As the frontrunner Joe Biden desperately attempts to join himself at the hip with his former boss "Barack" (as he calls him), the rest of the pack has taken aim at the Obama/Biden legacy. This has not made the former President happy. Nope. Not one bit.
You notice that while Biden keeps pushing his healthcare plan as basically an "add-on" to Obamacare, his competition is attacking Obamacare as an incomplete and unsuccessful attempt to revamp the industry. At this point in time, the majority of the members of both Parties want to repeal and replace Obamacare, with the only difference being what it would be replaced with. It's now seen by a majority as a total failure.
In terms of the border, Biden was specifically asked if he was part of the horrifying decisions of the Obama administration to annually deport "more" people than Trump is currently deporting. (Horrifying in that it allows for an unflattering comparison to the bad orange man and his policies). He has been hit on the fact that child separation took place during his tenure, and it's only a matter of time before his opponents make light of the fact that all of these "concentration camps" along the border were designed, approved, and built on the Obama/Biden watch.
Biden has been mocked by many for suggesting that Russian election interference would have never happened on the Obama/Biden watch. The bigger the problems become for the FBI and intelligence agencies (Horowitz report and other things), the harder it will be from stopping Biden's opponents to drawing attention to the fact that the corruption might have made it's way up to the very top echelons of the Obama/Biden administration. They not only didn't prevent the Russian interference, they might have been involved in some less than legal things on top of it all
If Biden continues to stay right around that 30-35% mark, he remains a target. When his basic claim to fame is that he was Obama's Vice President, then the more likely it is that the Obama/Biden legacy will be attacked. The more that this legacy is attacked, the less popular (I believe) the Party as a whole becomes. Moreover, it could push Obama and others to become less active in the 2020 election (especially if it's Warren or Harris). This could lead to some legitimate problems for the Democrats in 2020.

As National Review’s Ramesh Ponnuru observed in 2017, Obama left office almost as popular as Reagan, but when Reagan departed for California, he left his party stronger than when he found it, holding more elected offices at the federal and state level. And the public felt better about the direction of the country as well. By the time Obama left office, nearly 1,000 Democrats had lost their jobs, and the GOP was better positioned than at any time since the 1920s.
Some analysts plausibly argue that these statistics are unfairly inflated because they’re pegged to the large coattails Obama had in 2008. Even so, it demonstrates that Obama failed by his own standard insofar as transformational presidents expand and entrench their parties the way FDR and Reagan did.
In fairness, Reagan and FDR had an advantage that Obama did not: They were succeeded by allies. Since so much of what presidents do can be reversed by the next president, particularly when done by executive order — as Obama did for most of his presidency — it takes a new, friendly replacement to solidify a presidential legacy. Donald Trump reversed many of Obama’s policies with a stroke of a pen (just as a Democratic successor would do to Trump’s).
Still, it was hard to appreciate the extent of Obama’s incredible shrinking presidency until the recent Democratic presidential debates. Much of the post-debate punditry has focused on the fight between the handful of moderates, led by Obama’s vice president, Joe Biden, and the far more numerous left-wingers, who attacked numerous Obama policies from the left, most notably his signature Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, but also his immigration and economic policies.
Attacks on the Reagan legacy on the right are lamentably increasing among some intellectuals on the right, but we’ve never seen anything remotely like this in a GOP presidential debate. Attacking Reagan is still risky for a Republican politician, and he left office over three decades ago.
The Democrats’ migration to the left is not merely a story of ideological or intellectual transformation, though it is that; it’s also the direct consequence of Obama’s presidency. However we’re supposed to measure the total number of Democratic losses under Obama, the important part isn’t the quantity of the loss, but the quality.
The ranks of moderate and conservative Democrats were disproportionately hollowed out under Obama, while Democrats in deep-blue liberal areas were emboldened to move even further left. (Trump has had a similar effect on the right, decimating the moderate wing of the GOP while intensifying the partisanship of conservatives in safe red areas.)
The big-name Democrats who survived Obama are more concerned by primary challenges to their left than by general-election threats from their right. As a result, they have a hard time talking to audiences that don’t already agree with them on the big questions.
Those ultra-liberal politicians — Warren, Sanders, et al. — now drive the party to such a degree that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is seen as a moderating force on the Democrats. The moderates in the debates are like refugees of a wing of a party that has shrunk to a feather. Only Biden stands as a formidable figure, because of his time at Obama’s side.
And now even that is turning into a liability, at least on the debate stage.

A Georgia woman exhibited symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome last Monday after she drove off a highway road through a barbed wire fence to access and vandalize a Trump 2020 sign.
The incident was caught on George Bentley’s security camera. Bentley, a Cobb County resident, told WSB-TV he took extra care to protect his property (and sign) and couldn’t find a good reason anyone would attempt to destroy his signpost.
“It's a free country, and we love America, and we're happy with the guy that's in there now,” Bentley said. “We want him to be elected again in 2020, and we wanted to give our support for him.”
In the video, the woman can be seen driving her SUV through Bentley’s fence making her way to the site that caused her presumed distress. Her spray painting antics began (and ended) there.
“It really irritates me. I believe people should be able to protest, but not on my property, you know?”
The woman did protest on Bentley’s property, but she had a problem as she tried to leave. Her vehicle had some trouble driving back over the barbed wire fence she initially made it through.
Realizing she couldn’t get her SUV to budge, the Trump-hater left it at the scene of the crime - making it extremely easy for her to be identified.
“If the car hadn’t been here with the tag on it, and we just had video of the person, it would have been really tough,” Bentley said.
The car belonged to 20-year-old Azaria Moore who has been charged with criminal trespass and failure to report a crash. If convicted, Moore may face up to five years in prison, according to WSB-TV.
“We're sorry you don’t like it,” Bentley said in response to the incident that is estimated to cost him thousands of dollars. “Go to your place and do your own display, but leave ours alone.”

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. – Donald Trump’s presidential golf costs have topped $110 million in his 2 1/2 years in office – more than $4 million more than a conservative group’s estimate for predecessor Barack Obama’s total travel costs over two full terms.
Trump arrived at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, Friday evening and is scheduled to remain there through Sunday afternoon. It is his 18th golf trip there since taking office. Sunday will mark his 67th day at that course and his 199th day at a golf course he owns.
The White House on Saturday did not respond to queries about Trump’s golf activities.
Each of the president’s trips to Bedminster costs taxpayers at least $1.1 million in travel and security expenses, according to a HuffPost analysis. Each trip to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida – of which Trump has made 24 – costs taxpayers $3.4 million.
Since taking office, Trump also has visited his golf resorts in Los Angeles; Doral, Florida; Doonbeg, Ireland; and Turnberry, Scotland ― all on the taxpayer dime. He also has made 64 day trips to his course in northern Virginia.
