The President (who didn't attempt to raise any money in 2016 until he won the Primary) will likely head into the General Election with a significant money and organization advantage. Considering he won last time, while spending approximately 60% of what Hillary spent, this might be a problem for the Democratic nominee.
Let's see if he even gets a serious primary challenge. If he doesn't (and there is little reason to believe a serious challenger really exists), then he will coast through till the General. This is one of the big reasons why Incumbents are difficult to beat.
