Stone said, “[FBI agents] walked me out in the middle of the street to make sure the CNN camera could get great footage of the whole thing. The street was sealed off, so how CNN had a camera right outside the door; that’s very hard to understand, because nobody else was allowed on the street.”

Trump had a secret meeting with his buff Vladimir Putin.
Donald Trump sat down with Vladimir Putin for several minutes of conversation at the end of an evening event at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires in November, with no translator or note-taker from the US side to record the dialogue between the leaders, according to people who had direct knowledge of the encounter or were briefed on it.
The discussions between the US and Russian presidents occurred at the 19th-century Colón theatre in the Argentine capital, as world leaders and their spouses or guests were streaming out of the building.
Mr Trump was accompanied by Melania Trump, his wife, but no staff, while Mr Putin was flanked by his translator. The four of them sat at a table and were among the last to leave.
The White House has acknowledged the two leaders met in Buenos Aires, after Mr Trump cancelled formal bilateral talks following Russia’s November attack on three Ukrainian naval vessels in the Azov Sea.
Mr Trump’s aides characterised the Putin encounter as one of several “informal” conversations that Mr Trump had with his counterparts that evening. The accounts of people familiar with the conversation said it appeared longer and more substantive than the White House has acknowledged.
According to a Russian government official’s account, the two leaders spoke for about 15 minutes about a number of foreign policy issues, including the Azov Sea incident, and the conflict in Syria. They also discussed when they could have a formal meeting, the official said.
Mr Trump explained that a full meeting with Mr Putin was impossible at the time, and the Russian leader responded by saying he “was not in a hurry” and remained ready to meet when it suited Mr Trump best, the Russian official said.
The US state department declined to discuss any details of the meeting, referring questions to the White House. A White House spokesman declined to comment beyond previous acknowledgments that a brief encounter occurred.
The decision to meet Mr Putin and potentially discuss sensitive matters without advisers or a White House translator just two months ago could trigger new alarm bells about Mr Trump and his relationship with the Kremlin at a time when Robert Mueller, the special counsel, is still investigating his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia.
This month, The Washington Post reported that Mr Trump had sought to hide details of previous conversations with Mr Putin, including at the G20 summit in Hamburg in 2017, frustrating some top officials.
Mr Trump denied he tried to conceal details of the talks, saying informal chats at major summits were commonplace. “We have those meetings all the time, no big deal,” he said this month.
The meeting in Buenos Aires — which took place on the eve of Mr Trump’s working dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping at which they struck a temporary ceasefire in their trade war — came as Mr Putin faced international condemnation for his seizure of the Ukrainian sailors in the Azov Sea.
Mr Trump had cancelled plans for a formal bilateral meeting because of those tensions, but still decided to talk with Mr Putin in a more informal setting. ClarÃn, the Argentine newspaper, reported in early December that Mr Putin and Mr Trump had spoken for 10 minutes at the Colón theatre, citing diplomatic sources who called it “more than a brief greeting”.
The F.B.I. director, Christopher Wray, the C.I.A. director, Gina Haspel, and the director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, testifying before the Senate on Tuesday.
They clearly stated that they disagree with the President on NATO and his pathological claims that ISIS has been defeated. Plus the North Koreans are still retaining nuclear weapons.
WASHINGTON — They think pulling out of Syria and Afghanistan would be a debacle. They think North Korea cannot be trusted. They think the Islamic State is still a threat to America. They think Russia is bad and NATO is good.
More than two years into his administration, the disconnect between President Trump and the Republican establishment on foreign policy has rarely been as stark. In recent days, the president’s own advisers and allies have been pushing back, challenging his view of the world and his prescription for its problems.
The growing discontent among Republican national security hawks was most evident on Tuesday when Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader and perhaps Mr. Trump’s most important partner in Congress, effectively rebuked the president by introducing a measure denouncing “a precipitous withdrawal” of American troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
The senator’s repudiation came on the same day that Mr. Trump’s own intelligence chiefs gave Congress a radically different assessment of international threats facing the United States from the president’s own. They warned about fresh Russian efforts to interfere in American elections, predicted that North Korea would never agree to give up its nuclear weapons and made clear that the Islamic State is still plotting attacks around the world. They made no mention of Mr. Trump’s top security priority of building a wall along the southwestern border.
Nearly two weeks ago, more than two-thirds of House Republicans voted to overturn the Trump administration’s move to ease sanctions on Russian companies linked to a prominent oligarch, Oleg V. Deripaska. And last week even more House Republicans voted to bar Mr. Trump from withdrawing from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, as he privately suggested to aides several times last year.
“Perhaps as we now pivot to the presidential elections, the Republicans may finally be thinking, well, maybe we ought to recalibrate a little here and understand there are real risks and we have to provide a check and balance on the commander in chief in whatever ways we can,” said Wendy Sherman, an under secretary of state in the Obama administration.
Many traditional Republicans have been uneasy about Mr. Trump’s foreign policy since the beginning and from time to time have pushed back, most notably in 2017 when Congress nearly unanimously passed sanctions on Russia over the president’s objections. But the rupture of recent days comes amid disgruntlement over the 35-day partial government shutdown that ultimately failed to achieve Mr. Trump’s goal of extracting money for his border wall.

