This is how this sort of persuasion works:
- When you call Jeb Bush "low energy" everyone starts to look at him differently. Anytime he seemed under-enthused about something it reinforced the stereotype Trump was attempting to attach.
- "Lying" Ted Cruz? Perfect. Anything Cruz said that is not one hundred percent true reinforced the "lying Ted concept. How does a politician beat that rap?
- Little Marco Rubio? Suddenly his questionable experience is an issue. People are looking at him differently. Next thing you know the guy is on a national stage suggesting that he has a larger than normal penis.
- Crooked Hillary? The woman was under investigation by the FBI right in the middle of the election for Pete's sake. How easy was that to reinforce.
So now we have Trump telling the world that Joe Biden is not playing with a full deck of cards. What does that do? Well anytime Biden slips up with a gaffe, then Trump's suggested perception that he is not all there is reinforced. Forgets a statistic. Losing it. Slurs some words. Not all there. Physically stumples. Too old. Pretty much anything that you might expect from a normal average everyday 76 year old man will be seen as him not playing with a full deck of cards.
So will it work? Of course it will.
Just look at a long time liberal who was close friends with Jesse Jackson, Don King, Al Sharpton, the Clintons, and most every prominent liberal in town. A guy with a mixed religious family, married to an immigrant, who's companies are well known for progressive hiring practices and the promotion of women and minorities to positions of power. A guy who once sued the Palm Beach city counsel in order to build the first Country Club that allowed Jews and minorities to join. That guy (of course) is Donald Trump, and liberals have pursuated approximately half the population that he is a bigot and racist because he decided to run for President as a Republican. They did so completely with smoke and mirrors.
So yeah... of course it will work!

Trump has an instinct to go for the jugular. Biden's problem is that he's trying to out-Trump Trump. It's a losing strategy.

Sometime around lunchtime on Wednesday, Donald Trump’s social media manager posted a message on Twitter.
“The president was treated like a Rock Star inside the hospital, which was all caught on video,” Dan Scavino said of the president’s visit to Dayton’s Miami Valley Hospital, where he met survivors of one of two major mass shootings, and the medics who treated them. “They all loved seeing their great president.”
Scavino’s tweet was met with a curt response. “As a member of today’s White House travelling press pool, we actually have no idea if this is true – because we were not allowed to witness anything,” tweeted Ashley Parker, a White House reporter for the Washington Post. “We were told the president wanted to avoid a ‘photo opp’ – though the White House did put out photos of their own.”
The White House also kept reporters away from the action when he visited the University Medical Centre of El Paso, where – because of a piece of video posted online by somebody present – we know the president bragged about how many people attended a rally he held in the city in February and mocked Democrat Beto O’Rourke. “That was some crowd,” Trump bragged to the medical staff. “And then you had this crazy Beto. Beto had like 400 people in a parking lot.”

Days after the El Paso, Texas, shooting in which 22 people were killed and dozens injured by a gunman who may have been acting out a white supremacist manifesto, President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign launched a new set of Facebook ads directed at the Latino community.
The social media platform’s ad library shows that 20 ads began running on Tuesday, 13 of which were shown in Texas. All were financed by Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.
They include all-caps phrases in Spanish and English stating, “LATINOS FOR TRUMP,” “JOIN THE LATINO COALITION” and “STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP!”
The ads, some of which are images and others of which are videos, show Trump supporters holding campaign signs, cheering him on at rallies and sporting his signature red “Make America Great Again” caps.

Baked Alaska: State Endures Warmest Month on Record

July 2019 was the warmest month on record for the state of Alaska, smashing the previous record by almost one full degree Fahrenheit and leaving numerous local records for hottest day and warmest month in the superheated dust. Records for statewide average temperatures date back to 1925 (with partial data since the late 1880s). Four of the top 10 warmest single months on record (all Julys) has been set in just the past four years. This past June was also the second warmest June on record for the state (following June 2004).

Anchorage made national news on July 4 when its official temperature at the International Airport peaked at 90° for the first time on record, smashing the previous all-time record of 85° measured on June 14, 1969. The early July heat in Anchorage was unlike anything the city has ever experienced in modern records. Daily high temperature records were broken on six consecutive days from Jul 3 through July 8 (including 85° readings on July 7 and 8, which would have been a tie for the all-time record in their own right).
Just beforehand, June saw five daily record highs from June 23-29. So in the 15-day span of June 23-July 8 eleven days broke their daily heat records! July also had 11 daily high minimum records broken.
The month of July was also the warmest single month on record for the city, with an average temperature of 65.3° crushing the previous warmest month record of 62.7° set in July 2016. In addition, the previous month was the warmest June on record for the city, with an average of 60.5° (previous record 59.5° in June 2015). It should also be noted that July was the 17th consecutive month in Anchorage with an above-normal average monthly temperature. Every single day in Anchorage from May 30 to at least August 7 (as of this writing) has been above normal.
