Talk of Manafort Pardon heating up again?

Manafort accused of lying
Prosecutors with Mueller's legal team told a judge Monday that Manafort breached his cooperation agreement and lied to investigators, a new court filing showed. Manafort’s legal team has disputed that charge, telling a federal judge that the embattled former Trump adviser “believes he has provided truthful information and does not agree with the government’s characterization or that he has breached the agreement.”
In other words, Manafort isn't providing special counsel with the information that they would like to hear, so they are threatening him with a longer prison sentence. I think this provides a major hole in the rhetoric that Manafort is singing about Russian Collusion. The truth, as it has been reported by people in the know, is that Manafort's cooperation is in regards to bringing other people who committed similar crimes to him (rather than anything to do with Russia).  He had other business partners and associates who the Government would like to charge.

Either way, this seems to be a bad sign for Mueller and company. Anyone else getting a sense that the days of special counsel may be numbered?

"Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz quickly backpedaled on a very Trumpian stream of tweets about the legality of using tear gas against migrants attempting to penetrate the U.S. border."

Aw shit in, Jane and Dennis fucked again.

imo, with this report, today was the day that the entire mueller investigation ceased having anything to do with actual law enforcement or justice, and now exists exclusively within the realm of the political.

i don't think this clusterfuck is close to being over though. in a month palsi, nadler, cummings, waters and schitt are in charge. and they're corrupt enough and stupid enough to keep this going for quite a while. everyone who's honest knows that this has descended into the realm of the absurd, but if democrats are willing to do what they did to kavanaugh, they're willing to go full retard with this mueller investigation as well.

everyone knows that an impeachment effort dies in the senate, but democrats are petty, juvenile, lying, assholes, and they will not pass up a chance to fuck with trump just because they can.

You came to a conclusion that is based upon your personal opinion, and assumptions. Your usual style.

In other words, Manafort isn't providing special counsel with the information that they would like to hear,

Prosecutors have the information about the questions they ask the accused. If they have information that proves he is lying your assumption is baseless.

Last Friday, the Trump administration -- 13 federal agencies working in coordination -- released the Fourth National Climate Assessment, a detailed document featuring the conclusions of more than 300 scientists that the planet is getting warmer, human activity is contributing to that warming and we are approaching a point of no return in terms of the damage to the climate.

It's a stunning document. It's also one that President Donald Trump and his administration don't, uh, believe.

"I don't believe it," Trump told reporters Monday of the report, acknowledging that he had only read "some" of the study.

Then, on Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders took the whole thing a step further. "We think that this is the most extreme version and it’s not based on facts," Sanders said. "It’s based on -- it’s not data-driven. We’d like to see something that is more data-driven."

Let's be very clear about what is going on here: The President and his official spokesperson are rejecting the conclusions of a detailed study conducted by the Trump administration because the findings of that study don't comport with the President's long-held beliefs that climate change just isn't a real thing.

And this is far from the first time this has happened. Back in 2017, the US intelligence community unanimously concluded that Russia had sought to interfere in the 2016 election to help Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton. Trump has continued to raise questions about whether Russia actually did it. Earlier this month, the CIA determined that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had personally ordered the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump, in an official White House statement, said "our intelligence agencies continue to assess all information, but it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event -- maybe he did and maybe he didn't!"

The Point: Facts are not the sort of thing you get to decide whether you believe or not. Especially when your own administration is the one providing the facts!

I figured that the racist Republican candidate would win the election in Mississippi. Trump rallied the white supremacist movement to get out and vote.

Prosecutors usually have the information. It's not just "if" it's standard for investors to be prepared for questioning people who are pleading guilty with the intent of getting a shorter sentence. Manafort is either a liar or is not capable of telling the truth.

He could also be seeking a pardon from the President. But not all of the changes are federal crimes that are not eligible for a pardon from the President.

He's going to spend the rest of his life in prison.

chris cillizza - cnn assclown extraordinaire.

LOL. good one alky.

and btw, i read the section of the report that speaks to my region - the northeast, and specifically their assessment of the impact on agriculture. that would include "milk cattle ranchers" alky.you would think that at least one of the persons responsible for assembling this thing would wish to get their facts straight, specifically in the area of agricultural practices, growing seasons, impacts of precipitation, etc. i personally know some very smart people at the university level and at NRCS who would probably have to restrain themselves from slapping the living shit out of the "researchers" who got so much so wrong.

this was a massive propaganda piece funded by our tax dollars and authored by a bunch of 0linsky holdovers. and since the ice caps were supposed to have melted away four years ago, and we were supposed to have dead polar bears falling out of the fucking sky - among other predictions that turned out to be pure unadulterated bullshit - i applaud the administration for not taking this report seriously.

and to compare it to non-existent russian collusion only confirms the fact that cillizza is an assclown.

you see alky, i'll start taking this climate change stuff seriously when those who are constantly lecturing us about it start taking it seriously...

San Francisco International Airport’s corporate jet traffic rose roughly 30 percent during an international climate change conference in California, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

[...]

More than 4,000 elected officials, executives and environmentalists converged in San Francisco for the climate conference where participants discussed the threat of climate change and looked for solutions.

Corporate jet traffic increased 30 percent over normal at San Francisco’s airport during the three-day conference, with much of the congestion due to attendees, airport spokesman Doug Yakel told The San Francisco Chronicle.

private jet-setting around the planet from one champagne and caviar climate circus to the next is probably not the best way to get us common folk to take you seriously.

at least fly coach like the rest of us, you preening, sanctimonious assholes.

What a fun game! If this story had been true, it would have been proof of the conspiracy theory the Resistance/Media/NeverTrump has peddled without evidence for years but being upset about it being false means that you’re also guilty!

Investigation appears to be homing in on the element that I spoke of almost two years ago, what needed to be proved to demonstrate "corrupt intent", which is necessary for obstruction of justice charges.

You'll recall that I explained that the significance of "collusion" was that it creates a motive and intent to prevent its discovery, and those numerous actions to impede the investigation then become criminal. Collusion requires communications, coordination, and some form of quid pro quo. Apparently the first two are likely to be demonstrated by Mueller, and are likely the subject of Mueller's claims of Manafort non-cooperation. Quid pro quo, we have obviously the removal of sanctions over Ukraine, and if those were discussed in the meetings, then that's the ballgame.

Now realize that NONE of us know exactly what Mueller has or where he's going, and this is all connecting the dots. But those dots just got a lot bigger and closer, and it's sending Trump into full blown panic mode. Stay tuned - it's not time for my victory dance YET but the band is warming up.