"I wanted to send a signal that we would not tolerate disruptions to our electoral process," Daniel said, according to the book. "The Russians are going to push as hard as they can until we start pushing back."
Daniel and Wallander then laid out a number of aggressive options, including targeting the Russian intelligence community and Russia-linked actors through a string of NSA-backed cyberattacks; leaking classified intelligence revealing the financial activities of Putin and his family members; and announcing a joint US-NATO "cyber exercise" to make clear to Russia that the US and the West was capable of crippling the entire country.
But when then-national security adviser Susan Rice learned of Daniel's plans, she called him into her office and told him to cease his operations.
"Don't get ahead of us," Rice reportedly said, and added that the cyber response team needed to stand down and "knock it off."
When Daniel later went back to his office, the book said, he told his aides, "That was one pissed-off national security adviser."

While President Donald Trump saw his approval rating plummet over the course of the government shutdown, Democrats experienced the opposite, reaching their highest level of popularity in nearly a decade, a new poll shows. Along those lines, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had the trust of more American voters than Trump.
Among American voters in a Quinnipiac University Poll released Tuesday, 38 percent approved of the way Democrats in Congress are handling their job, while 48 percent disapproved. Congressional Democrats’ approval rating was the highest since 38 percent approved and 50 percent disapproved in an early July 2009 survey by the university.
Republicans in Congress got a 30 percent job approval rating and a 65 percent disapproval rating, which was largely unchanged from surveys conducted recently.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday criticized intelligence and law enforcement officials after they contradicted him at a Senate Intelligence hearing on Tuesday.
“The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but….” the president tweeted.

“…a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!”
Trump abruptly withdrew from the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal after becoming president. He railed against the deal as “defective at its core.”
“It is clear to me that we cannot prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement,” Trump said in 2018.
But US intelligence officials told the Senate on Tuesday that Iran did not appear to be actively seeking nuclear weapons.
“Iran is not currently undertaking the key nuclear weapons-development activities we judge necessary to produce a nuclear device,” said Daniel Coats, the director of national intelligence.
“At the moment technically they are in compliance” with deal, Central Intelligence Agency director Gina Haspel later added.

President Donald Trump has told his intelligence services to “go back to school” after their annual threat assessment report contradicted the president by concluding that Iran is not currently taking steps to make a nuclear bomb. The threat report, released Tuesday, said: “We do not believe Iran is currently undertaking activities we judge necessary to produce a nuclear device.” That undermined Trump’s assertion that Iran was contravening the 2015 nuclear agreement. He responded angrily Wednesday, saying on Twitter: “The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. In 2017, Foxconn announced the largest investment of a foreign company in the United States when it selected Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin for a new manufacturing facility. Buttressed by huge economic development grants from Wisconsin, an endorsement from President Trump, and Foxconn CEO Terry Gou’s vision of a maker America, the plant was designed to turn a small town and its environs into the futuristic “Wisconn Valley.”
Now, those dreams are coming apart faster than you can say “Made in America.”
In an interview with Reuters, a special assistant to Gou says that those plans are being remarkably scaled back. Originally designed to be an advanced LCD factory, the new Foxconn facility will instead be a much more modest (but still needed!) research center for engineers.

