When your liberal propaganda comes up against reality!

The liberal talking points memo has been that White Supremacy groups like the KKK are growing like wildfire since the election of Donald Trump. Of course, there is no actual proof of this particular talking point, which is why it's considered little more than a talking point.

There was only nine people who showed up at recent KKK rally

One of the many ways this lie has been spread is by liberals suddenly taking a fond interest in an otherwise obscure organization called the Southern Poverty Law Center, who claims to investigate and identify "hate groups". The Southern Poverty Law Center will tell you that there is a growing number of hate groups and therefore a growing number of people who belong to these hate groups.

Of course what the SPLC will not tell you is that the new hate groups are not really new groups. They are groups that have existed for some time and for the most part have the same amount of members (or even less members). They simply were not identified as a hate group until just recently.

So what has prompted the large increase in these so called "hate groups" identified by the SPLC?

Well, it's quite simple. Most of these new groups are associated with the overall hate organizations from the various groups of Americans who are affiliated with the larger hate group otherwise known as Christianity. So if a Christian organization has ever been opposed to gay marriage, then SPLC has likely added them to their list of hate groups. If a Christian group opposed abortion and supported defunding of places like Planned Parenthood? Yep. They are now a hate group.

The truth is that the KKK holding a rally and nine members show up is not that unusual today. The Unite the Right rally last year ended up seeing a whopping total of about two dozen KKK members. When the Grand Pumba himself held a national rally a few months back, he got about a hundred KKK members to come join his conference.

So no, the KKK and White Supremacy is not a growing force. The only way you can claim a rise in hate groups is to redefine what is a hate group. This is just another piece of liberal propaganda that is nothing more than a lie, attempting to make the President look bad.

WASHINGTON — President Trump has rolled back environmental regulations, pulled the United States out of the Paris climate accord, brushed aside dire predictions about the effects of climate change, and turned the term “global warming” into a punch line rather than a prognosis.

Now, after two years spent unraveling the policies of his predecessors, Mr. Trump and his political appointees are launching a new assault.

In the next few months, the White House will complete the rollback of the most significant federal effort to curb greenhouse-gas emissions, initiated during the Obama administration. It will expand its efforts to impose Mr. Trump’s hard-line views on other nations, building on his retreat from the Paris accord and his recent refusal to sign a communiqué to protect the rapidly melting Arctic region unless it was stripped of any references to climate change.

And, in what could be Mr. Trump’s most consequential action yet, his administration will seek to undermine the very science on which climate change policy rests.

Mr. Trump is less an ideologue than an armchair naysayer about climate change, according to people who know him. He came into office viewing agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency as bastions of what he calls the “deep state,” and his contempt for their past work on the issue is an animating factor in trying to force them to abandon key aspects of the methodology they use to try to understand the causes and consequences of a dangerously warming planet.

As a result, parts of the federal government will no longer fulfill what scientists say is one of the most urgent jobs of climate science studies: reporting on the future effects of a rapidly warming planet and presenting a picture of what the earth could look like by the end of the century if the global economy continues to emit heat-trapping carbon dioxide pollution from burning fossil fuels.

The attack on science is underway throughout the government. In the most recent example, the White House-appointed director of the United States Geological Survey, James Reilly, a former astronaut and petroleum geologist, has ordered that scientific assessments produced by that office use only computer-generated climate models that project the impact of climate change through 2040, rather than through the end of the century, as had been done previously.

“I’m proud of the city,” Whaley tells TIME. “I think it is frustrating on how expensive it is today to keep people safe.”

Local officials estimate that the city incurred $650,000 in expenses due to the KKK rally. That cost included assembling more than 350 police officers in order to keep the peace, as well as barriers and other materials used to keep the nine KKK-affiliated demonstrators separated from the protestors.

Whaley adds that cost of securing the rally was compounded by the fact that Ohio allows the open-carry of weapons, which exacerbated safety concerns for police and local officials.

“The number of assault rifles was troubling to me,” Whaley says. “This place we live in now [is] where we have to really prepare for really bad scenarios, and that’s really expensive.”

The latest data I could find showing hate crimes riseng...

Nov. 13, 2018

Hate crime reports increased 17 percent last year from 2016, the F.B.I. said on Tuesday, rising for the third consecutive year as heated racial rhetoric and actions have come to dominate the news.

Of the more than 7,100 hate crimes reported last year, nearly three out of five were motivated by race and ethnicity, according to the annual report. Religion and sexual orientation were the other two primary motivators.

In addition to the tense political climate, the increase also points to a growing awareness among various law enforcement agencies of the importance of identifying and reporting hate crimes to the F.B.I.

Reporting hate crimes to the F.B.I. is currently voluntary. Last year, roughly a thousand more agencies submitted data than those that did the previous year.

But hate crimes remain vastly underreported. Only 12.6 percent of the agencies in the F.B.I. report indicated that hate crimes had occurred in their jurisdictions in 2017. Agencies as large as the Miami and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departments reported zero. (A spokeswoman for the Las Vegas police later said that the report was made in error and that there were actually 61 in the jurisdiction last year.)

“I wouldn’t feel too confident in those numbers,” said Sim J. Singh, the senior advocacy manager for the Sikh Coalition, a civil rights organization. Data shows that hate crime victims often do not trust that reporting will help them.

Denny,

There were less than a hundred at the national KKK rally just a few months ago.

