The American Bar Association is calling on the Senate Judiciary Committee to halt the consideration of President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh until an FBI investigation is completed into the sexual assault allegations that have roiled his nomination.

It was one of the most significant hearing for many years. Judge Cavanaugh will have a lifelong membership on one of the three branches of government. Because there is no term limit this is very significant.

Just to keep it simple. Doctor Ford was a very good and emotional witness. I have to believe her before she has nothing to gain by her testimony and accusations against Judge Cavanaugh.

He lost any credibility in my opinion was when in his very angry 15 minute statement he said that this entire accusation was in reaction to the election of Donald Trump. He blamed Bill and Hillary Clinton and the left wing for creating these accusations against him. I'm not going to get into Senator Lindsey Graham. He was an embarrassment.

And btw Scott the Vikings got their asses kicked.

I completely disagree with Roger. Kavanaugh solidified himself with his forceful testimony. And Graham was epic. The senate republicans met last night. Everyone stood and cheered when Graham walked in.

And Cornyn also did well yesterday. He did s great job of explaining why it was not a job interview. People aren't accused if multiple crimes in interviews.

He will be approved, as he should be.

And the actions by democrats, particularly feinstein, will go down in history along side McCarthy.

Brett crying like a little girl was another act...He is about as trustworthy as trump. He has a singular purpose, keep the base happy in spite of the damage he can create. As ballz claimed the to the other day that more women voted for trump was completely discredited, women are abandoning the GOP in droves and forever will alter the demographic of the old white man party who can't die off fast enough....sad, so sad...

ROME (AP) — The magazine of the Jesuit religious order in the United States has publicly withdrawn its endorsement of Judge Brett Kavanaugh as Supreme Court justice following testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee by the Jesuit-educated Kavanaugh and the woman accusing him of sexually assaulting her decades ago.

In an editorial posted late Thursday, America magazine said it had no special insight into whether Kavanaugh or Christine Blasey Ford is telling the truth. But it said that the nomination was no longer in the interests of the country and "should be withdrawn."

"If Senate Republicans proceed with his nomination, they will be prioritizing policy aims over a woman's report of an assault," the editors wrote. "Were he to be confirmed without this allegation being firmly disproved, it would hang over his future decisions on the Supreme Court for decades and further divide the country."
