAH, AFTER CONSTANTLY LYING THAT THIS COULD NOT BE DONE.
The effort to end what has become a major crisis for the Trump administration was outlined by two people familiar with Nielsen's thinking who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the effort before its official announcement.
It's unclear exactly what the president might be supporting, but he said he would be signing something "in a little while."
"We want to keep families together," he said.
YEAH, YOU DO NOW THAT YOU'RE FEELING THE POLITICAL HEAT FOR YOUR PATHETIC POLICIES.
The effort would mark a dramatic departure for an administration that has been insisting, wrongly, LYINGLY IN OTHER WORDS, that it has no choice but to separate families apprehended at the border because of the law and a court decision.
LYING LIARS!!!
Nielsen, the president and other officials have repeatedly said the only way to end the practice is for Congress to pass new legislation, though both Democrats and some Republicans have said the president could reverse it with a simple phone call.
The news in recent days has been dominated by searing images of children held in cages at border facilities, as well as audio recordings of young children crying for their parents.
One of the people familiar with Nielsen's thinking said she believes there is no certainty that Congress will act to fix the separation issue. Asked about the possibility of an executive order on immigration, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters: "We'll keep you posted. When we have an announcement to make, we'll make it."
Trump had tweeted earlier Wednesday that he was "working on something." "It's the Democrats fault, NO IT'S NOT, LIAR! they won't give us the votes needed to pass good immigration legislation. They want open borders, which breeds horrible crime. LIAR! Republicans want security. But I am working on something - it never ends!" he wrote.
TRUE, YOUR LYING NEVER ENDS.
Homeland Security officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The administration recently put into place a "zero tolerance" policy in which all unlawful border crossings are referred for prosecution — a process that moves adults to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and sends many children to facilities run by the Department of Health and Human Services. Under the Obama administration, such families were usually referred for civil deportation proceedings, not requiring separation.
THAT WAS WHEN WE HAD A GOVERNMENT THAT HAD BOTH A BRAIN AND A SOUL.
The policy had led to a spike in family separations in recent weeks, with more than 2,300 minors were separated from their families at the border from May 5 through June 9, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The effort would mark a dramatic departure for an administration that has been insisting, wrongly, LYINGLY IN OTHER WORDS, that it has no choice but to separate families apprehended at the border because of the law and a court decision.

Trump says he will sign something 'pre-emptive' on immigration
Jun 20th 2018 12:19PM
WASHINGTON, June 20 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he would sign something "pre-emptive" soon to solve the problem of immigrant families being separated at the U.S. southern border, which has sparked outrage in the United States and abroad.
It was not immediately clear what Trump, who had previously blamed the family separations on Democrats, LIAR would sign. An earlier report from Fox News Channel said the Trump administration was considering an executive order that would allow immigrant families who cross the border illegally to stay together longer than is currently permitted.
Photos of youngsters in cages and an audiotape of wailing children have sparked anger at home from groups ranging from clergy to influential business leaders, as well as condemnation from abroad.
Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House, said he hoped his measure would be matched with legislation in the U.S. Congress. The House of Representatives was to vote on Thursday on two bills designed to halt the practice of separating families and to address other immigration issues. But Republicans said they were uncertain if either measure would have enough support to be approved.
Trump campaigned on stopping illegal immigration and has fiercely defended his administration's actions. He had called on Democratic lawmakers to stop the family separations LIAR, even though his fellow Republicans control both chambers in Congress LIAR and his own administration implemented the current policy LIAR.
A Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll released on Tuesday showed fewer than one in three American adults supporting the policy.
Funny how the left has changed the semantics of their argument.
It went from the very concept of border family separation being a specific Trump policy...
to the idea that the fact that the Trump administration is detaining more immigrants than the Obama Administration did, and thus we are seeing an "increase" in family separation.
Basically the left was caught red handed in their lie, and like they generally do, they drift away, while still finding fault in Trump.

Melania just called the secret service about peter Fonda's ugly tweet about her son Baron.
I guess children being off limits only applies when a dem is in the Whitehouse.
Fonda should expect a visit any time now.
