On Sunday, U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler, who will lead the Judiciary Committee when Democrats take control of the House of Representatives next month, said if the payments were found to violate campaign finance laws it would be an impeachable offense.
His Democratic counterpart on the Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam Schiff, said Trump could be indicted and could "face the real prospect of jail time."
Under U.S. law, campaign contributions, defined as things of value given to a campaign to influence an election, must be disclosed. Such payments are also limited to $2,700 per person.

no alky,
what nadler said was this:
“They would be impeachable offenses. Whether they’re important enough to justify an impeachment is a different question,” said Representative Jerry Nadler on CNN.
Anonymous Myballs seeing America become great again said... In 2013, then president Obama broke campaign finance laws and had to pay $375k in fines.
And you wonder why I think you are a flaming asshole.....The obama fines were paper work reporting issues, not payments to whores to keep them quiet and directing your lawyer to commit a felony....Yeah he had millions he could have paid but was too cheap to lay it out or not wanting his wife to find out.......such a douche, all the time...
In marked contrast, though, when it was discovered that Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign was guilty of violations involving nearly $2 million – an amount that dwarfs the $280,000 in Cohen’s case – the Obama Justice Department decided not to prosecute. Instead, the matter was quietly disposed of by a $375,000 fine by the Federal Election Commission.
"I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be," Comey told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace, "but they have to win. They have to win."
Yeah, he's not partisan. But he is also worried shitless that all this running out the clock could be futile if Trump gets a second bite of the apple to bring Comey to justice now that he's familiar with Washington and it's workings and with a Republican Congress in 2020. Release unredacted documents, follow up on all the 2016 election unmaskings, FISA warrant "justifications", the inhouse "resistance" and finish cleaning up the slime left from Obama. HUGE job.
Lot's of weaseling there. First you have to establish the fact that Trump directed Cohen to pay the hush money. Given that Cohen has no credibility, there would have to be some independent information.
Next you would have to determine whether the pay outs were "campaign contributions". If Cohen had an expectation of being reimbursed then they weren't contributions of any kind. And if they were a directed expenditure then good luck trying to proved it was a campaign expenture as opposed to a personal expendure.
if trump's payouts to whore's are campaign contributions then so is every cent of the $17M in taxpayer $$$ congress has paid out to sexual harassment victims. what other purpose do those payouts serve other than to facilitate reelection by making sure that congressperson's constituents don't find out about it?

Sure rectum breath.....you can't tell the difference between harassment and paying for services with campaign funds.....no wonder why you flunked out of ag school....LOLOLOL

hats off to whoever was able to pack that much asshattery into just over three minutes.

Maybe we should see him frog marched to jail too.
Trump is a billionaire. He could easily make a payment from his personal account. He doesn't need to raid campaign funds.
And the thread video shows just how absurd and desperate the left is.

i can understand why you avoid the direct quote since it was so fucking idiotic...
the offence is impeachable, yet perhaps not important enough to justify impeachment.
let's bask in the glory of this 'alky' logic.

What is remarkable is how unoriginal these hacks are. It's almost like job one is to plagerized each other. Talk about group-think.