The Charlottesville protests were a wide variety of groups, the largest being antifa and other groups counterprotesting.

The official estimates was that counting all of the so called "White Nationalists" groups (of which there were about a dozen represented) the entire number was between 250 and 500 (an estimate two dozen were KKK). The number of counter-protesters (antifa and such) numbered between 750-1000.

The rest of the people there were neither white Nationalists or violent counter protesters.

And of course you defend them and their right to vote for trump....

Or put it this way. If the government can take away a citizen's right to speak and vote simply for being members of the KKK, the why can't the government take your right to speak and vote away because you're an anti-Trump asshole?

Under a hundred proves that there really isn't much of a KKK threat in the year 2019, in spite of certain people trying to tell you that these things are "on the rise".

If a national rally attracting less than a hundred people is a threat that is "on the rise" - then we have better things to worry about.

Klobuchar: McCain Recited Names of Dictators During Trump Inauguration

This seems particularly unhinged. The media is constantly buzzing about how President Trump is unstable, but McCain’s behavior seems a bit…unusual.
Presidential hopeful Senator Amy Klobuchar told a crowd on the campaign trail that the late John McCain muttered the names of dictators as he watched Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“John McCain kept reciting to me names of dictators during that speech,” the Minnesota senator said, “because he knew more than any of what we were facing as a nation, he understood it.” She continued: “He knew because he knew this man more than any of us did.” Or it was because he was angry he would never be president like Trump and that despite his best efforts, Trump won the election? That could be a reason too.

One of McCain’s final public statements about Trump was made in reference to Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate,” he said.

McCain’s role in disseminating the salacious and unverified dossier, used to interfere with Trump’s election, should not be forgotten.
“… I think he (Steele) felt that … having Sen. McCain provide it to the FBI would give it a little more oomph than it had had up until that point,” said David Kramer, former McCain associate said in a deposition.

It was Kramer who gave the dossier to BuzzFeed and the website subsequently published the entire thing.

https://amgreatness.com/2019/05/27/klobuchar-mccain-recited-names-of-dictators-during-trump-inauguration/

Great picture of McCain surrounded by his fellow "resistors" at the inauguration. (Schumer, Sanders, Klobuchar etc.) The most generous takeaway is that he may not have realized he was just a pawn for the actual collusion.

Fifty or 100 years from now, we may well say that President Trump’s concerted effort to exacerbate climate change — and that’s precisely what it is — was the single worst thing he did in a presidency full of horrors. A new report from the New York Times gives new details about just how diabolical his administration’s actions have been:

In the next few months, the White House will complete the rollback of the most significant federal effort to curb greenhouse-gas emissions, initiated during the Obama administration. It will expand its efforts to impose Mr. Trump’s hard-line views on other nations, building on his retreat from the Paris accord and his recent refusal to sign a communiqué to protect the rapidly melting Arctic region unless it was stripped of any references to climate change.

And, in what could be Mr. Trump’s most consequential action yet, his administration will seek to undermine the very science on which climate change policy rests.

The goal appears to be to keep the government from ever confirming that climate change exists and, failing that, to do everything it can to make it look less serious than it is. The administration also plans to create a new panel to downplay climate change and discredit legitimate science on the topic, led by National Security Council senior director William Happer, who once said, “The demonization of carbon dioxide is just like the demonization of the poor Jews under Hitler.”

But I have to draw particular attention to this part of the Times report, discussing how the administration wants to neuter the National Climate Assessment, which the government produces every few years:

A key change, he said, would be to emphasize historic temperatures rather than models of future atmospheric temperatures, and to eliminate the “worst-case scenarios” of the effect of increased carbon dioxide pollution — sometimes referred to as “business as usual” scenarios because they imply no efforts to curb emissions.

While this is going on, the administration has taken a broad range of actions seemingly designed to increase carbon emissions, including moving to roll back emissions-limiting regulations on power plants and vehicles and open up public land to fossil-fuel development. (You can read a list of the actions here.)

So while the Trump administration is doing everything it can to prevent any reduction in carbon emissions, it is simultaneously trying to stop government scientists from explaining what will happen if we don’t reduce carbon emissions. That is simply mind-boggling.

GOP lawmakers say Trump wrong to criticize Biden in Japan. Very conservative Peter King!

Two Republican lawmakers in blue states chided President Trump during the Memorial Day holiday for attacking former Vice President Joe Biden during a four-day state visit to Japan.

"Wrong for @POTUS Trump to criticize @JoeBiden in Japan and to agree with Kim Jong-un. Politics stops at water's edge," Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) tweeted Monday. "Never right to side with murderous dictator vs. fellow American."

"It's Memorial Day Weekend and you're taking a shot at Biden while praising a dictator," Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) also tweeted Sunday. "This is just plain wrong."

During the trip, Trump tweeted that he "smiled" at North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's characterization of Biden as "low IQ." At a press conference Monday, Trump reaffirmed his agreement with Kim on Biden, telling reporters "Kim Jong Un made a statement that Joe Biden is a low IQ individual. He probably is based on his record. I think I agree with him on that."

King, a 14-term congressman, won by one of his narrowest margins in 2018, defeating challenger Liuba Grechen Shirley (D) 53 percent to 47 percent after winning 62 percent to 38 percent against DuWayne Gregory in 2016.

Kinzinger defeated his 2018 challenger by a wider margin, 55 percent to 41 percent, but as of 2019 is the only Republican representing an Illinois district north of Peoria.
