Percent of people who believe Trump is a "racist" decreased after statements about Omar

New poll shows the “racist” charge in not simply policy, but ingrained in the party.
Tellingly, within this same poll, it is seen that this tactic is not having the intended effect. It is important to note, the poll was conducted on July 15-16, the days following Trump’s tweets and right in the midst of the media firestorm. Despite that emotionally-charged environment the number of people who believed Trump to be racist actually dropped in comparison to a previous poll with similar questioning.
In the poll 47% of respondents believed the President to be racist, which was down 3% from a similar poll held in January. Additionally, more believed the President is not racist (49%) and those believing the use of racism is being done for political gain rose by 6% from that earlier survey. These are the revealing metrics in this poll.
Understand, the respondents were asked about these issues during the Democrat and media effort to establish Trump’s words were deeply racist. Yet while they loudly trying to sell the nation on this notion the result was fewer people believing he is racist, and more people seeing this as a purely political effort to smear him. That is a detail very few in the media are going to be pointing out.

So this comes from the same poll that shows that a third of Democrats believe that anytime a white person criticizes a politician of color it's automatically racism. The problem is that once it gets to the point where "everything" is racism, then quite literally "nothing" is racism.

I have made the argument that whether or not Trump is a racist is already ingrained into nearly every single American, and nothing Trump does moving forward is going to move that needle.

  • If you believe he is a racist, is that really going to change if he simply doesn't tweet or say something you don't like for the next year or so?
  • If you do not believe he is a racist at this point, is anything he states at this point in time going to change your mind?

What IS becoming apparent however, is that it's possible that while Trump himself may not change people's minds, that the reaction from his critics just might. The irony is that the more people criticize him as racist, demand that he is racist, declare that everything he does is racist, the more people tend to simply tune it out and see it as more politics. As this poll implies, it might actually make some people more irritated with the criticism than with the actions of the President.

I am still not 100% convinced that many people are going to change their minds about Trump. The dropping of three percent is more a rounding error, than something to take seriously. But what it does show, is that the number is not getting worse. At least not for Trump.

The major problem for the race baiters is that the excessive criticism will start to wear thin to the point where people will see Trump as "not as bad" as he is made out to be. While this may not be so much as to change people's minds completely, it may be enough to soften their impression about his so-called "racism" to the point where it becomes almost a wash in comparison to the negativity of his accusers. In fact, don't discount the possibility that more and more Americans will look at the "accusers" as being dishonest, biased, and bigoted against the President. Nothing worse than the classic complainer who holds no moral high ground.

If Trump is such a racist, why has he bothered to find jobs for so many minorities?

If you look on the internet, all of the references to Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein are suppressed, and people are trying to elevate some connection between Epstein and President Trump.

I think this is probably the best evidence we have that Al Gore invented the internet…

What I Would Ask Robert Mueller
By James Comey Friday, July 19, 2019

If I were a member of Congress with ONLY FIVE MINUTES to question Robert Mueller, I would ask short questions drawn from the report’s executive summaries.

Volume One: Russia

Did you find that there were a series of contacts between the Trump campaign and individuals with ties to the Russian government? (p. 5)

In particular, did you find that a Trump foreign policy advisor learned that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton in the form of thousands of emails? (pp. 5-6)

Did you find that the Trump foreign policy advisor said the Trump campaign had received indications from the Russian government that it could assist the campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to candidate Clinton? (p. 6)

Did you find that senior members of the Trump campaign met with Russian representatives at Trump Tower after being told in an email that the meeting was part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump? (p. 6)

Did you find that, despite the fact that candidate Trump said he had "nothing to do with Russia," his organization had been pursuing a major Moscow project into the middle of the election year and that candidate Trump was regularly updated on developments? (vol 1, p. 5: vol 2, p. 19)

Did the Trump campaign report any of its Russian contacts to the FBI?

Not even the indications from the Russian government that it could assist the campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to candidate Clinton?
______________

Volume Two: Obstruction

Did you reach a judgment as to whether the president had committed obstruction of justice crimes?

