Trying to run out the clock?

U.S. Intel Gatekeeper Dragging Feet on Trump-Russia Files, Insiders Say
More than three months after President Trump granted his attorney general unprecedented power to declassify intelligence files, key U.S. intelligence agencies are still withholding documents related to the Trump-Russia affair, say people with direct knowledge of White House discussions on the subject.
The source of the logjam: the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which Trump is in the process of shaking up after the resignations last month of its director, Dan Coats, and principal deputy, Sue Gordon. “Establishment” officials in that agency are still dragging their feet, say the sources, who spoke on condition that they not be further identified.

So it most certainly appears that despite declassification and requests from the Department of Justice and the President himself, that certain member of the intelligence community are not following through with these requests. According to those in the know, the hope is that they can stall this beyond the 2020 election, hope that Trump is defeated, and that the demand for these documents disappears.

This is precisely why Dan Coats was fired. Coats apparently was more interested in following his subordinates than following his superiors. Obviously Trump found someone he believes will actually follow the orders provided by the Administration on this. Like it or not, the intelligence community is NOT an independent portion of the Federal Government. They answer to and work for the President.

Are there "good" reasons why these agencies are stonewalling this information? Certainly the President and the Attorney General have the classification levels to see EVERYTHING at all levels, including any and all methods and other nonsense that these agencies like to believe are theirs and theirs alone. So I would say there is no "good" reason to be holding this stuff back.

The logical reason is that there really is something to hide, and these agencies are in a total cover their own asses mode, and simply do not want to turn over information that will likely prove to be embarrassing, problematic, outside normal rules and procedures, or even flirting with illegal.

More bad news for Moscow Mitch....Ga now GOP has to defend 2 seats in Ga.....giving another path for a D takeover of the senate with Me, Co, Az also in play!!!!!!

n. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) confirmed Wednesday he plans to resign his seat at the end of December.

The 74-year-old said “mounting health challenges” stemming from Parkinson’s disease informed his decision, adding he also had surgery this week to remove a growth on his kidney. In July, Isakson fractured four ribs and tore his rotator cuff after he fell in his D.C. apartment.

“In my 40 years in elected office, I have always put my constituents and my state of Georgia first,” he said in a statement. “With the mounting health challenges I am facing, I have concluded that I will not be able to do the job over the long term in the manner the citizens of Georgia deserve.

“It goes against every fiber of my being to leave in the middle of my Senate term, but I know it’s the right thing to do on behalf of my state.”

The senator’s term ends in 2022. Per the National Conference of State Legislators, Georgia fills U.S. Senate vacancies via appointment by the governor, with the appointee serving until the next regularly scheduled statewide general election. Georgia Sen. David Perdue (R) is up for reelection in 2020, meaning Isakson’s seat will also be up for grabs next year.

“With now two Senate seats up for election in 2020, it has never been clearer that the path for Democratic victory runs through Georgia,” the Democratic Party of Georgia said in a statement. “We are the battleground state, and Georgia Democrats are ready to fight and deliver both the Senate and the presidency for Democrats across the country in 2020.”

"Federal campaign finance records show that Omar’s campaign has paid nearly $230,000 since 2018 to the E. Street Group, a political strategy firm of which the lawmaker’s alleged married lover, Tim Mynett, is a partner of. On Tuesday, Mynett’s wife, Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett, filed for divorce in a D.C.-area court, alleging her spouse confessed to having an affair with Omar in April, the same month FEC documents show that the lawmaker’s campaign began issuing payments to E. Street Group for “travel expenses.” According to FEC filings, the Minnesota Democrat campaign made eight payments totaling $21,547 to E. Street Group for travel costs between April and June. The divorce filings, first reported by the New York Post, also states Tim Mynett made a “shocking declaration of love” for the Minnesota Democrat to his wife and left her soon after."

Release Date: Aug. 28, 2019
Introduction
Our latest update to the USCIS Policy Manual defines “residence” as it relates to citizenship for children of certain U.S. government employees and members of the U.S. armed forces who are employed or stationed outside the United States, to conform with the definition of residence in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). This guidance rescinds previously established USCIS policy, which stated that certain children who were living outside the United States were considered “residing in” the United States.

