Proof positive of Democrat media gaslighting working as planned!

Mueller Report:
Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
_______
Half of American voters believe the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia, according to a poll released Sunday. The Fox News poll found that 50 percent of respondents believe there was coordination between the campaign and the Kremlin, compared to 44 percent who do not believe there was coordination. In March just 44 percent of respondents believed there was coordination.

So the reality here folks, is that the Mueller report went in one ear of many Americans, and right out the other. This is largely due to the excessive Democrat and media pounding of a variety of dishonest narratives, designed to brainwash those easily able to be brainwashed. Let's review some of the most egregious of the dishonesty being peddled

First and foremost is the attempts to confuse people "away" from the statement Mueller provides in his executive summary that I quote up front. How this is being done, is by replacing that executive summary statement when the statement made in the "charging decisions " area, where he suggests that no one was charged, because there was no establishment of criminal proof.

There isn't anything wrong with this statement on it's own. He was required to explain why he didn't charge anyone. The obvious answer was that there was no criminal proof. If there was no evidence in general, there can be no criminal evidence. But where it becomes dishonest is when it's suggested that this somehow replaces or redefines what Mueller stated in his summary.

It doesn't. The statement in the summary stands apart and above the other statement. Mueller found no conspiracy or coordination. Period. If he otherwise "did" but it didn't rise to criminal behavior, he doesn't state that anywhere, nor does he highlight anything that provides for that scenario.

Certainly he would not have stated what he states on Pages 1 & 2 of the report, if that was not what he meant to say.

Second is the attempt to confuse people with the failure to "exonerate" Trump on obstruction charges with the failure to "exonerate" Trump of everything. I have seen more than one dishonest politician, and more than one dishonest media broker make the suggestion that the Mueller report did not "exonerate" Trump of conspiracy or coordination.

But in fact, the report mentions nothing about not exonerating Trump of conspiracy. In fact, the idea that Trump was not found to have any criminal liability at all was not only mentioned several times in Volume I but also in Volume II.

Since Mueller made a point to say that he could not exonerate Trump on obstruction, but did not make the same statement in regards to conspiracy, it can be taken as direct evidence that Mueller DID feel that his report exonerated Trump of any wrongdoing in regards to collusion. Otherwise, he would have offered the same I couldn't determine it happened, nor could I determine it didn't happen logic in both volumes. He didn't. Suggesting he did is a flat out lie.

Third is the repeated implication that Trump and his campaign had over a hundred contacts with Russian agents or the Russian government. The fact is that the lion's share of the contacts in question had nothing to do with Russians with any sort of direct ties to Putin or the Kremlin. Even where there is some suggestion that a person had "ties", there was no proof offered of those ties, or any evidence that those conversations had any bearing on conspiracy or collusion, or obviously that would have been suggested.

The truth is that all of the contacts listed were thoroughly investigated, and none of them offered any evidence that Trump or his campaign was coordinating or conspiring with the Russians. This is really simple. Had any of those contacts established any conspiracy or coordination with the Russians (but just not to the degree of criminal proof), the Mueller report would have said so.

But the Mueller report states in black and white that no such evidence of any conspiracy or coordination existed. Period.

Bottom line: This is all in black and white for anyone who actually wants to read it for themselves. But that is not the way our society works anymore. People want bullet points. They want 280 character Tweets. They wants someone else to tell them what to believe. It's no wonder that our current generation is the first generation in history to be proven to be dumber than the previous one.

But this is America as we know it today. A bunch of stupid blockheads who cannot think for themselves. Even when offered a simple statement (in black and white) they simply refuse to accept it. More absurd, they willingly leave themselves open to being gaslighted by whomever has something to plant in their heads. They want to believe what they want to believe. Facts and evidence be damned.

So for you 50% who still want to believe the same lie... I feel sorry for you. You really are representative of the worst of society and the dumbest of society. Now go read the latest opinions in WaPo or NYT so you have something to respond with, because lord knows you don't think for yourself.

Trump accuses NY Times of 'treason' over Russia story

President Trump accused the New York Times of a “virtual act of treason” over a Russia story.

“Do you believe that the Failing New York Times just did a story stating that the United States is substantially increasing Cyber Attacks on Russia,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “This is a virtual act of Treason by a once great paper so desperate for a story, any story, even if bad for our Country.”

“ALSO, NOT TRUE!” Trump continued. “Anything goes with our Corrupt News Media today. They will do, or say, whatever it takes, with not even the slightest thought of consequence! These are true cowards and without doubt, THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!”

