ASHINGTON – Before they saw President Donald Trump, the thousands of supporters who attended his rally earlier this month in Pennsylvania first saw a symbol of the presidency: the iconic blue-and-white jet instantly recognizable as Air Force One.

As the presidential plane approached the small airport where Trump would speak, audio of air traffic controllers clearing it to land was piped through speakers. A senior Trump campaign aide posted a video of the plane taxiing up to the stage, where it would remain throughout the rally as a dramatic visual backdrop.

Trump's trip to Pennsylvania was only the latest example in which he has relied on Air Force One for campaigning, raising long-standing questions about how taxpayer money is allocated for political travel. The plane, usually a Boeing 747, has carried Trump to rallies, fundraisers and events billed as official business in states such as Pennsylvania and Florida that are crucial to his hopes for reelection in 2020.

Air Force One with President Donald Trump aboard arrives at a campaign rally in Montoursville, Pa., Monday, May 20, 2019.

Trump's campaign reimburses the government for a portion of the travel but in a mystery that has frustrated watchdog groups for decades, there is secrecy around how the White House accounts for Air Force One and other travel expenses.

White House and Trump campaign officials said they follow federal regulations, but declined to provide details.

Yep....that Lil Scotty sure knows how to pick em....!!!!

Adams has often commented on political matters. Despite this, in 2016 he wrote on his blog "I don't vote and I am not a member of a political party."[29] In 2007, he suggested that Michael Bloomberg would make a good presidential candidate

And he posts his drivel because he can....so sad!!!!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he was unaware of any effort to move the USS John S. McCain that was stationed near the site of his recent speech in Japan.

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to Reuters that an initial request had been made to keep the John McCain out of sight during Trump's speech but was scrapped by senior Navy officials.

Trump has long criticized the late senator on a variety of fronts and has kept up his attacks on McCain even following his death in August.

McCain, the unsuccessful 2008 Republican presidential nominee, was shot down during the Vietnam War and tortured by his North Vietnamese Communist captors during more than five years as a prisoner of war.

The USS John S. McCain is named for the late senator's father and grandfather, who were both Navy admirals.

If the order truly came from the "White House" then senior naval officers couldn't scrapped the plan. The president outranks them so it would be insubordination.

Apparently, the directive came from a low-level protocol officer in the Indo-Pacific command, apparently afraid of offending the president.

He was overruled which means this is a tempest in a teapot.

Lindsay Graham should subpoena Mueller to testify. Republicans have a few thoughtful questions to ask him.

BWAAAAAAA!!~!!!!!! Any unlawful order can be ignored, cramps.....show me how that would be a lawful order???????? Idiot

Tell me also oh wise asshole why trump has denied knowing anything about it????????

It would not be an unlawful order.

Tell me also oh wise asshole why trump has denied knowing anything about it????????

Because the story turn out to be phony, Nothing was covered up during Trump's visit.

Per @ckubeNBC: A spokesperson for US Pacific Fleet said the picture of the tarp is from Friday and it
was taken down on Saturday.

"All ships remained in normal configuration
during POTUS' visit,” CDR Nate Christensen said.

It wasn't covered because of Trump, it was under repair from a collision at sea.

So you saying that someone from the Navy, went to court, got an Obama Judge to rule that moving a ship was unconstitutional?

Did it collide with the Forrestal?

The USS John McCain collided with the tanker MV Alnic in the Singapore straits on August 21st 2017.

The collision put a gaping hole in her side and killed 10 sailors that were berth there.

Forrester? Funny guy.

The U.S. economy grew by 3.1% to start the year, slightly better than expected and providing some relief at a time when recession fears are accelerating, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.

First-quarter gross domestic product beat the 3% Dow Jones estimate but was lower than the initial 3.2% projection from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The decrease came due to downward revisions to nonresidential fixed and private inventory investment, two key drivers to GDP.!