As exceptionally cold air bore down on the Midwest Tuesday, President Trump took the opportunity, as he has before, to advertise his ill-informed speculation that cold weather disproves the fact of climate change.
“In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded,” the president tweeted Monday night. “In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can’t last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming [sic]? Please come back fast, we need you!”
President Trump listens during a roundtable at the White House on Friday. (Photo: Al Drago/Bloomberg via Getty Images) Global warming, of course, hasn’t gone anywhere. Scientists say this week’s so-called polar vortex is affecting the United States because a sudden jolt of warm air in the Arctic last month moved part of the icy air mass south.
“Where the polar vortex goes, so goes the cold air,” Judah Cohen, a winter storm expert for Atmospheric and Environmental Research, told the Associated Press. There’s only so much cold air to go around, and some climatologists suspect that global warming is actually contributing to instability in the jet stream, which has brought extreme winter weather to the continental United States in the last decade.
President Trump walks to the Rose Garden on Friday. (Photo: Jacquelyn Martin/AP) On Tuesday, temperatures from the Dakotas to Minnesota dropped as low as minus 27 degrees, with wind chills as cold as minus 59. On Wednesday, the high temperature in Chicago is predicted to be minus 12 degrees, which would set a record for the coldest high temperature ever recorded in the Windy City.
The forecast for Fairbanks, Alaska, was for a high of 12 above zero.
“Chicago Will Be Colder Than Mount Everest, Antarctica, And Siberia On Wednesday,” blared a chyron on CBS-2 Chicago.
While Trump may not understand how global warming can lead to extreme cold, members of his own government made a point of reminding Americans of just that Tuesday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Twitter feed appeared to be reacting directly to Trump’s weather commentary when it tweeted a message dispelling a myth about winter storms.
But a spokeswoman for NOAA denied that the agency’s tweet was a response to Trump.
“With the blast of severe winter weather affecting the U.S., we often get asked about the relationship between cold weather and climate change. We routinely put this story out at these times,” spokeswoman Monica Allen told The Hill. “Our scientists weren’t responding to a tweet.”

https://www.nytimes.com/

Classless Harris is a bimbo slut, a natural choice for Pres if you are broken roger.
God is unwelcomed in Nancy Polosi house.
"A draft of a new committee rules package expected to be approved this week would strike the phrase, “So help me God,” from the oath witnesses take when they testify before the House Committee on Natural Resources."
“Your stupidity knows no bounds,” attorney George Conway, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband.tweeted Trump today.
So is Kamala Harris going to sleep with Al Sharpton to get CNN debate questions?
Or is it someone else?
You wish that you would be able to get a woman that gorgeous to have sex with you and your mushroom penis.
El Chapo must have something on Nancy Pelosi.
Roger is now jealous of mushroom penises. Who knew.

Kamala Harris, not Pelosi.
You have your head so far up Trump's ass that you can't see the real world.
Putin has something on Trump.
Even in my worst days I wouldn't have wanted to have sex with Pelosi.
You seem to like her.
Now Harris walking back her foolish statement about eliminating all private health insurance. A bad move that will stick.

If Medicare was so great why is their so many Medicare + plans.
Putin has something on Trump.
Yeah the back of his hand. Colluder-truther.
Harris got a lot of negative feedback from the Democrats. So she's backing down a little bit.
Most Americans support universal healthcare, but how we do it is the question.

for every foreign election we've tried to ensure was free, we've corrupted many others. or tried to. your dear leader even used our tax dollars to prevent netanyahu from getting elected last time. we fuck with other countries elections like we own them. so from that perspective we have no room to lecture anyone else on fair and free elections.

putin did donuts on the white house lawn every fucking day 0linsky was in the white house. and he did them knowing he would never be challenged. not by a red line or otherwise.

plus, if totally government run health insurance was so great, canadians would not have had to sue their government - and win - to keep PRIVATE health insurance.

President Trump has reportedly donated $100,000 from his 2018 salary to an institute that researches alcoholism.
The White House confirmed to The Hill Saturday evening that Trump donated $100,000 to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, a subsidiary of the National Institutes of Health.

Or that people didn't get to vote on him getting that much money.
Probably a lot more than he made over his entire lifetime let alone paid in taxes. And so late into his life.

This is why no one reads Newsweek anymore. Trump's approval rating remains stable through the shut down. It was Nancy Pelosi's approval that took a nose dive according the the NBC/WSJ poll.

He appointed every single person who testified yesterday in the Senate Intelligence committee hearing.
He's the worst President ever elected.

Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but a source of potential danger and conflict. So sad....one of trumps accomplishments has come crashing down....MAWA>>>>>
Just a prehensile scream.

Global warming, of course, hasn’t gone anywhere.

On Tuesday, temperatures from the Dakotas to Minnesota dropped as low as minus 27 degrees, with wind chills as cold as minus 59.
