Actually less than half of the drugs are seized at ports of entry

Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy James Carroll exposes Democratic talking point as a complete fabrication

Yes, more drugs are seized (by weight) in the areas between the ports of entry than are seized at the ports of entry. This is in direct contrast to the ad nauseum lie perpetrated by the Democrats and then duly repeated by their minions in the liberal press.

But as we have all figured out by now, in 2019 the "truth" is about what you "want to believe", not what is actually real. Especially if you have an adoring media willing to repeat your lies over and over and over, and pretend they are facts.

I think every divorcee believes for a period of time that they traded their entire life down. Tough time for anyone (even Roger).

Sometimes it works out better, like it did for me. Who wouldn't want to get married to their dream girl at the Ritz Carlton in Paris France?

Personally I think there is plenty of stuff to give Roger grief about that doesn't involve marriage/divorce. I will stick to the dumb stuff he says about politics!

Not even sure that the Office of Drug Control measure any drug in volume. Not even sure how you "would" measure it in volum. When you buy cocaine, you buy it by the gram. When you buy heroine you buy it by the gram. When you buy pot, you buy it by the gram or ounce.

You purchase and measure all drugs by weight, Roger?

It's like saying the statement isn't real because they didn't measure it by height??

Either way, the measurement by weight would have been consistent in both places. Are you seriously suggesting that people with larger "volume" drugs (which would be what exactly) are more likely to bring it through a port of entry?

C'mon Rog... even you should be able to do better than this.

what the fuck does that even mean?

as scott explained, illegal drugs are sold by weight in every instance. do you think these scumbags are smuggling helium across the border? or pot like mulch by the cubic yard?

look son, just because the facts are rarely in your favor these days doesn't mean that your next best option is trying to change the terms of the debate by engaging in semantics or in this case, flat out dishonesty by virtue of plain ignorance.

it's not by accident nor is it a coincidence.

so you agree with jordan.

it's about time.

now then, isn't it amazing that the majority of the drugs seized were confiscated at a crossing, where there is an overwhelming law enforcement presence?

(kinda like how when willie sutton said he robbed banks "because that's where the money is.")

as opposed to say, a wide open gap in the border, monitored only by patrol, and an area where law enforcement cannot always be.

and what's with the highlighting of the word "percent"?

is there a point you're trying to make there sport?

here's the deal, alky -

when talking about amounts, it's measured in weight.

when talking about it as a part of the whole, a portion of the total amount seized, it's measured as a percentage.

these are not mutually exclusive nor even contradictory.

you're making less sense than ever.

get some help. soon.

Looks like more than 90% of the pot seized by the Border Patrol is away from legal entry points. Maybe 70% of cocaine as well. But heroin, meth, and fentanyl seizures at legal crossings exceed 50% of what the Border Patrol seizes.

But there's another office in CBP, the Office of Field Operations, that vastly exceeds the Border Patrol in it's seizures of each of these types of drugs. Like, by about a factor of 10. So, if their totals are also included, legal entry seizures drop below 10% for each category.

On his way to visit the tornado-affected areas of Alabama, President Donald Trump said Friday that those involved in Paul Manafort's case affirmed there was "no collusion" with Russia. The president claimed vindication while speaking to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, saying the "judge said there was no collusion," and that he feels "very badly" for Manafort.

But that's not what the judge overseeing the case actually said. Before announcing Manafort's sentence Thursday, Judge T.S. Ellis reminded the court that the longtime political operative's crimes were not related to special counsel Robert Mueller’s chief mandate.

The president later tweeted, "Bad lawyer and fraudster Michael Cohen said under sworn testimony that he never asked for a Pardon." "His lawyers totally contradicted him. He lied! Additionally, he directly asked me for a pardon. I said NO. He lied again! He also badly wanted to work at the White House. He lied!"

This admission actually opens up the president to some legal exposure, as was explained on Deadline: White House. It prompted former Deputy Asst. Attorney General Harry Litman to call him, "the worst client of all time" on air.

Warren sees Racism in Manaford Sentencing.

"Host Ari Melber asked, “Do you think, when you look at that statistically, that a similar defendant who might have been poor and black would have gotten a different sentence?”

Warren answered, “Oh, we know the data on this. Of course the sentence would have been different. In fact, study after study after study shows that for the exact same crimes, African-Americans are more likely than whites to be arrested, to be prosecuted, to be wrongfully convicted, and to receive harsher sentences. Race matters in our criminal justice system, and it is not a system of equal justice under law.”

And

Warren said, “It’s two justice systems. … People who’ve got buckets of money and are well connected get treated with kid gloves. Everybody else doesn’t.”

alky, you've gone insane.

i caught this guy on tv the other night, and he made the point that every republican president since nixon has tried (and some have had a measure of success) to improve or otherwise normalize relations with russia.

nixon did, reagan did, bush 41 did, as did bush 43. and now trump.

considering the fact that between us we control enough nukes to destroy the planet several times over, trying to get along with these fucks is probably a good idea. especially since we have the upper hand over them in significant ways, especially economically.

Stephen Frand Cohen (born November 25, 1938) is an American scholar and professor emeritus of Russian studies at Princeton University and New York University.[1][2][3] His academic work concentrates on modern Russian history since the Bolshevik Revolution and the country's relationship with the United States. Cohen is married to Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor of the progressive magazine The Nation, where he is also a contributing editor. Cohen is also the founding director of the reestablished American Committee for East–West Accord.

Omar, D-Minn., took aim at the president's famed slogan, while further criticizing the Democratic Party for “perpetuating the status quo,” in the interview with Politico.

“Recalling the ‘caging of kids’ at the U.S.-Mexico border and the ‘droning of countries around the world’ on Obama’s watch," Omar charged that Obama "operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor,”