As a result, it changes the process that parents of such children must follow to obtain a Certificate of Citizenship for their children. Under the previous policy, parents of those children could file either Form N-600, Application for Certificate of Citizenship, or Form N-600K, Application for Citizenship and Issuance of Certificate Under Section 322, on behalf of their children. As of Oct. 29, 2019, these parents must file Form N-600K to obtain U.S. citizenship for any child who did not acquire citizenship at birth or while residing in the United States. Therefore, we will apply current guidance to all applications filed before Oct. 29, 2019.

Policy Update at a Glance
The updates to the USCIS Policy Manual, Volume 12, Citizenship and Naturalization, and Part H, Children of U.S. Citizens:

Clarify that temporary visits to the U.S. do not establish U.S. residence;
Explain the distinction between residence and physical presence in the United States; and
Explain that USCIS no longer considers children who are living abroad with a parent who is a U.S. government employee or U.S. service member as “residing in the United States” for purposes of acquiring citizenship under INA 320.
How Children Acquire Citizenship
U.S. laws allow children to acquire U.S. citizenship other than through birth in the United States. Children who were born outside of the United States to a U.S. citizen parent or parents may acquire U.S. citizenship at birth under INA 301 or 309. Children may also acquire citizenship after birth, but before the age of 18, through their U.S. citizen parent(s) under INA 320.

Policy Update Regarding Children of U.S. Government Employees or Service Members Employed or Stationed Abroad Who Were Born Outside the United States
Who This Policy Update Affects
This policy may affect children residing outside the United States who were born outside the United States to:

Non-U.S. citizen parents and adopted by a U.S. citizen U.S. government employee or U.S. service member after their birth;
Non-U.S. citizen parents, such as a lawful permanent resident U.S. government employee or U.S. service member who naturalized only after the child’s birth; or
Two U.S. citizen government employee or U.S. service member parents who do not meet the residence or physical presence requirements to transmit citizenship to their child at birth (or one non-U.S. citizen parent and one U.S. citizen parent who does not meet these requirements).
For more information on this policy update contact uscispolicymanual@uscis.dhs.gov. For case-specific inquiries, call the USCIS Contact Center.

The poll shows him trailing all five Democrats tested by between nine and 16 points. He trails
Joe Biden 54 to 38,
Bernie Sanders 53 to 39,
Elizabeth Warren 52 to 40,
Kamala D. Harris 51 to 40

"As a capitalist, I am all in favor of people making as much money as they want and spending it how they please,” Roth wrote. “However, this lavish new abode is quite a statement in hypocrisy from the former president, who spent his presidency demonizing everyone else’s success.”

She said the Obamas’ spending is aligned with the “hypocrisy and envy” that have become a trademark of the Democratic Party.

“Their definition of ‘too rich’ seems to be one dollar more than whatever they happen to be worth at a given point in time,” Roth wrote, pointing her finger directly at Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

“Too many in Democratic leadership peddle the politics of envy and victimhood to grab power, wealth and success for themselves,” she said.

ah yes, the alky and his never-ending lies of omission -

“This kind of memo is the sort of thing that you don’t put out to the general public without a very bold-faced letter executive summary saying ‘Here’s what this does not do,’” said Bradley Moss, a lawyer with expertise in national security.

“This changes nothing if you are a child born overseas to two U.S. citizens on a military base or just overseas in general – you are fine as a matter of law … you are still considered a U.S. citizen so long as one of your parents had been a physical resident within the United States," he added.

Moss said that the pool of individuals who would be affected would likely be small.

The thrust of the memo, Moss surmised, is to prevent individuals who are either adopting a child born overseas to non-U.S. citizen parents or people who have little connection to the United States from “shoehorn[ing] their way into citizenship.”

Acting director of USCIS Ken Cuccinelli wrote on Twitter Wednesday evening that people were “freaking out over nothing,” describing the document as a “highly technical policy memo” used by career employees at the agency.

“This policy update does not affect who is born a U.S. citizen, period. This only affects children who were born outside the United States and were not U.S. citizens. This does NOT impact birthright citizenship," he said in a statement later released by USCIS.

"This policy update does not deny citizenship to the children of US government employees or members of the military born abroad. This policy aligns USCIS’ process with the Department of State’s procedure, that’s it.”

The new guidance will not apply to children who acquire citizenship at birth or while residing in the United States, the USCIS notice states. That includes children born abroad to U.S. citizens who have resided in the United States at some point in the past five years.

