Hundreds of pages of court documents unsealed Friday in New York federal court allege new details of sexual abuse claims against multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein and several associates.
At the heart of the documents connected to a 2015 defamation case are allegations by a woman, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has claimed that Epstein kept her as a teenage "sex slave" and that he was assisted in his efforts by a British woman, Ghislaine Maxwell.Now unlike the usual barrage of silly unverified allegations (like from unnamed people with no evidence of anything making wild allegations)... these are real documents from real witnesses that would be leading to real criminal charges. Nobody is going to charge anyone with anything because someone "alleges" it to the media.
The documents unsealed Friday were produced as a result of a lawsuit Giuffre filed against Maxwell, nearly two decades after her alleged abuse. They include new allegations by Giuffre that she was instructed by Maxwell to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former US Sen. George Mitchell, among others.
The documents also include an Amazon receipt recovered from the trash at Epstein's Palm Beach mansion for books ordered in his name, including "SM 101: A Realistic Introduction," "SlaveCraft: Roadmaps for Erotic Servitude" and "Training with Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and their Owners."
The documents disclose Giuffre's 2001 medical records from a hospital that she said Epstein and Maxwell took her to during a period of sexual abuse. The records show Giuffre had complained of irregular vaginal bleeding for three weeks; had fainted two days prior, falling and hitting her head; and had lost seven pounds in the past month.Again, these are just some of the reports that authorities were looking into. Of course, authorities had to ask about the President (even though he was no implicated voluntarily). Apparently the lack of allegations against Trump was for good reason.
With regard to President Donald Trump, who socialized with Epstein in the 1990s and once described him as a "terrific guy" before the two, in Trump's recollection, had a falling out 15 years ago, Giuffre distances Trump from Epstein's alleged affairs.
According to a transcript of a video deposition Giuffre gave in 2016, she disputed aspects of a 2011 story in the Daily Mail that was based on a series of interviews Giuffre had given to one of the reporters, Sharon Churcher.
The story quotes Giuffre as saying: "Donald Trump was also a good friend of Jeffrey's. He didn't partake in sex with any of us but he flirted with me. He'd laugh and tell Jeffrey, 'You've got the life.'"
In the deposition, Giuffre says "it's true that he didn't partake in any sex with us, (but) it's not true that he flirted with me. Donald Trump never flirted with me." She also says her only basis for stating that Trump was a "good friend" was Epstein's own description of his relationship with Trump.
Asked whether she ever saw the two men together, Giuffre replies, "No, not that I can actually remember." She also says she can't recall ever having seen Trump at Epstein's homes in the US Virgin Islands, New Mexico or New York.So in essence, the witness never even saw Trump and Epstein together, apparently never actually had any correspondence with him (flirtatious or not), and only knew that they were friends based on what Epstein told here.
So whatever some people may want to "believe" Trump might have done, he was not apparently on the hook for any of what Epstein was being investigated or charged with. By all accounts, the other players were all prominent Democrats (like Richardson) or prominent liberals (like Dershowitz).
There is no logical reason to believe that Trump (or anyone associated with him) would have anything to gain from Epstein's death. In fact, Trump and Republicans in general probably would have had a field day with an ongoing trial that continued to place prominent Democrats into the heart of the matter.

A federal lawsuit filed in California in April 2016, against Epstein and Donald Trump by a California woman alleged that the two men sexually assaulted her at a series of parties at Epstein's Manhattan residence in 1994, when she was 13 years old. The suit was dismissed by a federal judge in May 2016 because it did not raise valid claims under federal law. The woman filed another federal suit in New York in June 2016, but it was withdrawn three months later, apparently without being served on the defendants. A third federal suit was filed in New York in September 2016. The two latter suits included affidavits by an anonymous witness who attested to the accusations in the suits, asserting Epstein employed her to procure underage girls for him, and an anonymous person who declared the plaintiff had told him/her about the assaults at the time they occurred. The plaintiff, who had filed anonymously as Jane Doe, was scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles press conference six days before the 2016 election, but abruptly canceled the event; her lawyer Lisa Bloom asserted that the woman had received threats.