“The Corrupt News Media is totally out of control – they have given up and don’t even care anymore,” the president stated in another tweet. “Mainstream Media has ZERO CREDIBILITY – TOTAL LOSERS!”

In the piece Trump was referencing, the Times wrote:
“The United States is stepping up digital incursions into Russia’s electric power grid in a warning to President Vladimir Putin and a demonstration of how the Trump administration is using new authorities to deploy cybertools more aggressively, current and former government officials said.”

Trump last month floated the notion of being given two bonus years as president to make up for the time former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III spent on his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign. The president shared a tweet in which Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. declared, “Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup.”

The Coldheartedtruth will write a spectacular defense of Trump I the King of America!

I watched it this morning. I hadn't seen the President and his pathological reaction to the New York times reported on his attack on the power grid in Russia. Representative Steve Scalice said that he was glad we had gone on the Russians.

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) in an interview that aired Sunday responded to a report that the Defense Department is ramping up digital attacks on Russia by saying he is glad the Trump administration is getting aggressive on cybersecurity.

"I'm glad the administration has been taking aggressive actions," Scalise said in an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press, citing an executive order signed last year."

The New York Times reported Saturday the White House was escalating digital attacks on Russia's electric power grid. Two administration officials told The Times that they did not believe President Trump was informed in detail about the move to put code that can be used to surveil or attack in the Russian grid.

The second-highest ranking House Republican did not give a direct answer on whether it is a mistake for intelligence officials to not brief President Trump fully on the actions. He instead noted that the White House has pushed back on the story.

"The President's taking aggressive action against Russia," he said. "The message is being sent right now: If the Russians try to take some actions against our elections, or any other country, we are already ready to go after them."

You have lost your mind Scott.

You have a lot of options. But the "truth" is the President is not a good man.

If it was just politics, but its not.

We cannot impeach him. We the people have to remove him from office.

George H Bush is a good man. Reagan was a great man. Obama is a good man. I have been alive since Truman was President. I don't think that anyone else but Trump is a bad man. He has no respect for the office or the Constitution. It's all about him.

Even Richard Nixon was not a bad man. Faults of course.

We the people have to remove him from office.

Well Roger...

The truth hurts. Since Trump has become President the Times have been wrong as much as they have been right in their reporting.

The MSM used to bat .999 and when they were wrong that one out of thousand times, they issued a retraction, correction, and possibly even an apology. Now they get so much wrong, they would need an entire "retraction" section to keep up. But they no longer bother.

They print what they want to print. Whether it's true or not has become irrelevant.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Trump is lying. We have attacked the Russians power systems, like they attempted to do here.

He said that he would welcome dirt from a foreign entity. Clinton should not have done that either. But that doesn't excuse the President and his statements to ABC news. And the unedited video session shows that he asked for help from the Russians again. Remember when he asked for the lost email! Wikileaks released the report on the next fucking day asshole.

It's not irrelevant to you because you are blind to the President and his pathological behavior.

If they were proven incorrect they would have already issued a correction.

But they were not incorrect!

AOC: We must impeach Trump because he'll win re-election or something.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., warned Sunday there is "very real risk" President Trump will win re-election in 2020, sparking a rare response of its kind from the president: "I agree."

Her comments struck an unusually defensive tone for the 29-year-old progressive firebrand, as Democrats seek to winnow their list of 23 presidential contenders. Ocasio-Cortez also acknowledged that progressive frustration with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was "quite real" and spoke bluntly on her initiative to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which bars most federal funding for abortion -- and 2020 Democrat frontrunner Joe Biden's abrupt reversal on the issue earlier this month.

She actually voted for the Hyde Amendment LOL.

Roger, things are either true or they are not.

James Comey did not testify (as the front page Tims story suggested) that Trump was lying when he said Comey told him he was not under investigation. 90% of what they wrote about "Russian collusion" was dead wrong.

Even the stuff that cannot be proven "wrong" really cannot be proven "correct" either... not when everything you write requires blind faith in anonymous sources (which turn out wrong more often than not).

Used to be Roger, that the media didn't print anything that wasn't corroborated by real sources. They'd need a quote or tangible proof. Now they act as if the fact that someone "claims" something (without proof) is actually a story, in and of itself.

It's a religion now. Like having "faith" that god exists, you have "faith" that the NYTimes anonymous sources are both "real" and "accurate".

