Julie Swetnick - corroboration issues

So this is starting to be a consistent theme. Allegations of sexual misdeeds by Judge Kavanaugh followed by a list of people who supposedly were there, but either cannot corroborate or outright deny that any such event actually happened.

But Julie Swetnick has taken this to a whole new level of providing corroborating witnesses with no ability to corroborate. Let's recap her claims of corroboration:
  • She claims she told her mother back when it happened. She is deceased.
  • She claims she told a police officer when it happened. He is deceased.
  • She provided four names of people would could corroborate. At least one is deceased.
According to NBC (who recently interviewed Swetnick) - they attempted to reach out to those people named who still appear to be alive, and the only one who responded... did not have any recollection of any of these events.

Swetnick said she told her mother and reported the incident to Montgomery County police. Her mother and the police officer who took the report are both dead, and the department told NBC News it could take weeks to retrieve records about the incident.

President Donald Trump has remained supportive of his Supreme Court pick, telling reporters on Monday that he believed the ongoing FBI investigation into Kavanaugh's background would be "a good thing."

Also Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the full Senate would vote on Kavanaugh's nomination this week.

Mitch wants to get the voting done before those records come to light.
Then can K. be impeached if/when they do?

Deep in a Washington Post article published on Sunday, the paper offered details of Swetnick’s past legal fights that raise serious questions about her credibility:

In its civil complaint in a state court in Oregon, the company said Swetnick, a software engineer, was an employee for a few weeks before its human resources department received a report that she had engaged in “unwelcome sexual innuendo and inappropriate conduct” toward two male co-workers at a business lunch.

The lawsuit said that Swetnick in turn accused Webtrends of subjecting her to “physically and emotionally threatening and hostile conditions” and that she claimed that she’d been sexually harassed by four co-workers. The co-workers denied the allegations, the suit said.

Company officials later determined, the suit said, that Swetnick had provided false information on her employment application. The suit alleged that she had misrepresented the length of time she worked at a previous employer and falsely claimed that she’d earned an undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.

Deeper in the same article, there was another case that suggested perjury:

Swetnick, who described herself in court records as a model and actor, claimed she had “numerous modeling commitments” with several companies at the time of the accident but missed out them because of her injuries.

To support her claim for lost wages, Swetnick named “Konam Studios” as one of the companies promising to employ her. A court filing identified Nam Ko, a representative of “Kunam Studios,” as a possible plaintiff’s witness for her case.

Ko, however, told AP on Friday that he was just a friend of Swetnick’s and that he had never owned a company with a name spelled either way and had never agreed to pay her money for any work before she injured her nose. He said he first met Swetnick at a bar more than a year after her alleged accident.

Keep in mind, from her description in her sworn statement, there should be dozens of witnesses.

If the incident was reported to the police department, there will be a record of the alleged sexual assault.

But you have already said that what ever happened when he was in high school doesn't matter. Now you are widening the timeline that isn't relevant to his appointment to the Supreme Court.

That's nonsense. All of the records are on-line and could be retrieved in a manner of seconds.

The only reason they couldn't be retrieved is that they never existed in the first place.

hey alky, funny thing about your new buddy chad...

he did not recall a single instance in which kavanaugh passed out, blacked out, or suffered memory loss as a result of over-drinking.

not one. just some generalized horseshit about "having too much." last i checked that's not a crime.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/30/us/politics/chad-ludington-statement-brett-kavanaugh.html

so what we've learned is that kavanaugh was an all too typical college student.

looks like your stuck with slutnick.

Married women are moving away from Republican candidates. This is just going to widen the numbers. The pu***y grabbing President nominated a sexual predator for the Supreme Court because he believes in an expansion of Presidential authority.

We were warned about the powers of the President. They have been expanding Presidential authority on both sides. Trump is trying to expend them even further.

Do you ever once think for yourself Roger?

Nevermind. We already know the answer.

Police records in many jurisdictions have not been converted into electronic records. The search for paper records is very time consuming .

in montgomery county you can get a report for 10 bucks. partially redacted if you were not directly involved. a report from the 80's is probably in a file box somewhere.

needless to say it's not a big deal.

the only thing that could prevent someone from getting slutnicks report is that she never filed one in the first place. which is likely since everything else she's said has turned out to be bullshit.

And another feckless R hiding in the men's room to avoid reality,,,,,what a chickenshit like the rest of you!!!!

On Monday, three women approached Republican senator David Perdue of Georgia at the Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., asking whether he would vote to approve Kavanaugh. One informed him she was a sexual-assault survivor; another asked him about the millions of women who have come out about their own experiences: “You don’t feel like you have to answer any questions to people who have come out about their sexual assaults?”

The three women — sexual-assault survivors Patti Serrano and Jennifer Epps-Addison, of the Center for Popular Democracy advocacy group, along with Arizona State Representative Isela Blanc — also asked Perdue whether he supports a full FBI investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh.

Perdue ignored the women, even pushing one — she can be heard saying “Don’t push me” on the escalator — before literally dodging them to hide in the men’s bathroom. When the survivors tried to introduce themselves and shake his hand, Perdue said, “Don’t touch me.”

you've been stating this for weeks with no legitimate substantiation or corroboration.

i did find some wishful thinking from NPR though:

Married Women May Be Moving Away From The GOP

https://www.npr.org/2018/10/02/651439266/married-women-may-be-moving-away-from-the-gop

notice the author say "may" not "are."

and here's your money quote:

""Married women have, especially in the last six months, turned against Trump and also are starting to lean towards voting more Democratic in the congressional races, which is a pretty significant change," said Anna Greenberg, a Democratic pollster with Greenberg Quinlan Rosner."

huh. a pollster offering up zero polling data to substantiate her opinion.

how quaint.

if only they had actually been sexually assaulted. just like the two nitwits who flaked out on flake in the elevator.

they're activists, not victims. and lying about being a victim like dr. cray cray did is really disgusting.

I disagree. Feminists are their own worst enemies, and enemy of women.

Also, they want men to NEVER be believed. I'm not succumbing.

TO HELL with the notion that women must be believed no matter what. Lying skanks is what these 3 women are, and we ALL know more

He stated the truth about how the President and his supporters believe that the feminist movement is a danger to society. Women need to know their place. Where their man tells them to be.

This will thrill Scott and rrb

Under new State Department requirements, the United States will only recognize marriages -- not same-sex partnerships -- when granting diplomatic visas to partners.

The change, which took effect Monday, impacts the partners of United Nations officials, ambassadors, full-time embassy and consulate staff, and foreign military members stationed at US military bases or assigned to a foreign embassy or consulate in the US, among others.

Since 2009, the US had accepted same-sex domestic partners as family members when granting certain classes of diplomatic visas. Under the new guidance, the US will only accept legally married spouses when granting new visa accreditations. Those in domestic partnerships who are currently in the US will have until the end of the year to get married. Partners who don't get married by that deadline will have 30 days to leave the country.

but you left this out, alky rapist:

Two government officials said the change was made in order to make the requirements the same for same-sex and heterosexual couples.

"The change in policy ensures consistent treatment between opposite-sex partners and same-sex partners by requiring that same-sex partners, like opposite-sex partners, must marry to qualify for derivative diplomatic visas," a State Department official said. They said that there are a limited number of people who will be affected by the new policy.