Did you find substantial evidence that the president had committed obstruction of justice crimes?

For example, did you find that the president directed the White House counsel to call the acting attorney general and tell him the special counsel must be removed? (p. 4)

Did you find that the White House counsel decided he would rather resign than carry out that order? (p. 4)

Did you find that the president later directed the White House counsel to say he had not been ordered to have the special counsel removed? (p. 6)

Did you find that the president wanted the White House counsel to write a false memo saying he had not been ordered to have the special counsel removed? (p. 6)

Did you find that the White House counsel refused to do that because it was not true? (p. 6)

Did you find that the president repeatedly asked a private citizen—his former campaign manager—to deliver a message to the attorney general to restrict the special counsel to investigating only future campaign interference? (p. 5)

d Friday on child porn charges. (C-SPAN via AP, File)
By Rachel Weiner July 19 at 4:39 PM
A Trump associate and key witness in former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation of Russian election interference has been indicted on charges of transporting a 14-year-old boy for sexual activity.

George Nader pleaded not guilty in Alexandria federal court on Friday; a trial is set for Sept. 30. Judge Leonie M. Brinkema declined to let him out on bail, citing “the nature of the charges and [his] extensive overseas connections.”

According to three-count indictment, in February 2000 Nader brought a 14-year-old boy from Europe to the United States through Dulles International Airport and brought him to his home in Washington for sexual activity.

In court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Prabhu indicated that a witness in the case from the Czech Republic may testify at trial.

Nader, 60, was arrested last month at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. In initial charges filed against him, authorities alleged he had carried child pornography when he arrived in the country from Dubai in January 2018.

If the president wants Omar to resign from Congress over alleged anti-Semitism, here are six Republican members of the House, including the two most senior members of the GOP leadership, who need to resign first.

Kevin McCarthy

And our ball less wonder can't see the forest through the trees......such an asshole 100% of the time....dumb fuck!!!

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, representative for California’s 23rd Congressional District, has promised to “take action this week” against Omar over her tweets.

This is the same McCarthy who took to Twitter in October 2018 to accuse three Jewish billionaires — George Soros, Tom Steyer, and Michael Bloomberg — of trying to “buy” the midterms. He posted his tweet just a day after Soros received a pipe bomb at his home in New York.

Steyer called the tweet “straight-up anti-Semitic.” McCarthy, though, continues to refuse to apologize for it, saying he did nothing wrong. So why did he delete it? And why isn’t Trump calling on him to resign from Congress too?

Steve Scalise

Earlier this week, Steve Scalise, the House Minority Whip and representative for Louisiana’s 1st Congressional District, demanded that Democratic Party leaders “remove [Omar] from the Foreign Affairs Committee” over her “disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks.”

Yet, in 2002, Scalise, then a Louisiana state representative, attended and spoke at a convention of the white supremacist European American Unity and Rights Organization, a group founded by David Duke. You remember Duke, right? The Holocaust-denying former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan who has been described by the Anti-Defamation League as “perhaps America’s most well-known racist and anti-Semite.”

Scalise later said he “regretted” — but did not technically apologize for — attending the EURO event. When Louisiana-based political reporter Stephanie Grace first met Scalise, he likened himself to Duke. Grace recalled, “He told me he was like David Duke without the baggage.

Louie Gohmert

Rep. Louie Gohmert represents Texas’s 1st Congressional District and is a darling of the tea party.

In December, he appeared on the Fox Business channel to discuss Google, but then decided to pivot and attack — yep, you guessed it — the right’s favorite Jewish billionaire.

“George Soros is supposed to be Jewish, but you wouldn’t know it from the damage he’s inflicted on Israel,” Gohmert said. “And the fact that he turned on fellow Jews and helped take the property that they owned. It’s the same kind of thing.”

This ludicrous and anti-Semitic claim that Soros helped “take the property” of fellow Jews during World War II has been repeatedly and thoroughly debunked. Soros, for the record, was 14 years old at the end of the war.

“Congressman Louie Gohmert for some reason went out of his way to bring up George Soros and made unsubstantiated and false allegations against him,” host Stuart Varney later announced, live on air. “I want to make clear those views are not shared by me, this program, or anyone at Fox Business.” How anti-Semitic and unhinged do you have to be for a Fox host to have to loudly disown you?

And why is Gohmert still a member of Congress?

Matt Gaetz

I’ve referred elsewhere to Rep. Matt Gaetz, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Florida’s 1st Congressional District in 2016, as “the most despicable and shameless member of the United States Congress.”

You want anti-Semitism? Where to begin with Gaetz? He invited the notorious Holocaust denier Chuck Johnson* to be his guest at the State of the Union and later defended Johnson: “He’s not a Holocaust denier; he’s not a white supremacist. Those are unfortunate characterizations of him.”

He has appeared on Alex Jones’s “Infowars” show. Jones has said that “it’s not that Jews are bad, it’s just they are the head of the Jewish mafia in the United States. They run Uber, they run the health care, they’re going to scam you, they’re going to hurt you.”

He suggested the caravan of migrants that set out from Central America in October 2018 was funded by George Soros, who might be “giving cash 2 women & children 2 join the caravan & storm the US border.”

Trump has called Gaetz “one of the finest and most talented people in Congress.” Why hasn’t he called on the Florida representative to resign over anti-Semitism?

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is once again proposing Mexican drug lords be forced to pay for President Trump’s border wall.

Cruz told TMZ in an interview posted Thursday that since drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has been sentenced to life in prison, his $12.6 billion should be used to fund the wall on the southern border.

“I think the next step is to criminally forfeit his entire global criminal enterprise. It’s worth billions, and we should use every penny of that money to build the wall and secure the border. It’s why I introduced legislation, the El Chapo Act, to use that money to build the wall,” Cruz said.

Bingo.

Poor people not allowed in AOC's luxury apartment complex

by Alana Goodman

 | February 19, 2019 02:43 PM

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., recently moved into a luxury apartment complex in Washington, D.C. that does not offer the affordable housing units that were a key plank in the New York congresswoman’s campaign platform.

Ocasio-Cortez, 29, who said in November that she was concerned about being able to afford rent in D.C., now earns a $174,000 annual salary and is living in a newly built high-rise in the city’s Navy Yard area, the Washington Free Beacon reported last week.

The freshman congresswoman, a self-described socialist, campaigned on a platform to expand affordable housing, and her controversial Green New Deal proposal promises “Safe, affordable, adequate housing” for all."

She is a perfect Socialist

She believe we should all live at her level of wealth.
Oh and yes, she is a Victim in this story too.

"Another world is possible. We can live in places, and we can live with either responsible landlords or we can live in buildings that are non-for-profit or tenant owned. There are so many ways that we can slice this. And we can structure it in a way where all people have a right to a dignified home, and it’s not science fiction and it’s not just for the rich. Because what we have been taught and what we have been conditioned is that basic rights are luxury and a privilege when they are not.”

Ocasio-Cortez's defense of her luxury apartment comes after criticism of her luxury living arrangements in D.C's Navy Yard neighborhood.

The apartment complex includes over 100,000 square feet of luxury amenities for residents who are willing to pay thousands a month. The cheapest apartment starts at over $1,800 a month for a studio, with the most expensive at $5,200 for a three-bedroom apartment.

Tenants have access to private massage rooms, state-of-the-art hydrotherapy beds, saunas, a 25-meter indoor lap pool, a full-scale kitchen with wood-fired pizza oven, a rooftop pool with view of the Capitol, a fireside lounge featuring a Steinway & Sons player piano, a Peloton cycling studio, and a PGA-grade golf simulation lounge that allows users to play virtually on the world’s most exclusive golf courses.

After news outlets reported on the congresswoman’s luxury apartment, Ocasio-Cortez responded by blaming journalists for endangering her life.

“Journalists are sharing stories about where I live the same day it’s shared that myself + others were targeted by a mass shooter. All this paired w/ amplifying unvetted conspiracy theories. It’s reckless, irresponsible & puts people directly in danger. This isn’t a game,” she tweeted in February.