But hey, continue to believe it if you want. It's whats gotten you to this stage of your life. You couldn't be happier and more content right now, huh? You certainly seem well adjusted and logical. Ahem. Never get upset about anything.

Stephanopoulos: “Not on obstruction.”

Trump: “I don’t know. I answered a lot of questions. They gave me questions, I answered them in writing.”

Stephanopoulos: “Not on obstruction.”

Trump: “Look, George, you’re being a little wise guy, OK? Which is, you know, typical for you. Just so you understand ― very simple, it’s very simple ― there was no crime. There was no collusion.”

I believe that the New York Times does not fabricate information from anonymous sources. You have chosen to believe what ever the President says. His own staff will not present him with anything negative about his policies because he gets angry and shouts and tweets.

By Emily Rauhala June 16 at 2:52 PM
As their minivan rolled north, they felt their nerves kick in — but they kept on driving.

At the wheel: Lija Greenseid, a rule-abiding Minnesota mom steering her Mazda5 on a cross-border drug run.

Her daughter, who is 13, has Type 1 diabetes and needs insulin. In the United States, it can cost hundreds of dollars per vial. In Canada, you can buy it without a prescription for a tenth of that price.

So, Greenseid led a small caravan last month to the town of Fort Frances, Ontario, where she and five other Americans paid about $1,200 for drugs that would have cost them $12,000 in the United States.

“It felt like we were robbing the pharmacy,” said Quinn Nystrom, a Type 1 diabetic who joined the caravan that day. “It had been years since I had 10 vials in my hands.”

They’re planning another run to Canada this month to stock up on insulin — and to call attention to their cause. This time, they’ll be taking the scenic route, driving from Minnesota through Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan en route to London, Ontario, where Frederick Banting began the work that led to the discovery of insulin nearly a century ago.

Like millions of Americans, Greenseid and Nystrom are stressed and outraged by the rising costs of prescription drugs in the United States — a problem Republicans and Democrats alike have promised to fix.

Insulin is a big part of the challenge. More than 30 million Americans have diabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association. About 7.5 million, including 1.5 million with Type 1 diabetes, rely on insulin.

Between 2012 and 2016, the cost of insulin for treating Type 1 diabetes nearly doubled, according to the nonprofit Health Care Cost Institute.

Well that's a strange statement. Fabricating information from anonymous sources? Not even sure what that means.

Are you suggesting that these anonymous sources are never wrong, because clearly they are wrong quite often.

Are you suggesting that the NY Times just blindly believes that these anonymous sources are correct "this time" and therefor when those sources turn out wrong, that it is more of a "mistake" than a "choice"?

I am not sure what you are arguing here Roger.

Facts are that the stories that use anonymous sources turn out wrong all the time. Facts are that 10 years ago, these sorts of stories never would have seen the light of day without real corroboration.

Are you denying either of these facts, or otherwise just justifying them?

No, actually "YOU" should watch that movie...

Because the entire thrust of that movies was all the work Woodward and Bernstein put in to actually corroborate and prove what they were told by "deep throat".

They just didn't take the word of "deep throat" and print it. Nobody in the 1970s would have printed "anything" - much less allegations of criminal behavior of the President - without getting absolute proof.

Today, the NYT and WaPo want to "skip" all the work that Woodward and Bernstein did to get their story nailed down... and just print whatever they are told.

New York Times PROVES it is the enemy of the people

NYT: Pentagon, Intel Officials Have ‘Broad Hesitation’ To Tell Trump Details About Russia Operations, Sources Say

The Pentagon and intelligence officials are keeping some Russian operations from President Donald Trump over fears he would spill security secrets or oppose them, according to anonymous sources cited by the New York Times.
Officials did not give details to Trump of their plans to escalate U.S. cyber attacks on Russia, particularly the decision to put “implants” inside the Russian power grid, the NYT reported. “Implants” are a type of software code that can be used for both surveillance and attacking.

Anonymous intelligence officials said that they had “broad hesitation” about Russian operations because of both how Trump may react and fear that he would divulge private information, David E. Sanger and Nicole Pelroth of the NYT reported:
“Two administration officials said they believed Mr. Trump had not been briefed in any detail about the steps to place ‘implants’ — software code that can be used for surveillance or attack — inside the Russian grid.
Pentagon and intelligence officials described broad hesitation to go into detail with Mr. Trump about operations against Russia for concern over his reaction — and the possibility that he might countermand it or discuss it with foreign officials, as he did in 2017 when he mentioned a sensitive operation in Syria to the Russian foreign minister.”

