Sen. Rand Paul said he vote to disapprove of President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration at event in Kentucky on Saturday, clinching a bipartisan majority in opposition of the president’s move. “I can’t vote to give the president the power to spend money that hasn’t been appropriated by Congress,” the Kentucky senator said, according to the Bowling Green Daily News. “We may want more money for border security, but Congress didn’t authorize it. If we take away those checks and balances, it’s a dangerous thing.”This is not unexpected, nor does it really matter. The President has said he will veto the bill. The left has been trying to scrape together 51 votes, and now they have them. But getting to 67 votes will be an entirely different matter.

How the North Korea Summit Fell Apart
New York Times: “But Mr. Trump’s offer was essentially the same deal that the United States has pushed — and the North has rejected — for a quarter century. Intelligence agencies had warned him, publicly, Mr. Kim would not be willing to give up the arsenal completely. North Korea itself had said repeatedly that it would only move gradually.
“Several of Mr. Trump’s own aides, led by national security adviser John R. Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, thought the chances of a grand bargain for total nuclear disarmament were virtually zero. Some questioned whether the summit meeting should go forward.
“Mr. Trump disagreed. He had taken to showing what he called Mr. Kim’s ‘beautiful letters’ to visitors to the Oval Office, as evidence he had built a rapport with one of the world’s most brutal dictators. While some in the White House worried Mr. Trump was being played, the president seemed entranced — even declaring ‘we fell in love.'”

Bonus Quote of the Day
“There’s no one that could factually say there’s not plenty of evidence of collaboration or communications between Trump Organization and Russians.”

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, told ABC News that his committee will be issuing document requests on Monday to “begin the investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power.”
Said Nadler: “Tomorrow, we will be issuing document requests to over 60 different people and individuals from the White House to the Department of Justice, Donald Trump, Jr., Allen Weisselberg, to begin the investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power.”

Key Lawmaker Says Trump Obstructed Justice
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) told ABC News that “it’s very clear” that President Trump obstructed justice.
Said Nadler: “1,100 times he referred to the Mueller investigation as a ‘witch hunt.’ He tried to protect Flynn from being investigated by the FBI. He fired Comey in order to ‘stop the Russia thing,’ as he told NBC News. He’s dangled pardons, he’s intimidated witnesses in public.”

GOP Lawmaker Says Trump Violating Constitution
Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) denounced President Trump’s emergency declaration to fund a border wall, saying that Trump violated the Constitution by moving forward with the executive action, The Hill reports.
Said Amash: “I think the president is violating our constitutional system. And I don’t think Congress can grant legislative powers to the president by statute.”
He added: “You can’t just pass a statute that says, ‘The president now has appropriations power and bypass Congress.’ I don’t think that’s allowed under our constitutional system.”

We have entered the “mueller can’t prove collusion, but that doesn’t matter because collusion has already been proven” part of this delusional mass hysteria
Speaking of delusion, Hillary is still making speeches with new excuses for her loss. How pathetic.
I have to wonder when the Republicans put country over party.
At the exact same moment you do.
Roger, you take and take and take without shame from the tax payers.

When they decided to drain the swamp of the corrupt deep state
Back to the issue at hand. This was a realitivly safe vote for moderate GOP senators to prove their independence knowing it will never get pass a presidential veto.
Yep.
This was a realitivly safe vote for moderate GOP senators
Like the 48 safe times R voted to repeal the ACA and when push came to shove, failed?????
Hillary recently thanked McCain for his death bed vote against the repeal of your beloved Obamacare.
Denise, good morning.
Like the votes Socialist Democrats cast for boarder walls, but then when a real President gets elected that will build it, they bailed.
Like that.
America is a constitutional republic that relies on elections a peaceful transfer of power.
The least American thing you can do is to undermine and question the legitimacy of these elections and the ultimately the President himself.
Trump has been President for over two years, and liberals are still looking to undo the election.
This whole attack has been the most unpatriotic and selfish partisan behavior of our lifetime.
Yes , it has been.
The morning of when Hillary lost it was Triggered.
Pocahontas is out attacking VP. Pence.
Beyond laughable.
Pocahontas is out attacking VP. Pence.
As anyone should with his fake moral compass
dermine and question the legitimacy of these elections and the ultimately the President himself.
Which is exactly what trump did leading up to november......Amazing how your even your massive memory is biased, Lil Scotty....

Trump soars in the swamp.
Bill Clinton had been President for over six years, and conservatives are still looking to undo the election.
This whole attack has been the most unpatriotic and selfish partisan behavior of our lifetime.
The house of Representatives majority voted to impeach President Clinton. The Senate did not have sufficient votes to convict him and remove him from office.
The hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance since Donald Trump was elected President has reached epic proportions.
Oh Roger. Get over it. Find a job yet?
The Left are eating themselves.
Fun as he'll to watch.

ok alky... i'll bite.
what does clinton's impeachment have to do with trump?
clinton was guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice.
trump is guilty of neither.
so... i'm not seeing the connection here.
The hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance since Donald Trump was elected President has reached epic proportions.
it sure has. trump won fair and square. and that particular event has led your party to a national temper tantrum, complete with a rending of garments, clutching of pearls, and a collective collapse on the national fainting couch. and what could be interpreted as (in the words of felonia von pantsuit)...
a refusal to respect the results of an election, that’s a direct threat to our democracy.
schitt continues to insist upon something supported by exactly zero evidence, crisco nadler and mumbles cummings will continue to hold hearings for nothing, and trump just marches on to re-election.
get a grip, alky. you could start by heeding the wisdom of this man who proceeded to remind us that politics is a means to an end, but shouldn't be all consuming:

Donald Trump refused to say that he’d respect the results of this election.
Which Lil Scotty conveniently forgot when starting his POS thread that is pure bullshit....
3.8 million people leave the bread lines of Food stamps.
Another fake statistic.....Seems there are still 43 million on snap.....
"NEW YORK (AP) — Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday returned to Brooklyn, his birthplace, for the first rally of his second presidential campaign and sought to tie his working-class background to his populist views that are helping reshape the Democratic Party.
He predicted he would win the nomination in a field of now-double digit rivals and then defeat President Donald Trump, "the most dangerous president in modern American history."
After falling short in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, the Vermont independent told supporters at a rally at Brooklyn College, which he once attended, that his campaign is saying "loudly and clearly that the underlying principles of our government will not be greed, hatred and lies. It will not be racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia and religious bigotry. That is going to end."
Yep, because name calling work so well last Election for Hillary.
Donald Trump refused to say that he’d respect the results of this election.
Turns out he did. You? Not so much.
Wrong again Fatty.
39.6 million stand in the Federal Bread lines.
Down drastically since Pres. Trump election.
