The Ukrainians say their efforts to get their allegations to U.S. authorities were thwarted first by the U.S. embassy in Kiev, which failed to issue timely visas allowing them to visit America.
Then the Ukrainians hired a former U.S. attorney — not Giuliani — to hand-deliver the evidence of wrongdoing to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York, but the federal prosecutors never responded.
The allegations that Ukrainian officials wanted to pass on involved both efforts by the Democratic National Committee to pressure Ukraine to meddle in the 2016 U.S. election as well as Joe Biden’s son’s effort to make money in Ukraine while the former vice president managed U.S.-Ukraine relations, the U.S. attorney told me.

Apparently Ukrainian officials have been reaching out to the United States attempting to pass on information regarding possible criminal actions by the DEMOCRATS in regards to election meddling and possible illegal influences by Joe Biden regarding his son's Ukrainian businesses.
This information was apparently ignored by the Southern District of New York (of course) and the Ukrainian government continued to look for other people who might actually take it seriously. So it would appear that Giuliani did not do anything inappropriate here (much less illegal) and that it would also appear that it's the Ukrainians (not the Trump administration) who has been pushing for an investigation.

Moreover it is now being reported that the so-called "whistle blower" was not actually a personal witness to anything and did not personally listen to the conversation. This was someone who reported a "rumor" to an Inspector General who (some say) agreed to investigate the issue. The questions as to why an IG might take something serious while the person in question was not deemed an appropriate "whistle blower" was questioned by many media sources and Democratic politicians. The implication (of course) was that the Justice Department was trying to squelch a story that might harm the President.
But all of this makes sense if the person reporting the so called event did not have first hand knowledge of it. You could make a credible allegation (that might warrant a follow up investigation by an IG) without actually having personal proof (which would make you a legitimate whistle blower). A rumor does not make for a legitimate whistle blowing incident, no matter how much you believe it might be true.
So we are right back to where we started the week... with a media quick to make stupid judgement calls on stories that have nearly no credible vetting and in many cases get pertinent facts incorrect. By the time Monday roles around, people will likely just remember the major headlines (and will not know the rest of the story that will get buried if even reported at all). Many will continue to believe the story that the President did something wrong, possibly illegal, and potentially impeachable. When in fact, there is actually no proof at this time that anyone within the Trump administration did anything wrong.

So when Reyes helped secure $331.5 million for the base from the Pentagon’s treasured construction budget, officials thought Maria’s clouds had come with a silver lining.
The money would not only rebuild Camp Santiago. Now, for the first time, an island that regularly sends its men and women to war for the United States would get a modern, hurricane-proof training ground for its guard.

Early this month, the Pentagon announced that 127 military construction projects approved by Congress would be defunded under emergency authorities to free up $3.6 billion for President Trump’s border barrier on the southern border with Mexico. Among the shelved construction projects: plans to rebuild Camp Santiago.
For Reyes, the adjutant general of the Puerto Rico National Guard, the news was a crushing disappointment. He said the National Guard leadership in Washington assured him that Congress would take up the projects again. Reyes is hopeful but uncertain.

Democrats and the mainstream media have a strong interest in preventing this information from seeing the light of day because it likely involves corruption by pro-Hillary officials and staffers inside the Embassy in Kiev prior to the 2016 election. This activity has been chronicled in Dan Bongino’s book, “Spygate.” It may even include information about the origin and authenticity/inauthenticity of the infamous “black ledger” which “randomly” turned up in August 2016 and forced Paul Manafort to resign from his position as manager of the Trump campaign and marked the beginning of his legal problems.

No, this person has followed the law exactly as required. The Director of Intelligence, appointed by Trump received the report from the whistleblower. The law requires that the report is given to the house intelligence committee.
But the Department of Justice, and Barr have been trying to withhold the report.
I have always been wary of impeachment, but I don't think that the Congress must impeach the President. Even though the Senate will never convict the President.