Seems obvious from yesterday's statements that Graham is happy to just let the matter drop. He's not going to open hearings.

Exit question, Do you think that all the 2020 Democrat candidates are calling for Trump's impeachment because they know they can't beat him in a fair election?

White House and U.S. Navy officials confirmed late Wednesday that they had tried to keep the name of the USS John. S. McCain hidden during President Trump’s visit to Japan so that it would not appear in any pictures.

Much has been made of White House staff working to keep their boss calm and Twitter-tantrum-free, and this may have been the motive for a May 15 email between U.S. Navy and Air Force officials that included the line, “USS John McCain needs to be out of sight,” The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

The ship was named after McCain’s father and grandfather, and his name was added in 2018 just before the late Senator succumbed to brain cancer at age 81.

Trump denied any knowledge that aides had shielded him from seeing the name of the warship during his trip to Japan over Memorial Day weekend.

“I was not informed about anything having to do with the Navy Ship USS John S. McCain during my recent visit to Japan,” Trump tweeted. “Nevertheless, @FLOTUS and I loved being with our great Military Men and Women - what a spectacular job they do!”

One honest broker at faux news....wonder when trump will have him fired?????

Moments after Special Counsel Robert Mueller broke his two-year public silence to explain that he couldn’t charge President Trump with obstruction of justice because his hands were tied by existing DOJ policy, Fox News anchor Bret Baier said that the special counsel’s remarks were a far cry from Trump’s constant refrain that the Mueller report revealed “no collusion, no obstruction.”

Delivering a prepared statement during a surprise press conference on Wednesday morning, Mueller said that “charging the president with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider,” pointing to the policy dictating that a sitting president cannot be indicted. The former FBI director, however, added that “if we had had confidence the president clearly did not commit a crime we would have said so.”

“The Constitution requires a process other than the criminal justice system to formally accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing,” Mueller further stated, seemingly placing the ball in Congress’ court for impeachment.

Baier, appearing on Fox News shortly after the presser, told Fox’s audience that the special counsel was specifically contradicting the president and Attorney General William Barr’s interpretation of the Mueller report.

“This was not, as the president says time and time again, ‘no collusion, no obstruction.’ It was much more nuanced than that,” Baier, one of Fox’s consummate newsmen, declared.

And you slurpers all defend the russians hacking the election by accepting trumps inability to admit they were fucking with US....Yeah, the draft dodging rich boy is about as patriotic as a frog.....BWAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Turns out this was fake to. Both the White House and the Navy denied the story and in fact the name was on full display and not hidden during Trump's visit.

Disney CEO Bob Iger Says Georgia's Abortion Ban Will Make It 'Very Difficult' to Work There

Walt Disney’s CEO Bob Iger said the company would find it difficult to continue filming in Georgia if the state’s controversial abortion ban takes effect, Reuters reports.

“I rather doubt we will,” Iger said when asked if Disney would maintain their production there. “I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard.”

Earlier this month, Georgia legislators passed a bill banning almost all abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected, which is about six weeks into a pregnancy and before many women even know they are pregnant. The measure makes exceptions in the case of rape and incest — but only if the woman files a police report or if her life is in danger — and if the pregnancy is deemed “medically futile” due to a fetal anomaly.

Iger said it would be “very difficult” to continue filming in Georgia should the law come into effect in January next year.

Disney follows in the footsteps of Netflix, which said earlier this week that the company would “rethink” its “entire investment in Georgia” if the ban takes effect.

And director Reed Morano, who won an Emmy for directing three episodes of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, canceled her trip to the state where she had planned to scout locations for her new Amazon show.

I'm wondering if he'll find it just as hard to keep Disney World open when Florida does the same.

I know this is a hard concept to grasp but maybe every one denies the story because it wasn't true. And in fact when subsequent facts came to light, we found out it wasn't true.

I'm sure we will but I'm willing to bet his "morality" has a price tag.
