“And one of the other things we did in our tax package is … [allowing oil drilling in] perhaps the largest field in the world oil and gas. I got it approved.”

Trump signed legislation allowing drilling in a portion of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The drillable portions of the area are not the largest in the world (it’s a relatively small area), and oil production capacity is less than that of Saudi Arabia, according to congressional Republicans.

“One in three women is sexually assaulted on the dangerous journey north.”

It’s undeniable that there is a pattern of women suffering sexual abuse on the journey north, but it’s hard to quantify. This 1-in-3 statistic comes from Doctors Without Borders, which interviewed 56 women for a report in 2017 and found that 31.4 percent were “sexually abused” on the journey; 10.7 percent were raped. But the figure was not based on a random sample and thus is not representative of the entire migrant population traveling through Mexico.

“Nobody shows up [for immigration hearings]. Three percent of the people come back for a trial. It’s insane.”

Justice Department data shows 60 to 75 percent of non-detained migrants have attended their immigration court proceedings. For the specific group of migrants Trump was addressing, asylum seekers, data suggests the return rate is even higher. The data for a program that Trump ended in June shows participants had a 100 percent attendance record at court hearings. They also had a 99 percent rate of check-ins and appointments with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to a report by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General.

“We had a rally at the airport [in Macon, Ga.] where 55,000 people showed up to the airport. It was one hangar. They had three other hangars that were full. They went so far back.”

Trump says he filled airport hangars — not one but four! — during a rally with Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp in Georgia. He previously claimed it was two hangars. But there was only one hangar. The crowd at this event was divided in three: people inside, people just outside the open hangar and a third group watching a TV screen on a different part of the premises, sandwiched between the airport and a corporate office.

Kemp’s campaign estimated that 10,000 people attended in total, and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office estimated 12,500 inside and nearly 6,000 outside, according to a fact check by WMAZ. The overflow crowd sandwiched between the airport and the corporate office numbered in the “hundreds,” according to Atlanta magazine. The most generous tally, 18,500, is a far cry from the 55,000 Trump claimed.

huh. it's almost like there's an emergency at the border or something...

Groups like this arrived again and again in February, one of the coldest and busiest months along the southern border in years. U.S. authorities detained more than 70,000 migrants last month, according to preliminary figures, up from 58,000 in January. The majority were Central American parents with children who arrived, again, in unprecedented numbers.

During a month when the border debate was dominated by the fight over President Trump’s push for a wall, unauthorized migration in fiscal 2019 is on pace to reach its highest level in a decade. Department of Homeland Security officials say they expect the influx to swell in March and April, months that historically see large increases in illegal crossings as U.S. seasonal labor demand rises.

The number of migrants taken into custody last year jumped 39 percent from February to March, and a similar increase this month would push levels to 100,000 detentions or more.

When 115,00 are in the area getting almost 10% of the population out is pretty amazing

only a fucking idiot would believe the bozo's post "fact checker."

On May 9, 2018, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Department of Justice (DOJ) component responsible for the immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) released updated court statistics, and announced that it intended to implement a "transparency initiative".

The court statistics included statistics for the first two quarters of FY 2018. Among the key takeaways:

The total number of pending cases continues to rise. As of the date those statistics were released, there were 697,777 cases pending before the approximately 334 immigration judges in the immigration courts, or just less than 2,090 cases per judge. That said, however, total case completions were up in FY 2017 to 169,150, as compared to 153,133 in FY 2016. Through the first two quarters of FY 2018, the immigration courts had completed 92,009 cases; if this trend holds, the immigration courts will complete more than 184,000 cases this fiscal year.

While this completion rate is off of the historical average, it reveals a reversal of the downward trend in case completions that had been occurring since FY 2008, with the exception of a slight uptick in FY 2015, from a 10-year low that occurred in FY 2014 (when the courts completed only 152,901 cases). That exception was likely related to the "surge" of unaccompanied alien children (UACs) and family units that occurred that year, and which drew off immigration court resources.

[...]

Interestingly, according to the EOIR statistics, the number of in absentia orders, that is, orders of removal issued in cases when the alien fails to appear, continues to increase. In FY 2017, 40,579 in absentia removal orders were issued, an increase of more than 26 percent over FY 2016, when 32,149 in absentia removal orders were issued. For the first two quarters of FY 2018, 22,411 in absentia orders were issued; if this trend continues for the rest of the fiscal year, the number of removal orders issued after aliens fail to appear for their hearings will surpass FY 2017.

The reason for the increase in in absentia orders is not entirely clear, but may reflect a concern amongst aliens with no relief, or weak claims to relief, that they are more likely to be ordered removed under the Trump administration than they were under the Obama administration. That said, the number of in absentia orders of removal has been steadily increasing since FY 2012, following a drop off between FY 2010 (20,412 in absentia orders of removal) and FY 2012 (16,491 in absentia orders of removal).

Remember when the mainstream media sneered at President Trump’s claims on how people allegedly being tied up, bound, and duct-taped women at the border? These outlets included CNN and The Washington Post.

As it turns out, Trump was right. The media outlet going on the record to correct the “fact checkers” on this issue is the New York Times, the queen bee of liberal media outlets, and certainly no friend of the president’s.

The shittiest governor in America, Andrew Cuomo, just reelected once again by NYC jackasses, wants to run for president. The country can't afford his mismanagement on a national scale. I'd even have kamala over that asshole.

Mothers are loading their daughters up on oral contraceptives in the expectation they are going to be raped on the way up north.

It's not all that hard to quantify.

Even if the Democrats had a good candidate, Trump was going to be a tough beat and the Democrats have nowhere near a good candidate.
