Beto O’Rourke referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “racist” on Sunday, accusing him of standing in the way of any chance of peace in the Middle East. While campaigning at the University of Iowa, the Democratic presidential candidate said Netanyahu has “joined forces with far-right parties who are inherently racist in their speech and the way that they want to treat their fellow human beings in that part of the world.” He later told reporters Netanyahu is a “racist.”I heard he then drew a picture of Netanyahu with crayons and wrote the word "racist" across his forehead for good measure.
I guess I am not entire sure that these up and coming Democratic politicians understand that they "used" to stand up for Israel and the Jewish community. Now they seem much more aligned with Palestine, and with two Muslims currently making a lot of wave in Congress, they seem to have taken sides with Muslims in general.
Perhaps they see this as a strategic electorate move. It's hard (otherwise) to see what they have in common with a religious group who still believes in the death penalty for being homosexual, and demands that all of their women wear headgear in public.

I grew up in Baltimore.
If I ran for office there and nicknamed myself "Jamal" to try to appeal to non-white people, I'd be rightfully called out for cultural appropriation/racism.

Like legal expert Alan Dershowitz has maintained from the start, Congress needs a "nonpartisan commission" to investigate the failings of the justice system in searching for a crime that was not found in the Mueller Report.
"Find out what went wrong and to tell us what needs to be done to make certain it never happens again," Kerrey wrote, pointing to four key questions:
Is the FBI Director free of political pressure to investigate candidates or elected officials on a partisan basis?Can we write rules to govern candidate and officeholders?How does the FBI decide to open an investigation? "A single campaign official suggesting the possibility of collusion with a foreign power or a document written as opposition research or a demand from a member of Congress are very thin reeds upon which to challenge the legitimacy of an elected official," Kerrey wrote."Are federal pardons justified?"
"Our democracy will survive the hostility of Vladimir Putin," Kerrey concluded. "What it may not survive is distrust of our system of justice. At the moment that distrust is deep and wide.
"We need a nonpartisan national commission to tell us what has just happened and to advise us on what we need to do to keep it from happening again."
