You are going to hear a lot about what a big deal this was. After all, General Flynn sat for somewhere close to 20 interviews and must have provided information. Yet, those interviews (for the most part) took place at the beginning of the probe, and how much of that back and forth is relevant to the President is anyone's guess.
The reality (like it or not) is that Flynn was a late comer to the party. He was not that involved (if involved at all) with the President's actual campaign and there has never been even any hint that he was involved with any pre-election "collusion".
In fact, the memo provided by Mueller suggests that Flynn's assistance was limited to two areas.
One was possible violations of the Logan Act by the Trump transition team. If you recall, Flynn was supposedly in the crosshairs for talking about sanctions with a Russian ambassador during the transition. In spite of the fact that every transition team talks to foreign diplomats, the idea (from the Obama administration) was that this was a serious violation of a criminal statute.
The other area was apparently in regards to a redacted (and unrelated) case that is not even being handled by the Special Prosecution team.
Occam's razor suggests that recommending jail time to a five star General over something that everyone now knows was a set up by Peter Strzok would be political suicide for Robert Mueller and his Special Counsel team. Flynn is not a shady character like Manafort and very few people would have the stomach to watch Mueller and gang put the screws to him.
Make no mistake. They had almost no choice but to go easy on Flynn regardless of what information he provided. That, more than anything else, is the logical manner to see this situation.

Flynn finally acted like a general....he felt a bit of morality and gave mueller substantial information on criminal activities that was redacted in the filing, we can only guess what that is and whom it may concern....I'm hoping for junior and eric who truly need a bitch slapping and an indictment.....Also funny that DC and Maryland have subpoenaed trump business records....charges that trump can't make go away....Going to be a fun ride for people like me.....LOLOLOLOL!!!! the objective of targeting Flynn has been met, there's no need toss him in the clink because the deep state has severely damaged him. He's bankrupt, he lost his house, he's going to have a problem getting employed.
