DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’ report on possible FISA abuse by the FBI was expected in May or June. It will be delayed further because “reluctant key witnesses” with whom the IG had sought interviews early in the investigation, have now agreed to talk.
Long story short, we may find out that the surveillance that used the Steele dossier to justify the reasoning might have actually began "prior" to the FBI actually ever seeing the dossier. If the testimony is what is expected, it's going to show further evidence that the FBI ignored problems with the dossier because of their desire to use the dossier to retroactively cover their tracks.
We have known all along that there was red flags regarding the accuracy of the dossier and that there were dissenters within the ranks. But this may be the first person willing to testify (and show evidence) as to "why" the red flags (and dissenters) were ignored. Again, it's all hearsay at this point, but it would appear that the dossier was "protected" by FBI brass in order to justify the spying.
If this is the case, then there is little doubt that people should go to jail. It should be a huge scandal that probably goes at least as high as McCabe and Comey, and possibly even up into the Administration itself. Of course, even if it "is" the case, you can depend on the liberal media to cover it up more than actually cover it.