The NYT article describes months of interview with various anonymous government officials who state that the U.S. is increasing its cyber attacks on Russia’s electric power grid. The decision is intended as a warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the NYT.
The decision not to include Trump in these plans is allegedly because of how he may react, and intelligence officials do not trust Trump to keep sensitive operations private, according to the NYT’s anonymous sources.

A classified document called National Security Presidential Memoranda 13 issued by Trump last summer gives General Paul Nakasone, Commander of the United States Cyber Command, more freedom to implement aggressive cyber operations without going through Trump for approval.
https://dailycaller.com/2019/06/16/pentagon-trump-russia/
-------------------------------
So if the NYT is correct they believe divulging top secret information is OK if it shows the president in a bad light, and make no mistake that is what they are doing. While accusing him of not being able to keep this program secret(if that program is in place and he has not been briefed) they do what they accuse him of.

Shameful

Denny,

In the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s -- no newspaper would have printed the story about how James Comey was going to contradict the President in his testimony before congress.

The reason no newspaper would have printed it was because it wasn't true. Because it wasn't true, they would have had no corroboration. Because they would have had no corroboration, they would not have printed the story.

That is the way journalism has been taught, how it has been in practice, and how it should always have remained... prior to the NYT, WaPo, and others just deciding to toss those old rules aside for the sake of being allowed to print garbage that makes them feel good.

The James Comey story is just the tip of the iceberg. I cannot possibly count how many bombshell reports turned out to be either completely false, or just a wild misrepresentation and editorialization of the facts. False reporting is the reason why you believed (and still believe) that Trump and Putin "conspired" to steal an American elections...

And are just soooo much smarter than everyone, as to get away with it without anyone finding a lick of evidence.

The facts are there Denny. You just ignore them. Why? Because whatever the President says... you have to disagree. You have no conscious choice. He owns your psyche. He controls your actions. He controls you!

Perhaps not as bad as he controls Roger's. Roger literally believes "everything" is about Trump. But you have no independent thought process anymore as it pertains to anything that actually involves Trump.

Herein is the issue in a nutshell.

I never brought up whether or not Trump is truthful. Trump has nothing to do with whether or not the NYT or WaPo gets their stories correct or incorrect...

other than we all know that they are willing to print anything "negative" about him, whether or not they have any actual evidence to back it up.

But guess what, Denny... this is not a net sum zero game here. The NYT does not become more honest if you can prove Trump is dishonest any more than Trump becomes more honest if you can prove the NYT is dishonest.

The fact is that they can both be entirely dishonest. The trouble is that while I expect politicians to fudge the truth as a matter of their daily job description... the entire point of being a News Journalist is to accurately report the news (not make shit up as you go).

Interesting.....The Oregon courts basically held that bakers must bake for everyone......Scotus does not take case....wonder where this will end up???? I vote that they must bake for all or pay the price like the 135 k fine here!!!!

After seeing one of the Kleins’ cakes at a wedding exposition, Rachel Bowman-Cryer and her mother, Cheryl, visited Sweet Cakes to order one for Rachel’s upcoming marriage.

When Aaron Klein asked the name of the bride and groom, he was told there would be two brides. Klein said the bakery did not make cakes for same-sex ceremonies because the Kleins believe that a marriage is limited to the union between a man and a woman.

The women left, but Cheryl returned to tell Aaron Klein she once shared his views but believed the Bible was silent on the issue. Aaron Klein quoted a verse from the Book of Leviticus: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”

Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer filed a complaint with a state administrative agency, arguing that the Kleins’ refusal violated Oregon’s anti-discrimination law, which covers sexual orientation.

The agency agreed the Kleins had violated the public accommodation law and awarded the Bowman-Cryers $135,000. A state appeals court upheld that ruling and rejected the bakers’ argument that it violates the First Amendment to compel them to “express a message — a celebration of same-sex marriage — with which they disagree.”

The Oregon Supreme Court declined to review the decision.

The act of kicking it back to the lower court sends its own signal, especially while vacating the fines against the Kleins. The court may have “failed to resolve the central issues” in the Masterpiece Cakeshop opinion, but they made it pretty clear which direction they were leaning. Subsequent decisions in NIFLA and Janus made it even more clear that they want to dismantle state-imposed forced-speech provisions.

After all, vacating the earlier judgment is a rather expressive step in itself:
