Let's be clear about one thing. There was no conspiracy, and there was never any real reason to believe that there was one.
- James Comey testified under oath that the FBI had not found any evidence of Trump conspiring with the Russians. Yet he admittedly pushed for a Special Counsel to be appointed in spite of no underlying evidence or reason to believe allegations were true.
- The Senate, and House waged three separate investigations and not one of them found any evidence of Trump conspiring with the Russians.
- Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team of over 20 prosecutors spent $35 million over the course of nearly two years, and not only found no "criminal" evidence of a conspiracy, but found no evidence at all of a conspiracy between Trump and the Russians. (page 1 of his report)
- Special Counsel Robert Mueller never even actually established clear proof that it was the Russian GRU group who hacked the DNC servers in the first place. You cannot have a co-conspiracy to commit a crime, when you cannot prove who commited the crime in the first place.
The reality here is that if you still believe that Trump conspired with the Russians, you are quite literally a moron who refuses to accept reality. Likely because you are still too angry about the 2016 election to think straight.
On the flip side, we are about to find out a lot more regarding the investigation itself. The origins of the investigation. Whether the FISA warrants on Trump campaign members were justified. Whether or not there was an effort by members of the FBI to undermine the President with a bogus investigation that they understood to be both legally futile and politically potent.
Now we obviously don't know how this will turn out. But it's extremely unlikely that William Barr (who would have seen preliminary reports from the IG) would have named a second prosecutor to oversee this portion of the investigation, if he didn't believe a prosecutor would be necessary. Most people within the know expect at least some criminal referrals. We actually know that there have already been some referrals that have not been acted on by the first prosecutor who was assigned. Many believe that the second prosecutor was assigned possibly to take up what that first prosecutor ignored.
All that being said. If the IG reports come out and state that everything was done by the book. That the FBI had legitimate reasons to believe that Carter Page was acting as a criminal agent of a foreign power, and that they had legitimate reasons to believe that Trump was conspiring with the Russians, then I guess we will need to accept that. You know, accept it unlike those who are unwilling to accept that five different investigations came up empty regarding Trump and his so called collusion with Russia.
What we can say for certain is this. Even if there is a 1% chance that the IG reports will show that members of the FBI acted in malice against the President in regards to these investigations, then that is a 1% better chance than the chance that Trump conspired with the Russians. Because the percentage of that having happened is exactly 0.

@aaronjmate
Federal judge has issued a significant rebuke of a core Mueller claim. Mueller claims that the IRA -- a Russian troll farm -- was the 2nd of "two principal interference operations" by Russian gov't. But as judge notes, Mueller's implied link between IRA & Russian gov't was false:

This is a major blow not just to Mueller but to the entire "Russian Active Measures" talking point. As the judge acknowledges, the IRA (which, btw, put out juvenile clickbait mostly unrelated to the election) is a private entity & Mueller never establishes a Kremlin connection.
@drawandstrike
So Mueller basically pulled this claim that IRA was a 'Russian Government operation" out of his ass?
Just another fun thing for him to be asked about in 8 days.