A Pentagon spokeswoman said in a statement to The Hill that the estimated impact of the change is "small" but that the Defense Department is working to provide further clarity for military families.

"DoD has been working closely with our colleagues as DHS/USCIS regarding recent policy changes and understands the estimated impact of this particular change is small. However, we are committed to ensuring affected families are provided the appropriate information, resources, and support during this transition," Pentagon spokeswoman Lt. Col. Carla Gleason said.

"Further information is available at the USCIS Military Resource Page, Military One Source, and via Service Legal Assistance branches as needed."

another alky lie of omission -

Who This Policy Update Does Not Affect

This policy does not affect children born outside the United States who were citizens at birth or who have already acquired citizenship, including children who:

Were born to two U.S. citizen parents, at least one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions before the child’s birth;

Were born to married parents, one of whom is a U.S. citizen and one a foreign national, if the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. or one of its outlying possessions for at least five years, at least two of which were after they turned 14 years old;

Were born to unmarried parents, one of whom is a U.S. citizen and one a foreign national, if the U.S. citizen parent meets the requirements listed in INA 309;

Are otherwise eligible to receive a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) or a Certificate of Citizenship documenting U.S. citizenship acquired at birth; or

Are residing in the United States in the legal and physical custody of their U.S. citizen parent after being lawfully admitted to the U.S. for permanent residence.

For more information, see Policy Manual, Volume 12, Part H, Children of U.S. Citizens, Chapter 3, United States Citizens at Birth (INA 301 and 309), or email uscispolicymanual@uscis.dhs.gov.

Reason for the Policy Update

We are updating this policy because it conflicts with the definition of “residence” in the INA and also with INA 322(d), which was enacted in 2008 after this policy was instituted, and refers to children who are residing abroad with members of the armed forces of the United States as “residing outside of the United States.” In addition, the previous guidance conflicts with Department of State guidance. Having conflicting policies can lead to inconsistent decisions on citizenship claims by USCIS and the Department of State and can cause confusion as to the date children of U.S. service members and government employees stationed abroad become U.S. citizens.

[...]

Important Facts to Know

Military bases outside of the United States are not considered “in the United States” in relation to birthright citizenship. Therefore, the only way children born abroad can acquire citizenship at birth is through their parents.

If you were a U.S. citizen when you gave birth to your child while outside the United States on military orders, your child is most likely a U.S. citizen. As long as you met certain physical presence or residence requirements before your child’s birth, this policy update does not affect you, and you can apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) for your child at a U.S. Consulate and/or a Certificate of Citizenship from USCIS using Form N-600.

Military members stationed outside the United States who file a Form N-600K on behalf of their child will not need to travel to the United States to get a Certificate of Citizenship for their child.

Stepchildren cannot acquire U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen stepparent. A stepchild is ineligible for citizenship or naturalization through the U.S. citizen stepparent, unless the stepchild is adopted and the adoption meets certain requirements (See Policy Manual Chapter 2, Definition of Child for Citizenship and Naturalization, Section C, Adopted Child).

EXCLUSIVE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has barred Democratic staffers from the House Oversight Committee from visiting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities at the U.S.-Mexico border as part of a planned trip this week after committee staff allegedly were “disruptive” and refused to follow instructions during their last trip, Fox News has learned.

Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, D-Md., had sent his staff to visit border facilities for “oversight inspections” last week and planned to send staff again to view Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and CBP centers.

But sources told Fox News that DHS has revoked access to CBP facilities for the upcoming visit, citing staff behavior that “interfered” with law enforcement operations -- including refusing to leave one site after their scheduled window, skipping some tours and being "rude" to officers. A DHS official said that ICE visits will still be allowed this week, but with a two-hour time limit. One of those visits took place on Tuesday.

Why bother fact checking Roger and his propaganda? Facts are ignored by Roger as he chases the spin like a cat chases around a laser pointer.

I didn't even have to research to know that the idea that Trump would suggest that Americans born overseas to American citizens are not citizens was a flat out lie.

The reality is that he is part of a growing number of Americans who want to see our immigration system change from one of chain migration and anchor babies (which rewards Mexican and Central Americans who get here by any means possible) and have it changed to what it is more designed to be... a merit based immigration system that is fair to everyone who is not a U.S. Citizen.

This isn't rocket science. It's just that liberals don't want to argue the truth.
