(CNSNews.com) - The number of people employed in the United States hit a record 157,288,000 in July, according to the employment report released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.That was up 283,000 from the 157,005,000 employed in June. The unemployment rate held steady in July at 3.7 percent, the same as it was in June.
Payrolls rose 164,000, almost matching projections, though the two prior months were revised lower, according to a Labor Department report Friday. The jobless rate held at 3.7%, near a half-century low, while average hourly earnings climbed 3.2% from a year earlier, better than forecast.
There was a time when it was suggested that 150K jobs a month was sufficient to keep up with the increase in the workforce. As more and more people retire, and less and less people join the job force, the reality is that 150K is probably gravy.
This month, we added 164K jobs, and many on the left are trying to pretend that this is some sort of problem. The only problem appears to be that the economy is the most likely reason that Donald Trump would be re elected.

Cabinet members and White House staffers are privately concerned about President Trump’s racially divisive tweets but are afraid to confront him, said Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, in an interview for the Yahoo News “Skullduggery” podcast.
Scaramucci said Trump needed to hear those points of view.
“If the president is now surrounded by people that are not going to tell him the truth, and they’re gonna confirm his biases, which may not be correct, that’s a recipe for disaster,” Scaramucci said. He called Republicans who won’t speak out against Trump’s tweets “fraidy cats.”
