The new claim of sexual misconduct by Bret Kavanaugh at Yale many decades ago comes from a book by Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly. Pogrebin and Kelly also wrote the New York Times story presenting this claim.
In their book, Pogrebin and Kelly acknowledge that the alleged victim of the alleged misconduct has no recollection of it. In their original Times article, the two omitted this fact.
If liberals want to question why there are so many cries about "fake news" they need not look any further than this story:
- Ten years ago the Times would not still be investigating Kavanaugh
- Ten years ago the Times would not have printed any story where the allegations were not corroborated even by the alleged victim
- This is hearsay of hearsay, with literally no actual evidence
- Important facts were omitted (which is lying by omission)
- The story looks to double down on previous shoddy reporting of allegations that had no evidence
99 percent of people who actually know Kavanaugh have praised the man for his integrity, honestly, and how he has presented himself throughout his life. For literally NO OTHER REASON than partisanship the liberal media has run a non-stop smear campaign against Kavanaugh without any evidence what-so-ever. This is why there no trust in the media anymore.

Documents Reveal State Department Efforts to Undermine Trump
We have made public 90 pages of heavily redacted U.S. Department of State documents showing Obama State Department officials’ efforts to disseminate classified information to multiple U.S. Senators immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The information, which included raw intelligence, purported to show “malign” Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Among the senators receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN).
We obtained the documents through our June 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department after it failed to respond to a February 2018 request seeking records of the Obama State Department’s last-minute efforts to share classified information about Russia election interference issues with Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:18-cv-01381)).
A January 13, 2017, email from Hera Abbasi, a former congressional advisor in the State Department’s Bureau of Legislative Affairs, suggests that the intelligence community was providing “raw intel” to Sen. Warner. Such an exchange almost certainly would have been coordinated by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI): “Yes, that is correct. Warner/raw intel stuff is going thru IC channels.” (Abbasi previously worked in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and was a 2017 Next Generation National Security Fellow at the liberal Center for a New American Security. Abbasi donated $725 to the Clinton campaign and Act Blue during the 2016 election cycle.)
The documents we uncovered show early in the process of gathering and clearing classified information – beginning a day after Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) formally asked Secretary of State John Kerry for “intelligence products” and “raw intelligence” on Russian involvement in the 2016 election – Assistant Secretary of State Julia Frifield brings Senior Advisor and Investigations Counsel Zachary Schram into the loop in a January 5, 2017, email chain, in which she says Schram would help “figure out the best way to get these to the Hill.” Frifield was an Obama appointee who previously served as Maryland Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski’s Chief of Staff. (Frifield contributed $2,700 to the 2016 Clinton campaign.)

2. Despite 7 attempts by staff, Ms. Ramirez' lawyers declined to provide documentary evidence referenced in the article/witness accounts to support the claims. They also declined invitations for Ms. Ramirez to speak with committee investigators or to provide a written statement.
3. Nonetheless, our investigators spoke to and reviewed material from several Yale classmates of Ms. Ramirez and Justice Kavanaugh in order to assess the claim. You can read the committee’s 414-page investigative summary here:

Max Stier? The Clinton lawyer now pops up as a witness of a supposed incident from 35 years ago while he was at a party drinking ??? Who the hell even remembers anything with any credibility that far back ?
Real credible.
Amazing how few democrats appear to be involved in so many things. Must not be many of them to have to rely on so few to get involved with so much. Almost like they have an agenda.
See Russian collusion hoax, and attempted coup against Trump, and Hillary emails and Benghazi etc. So many multiple players... Kind of like wondering about all the Clinton "suicides" now including Epstein. Guess there may not be a fire but you sure could die from smoke inhalation.
Hopefully the IG report will start getting to the bottom of some of this.
Who the hell even remembers anything with any credibility that far back ?
no one. absolutely fucking no one.
that's what makes this so absurd, with only the biggest partisan hacks on this blog like the alky peddling the bullshit. which in and of itself is ironic since up until just a few years ago the alky was a daily blackout drunk.
and some would say that he's back on the sauce. come to think of it, that's probably why mail order fled and got a restraining order against his ass. he's a violent drunk who has fallen off the wagon HARD.
so using the NY Times standard for truth in reporting i think it's safe to say that the alky is -
1) back on the gin and juice
2) under a restraining order filed by his ex because of it.
3) a threat to himself and others
and
4) not of sound mind and body
“A tweet that went out from the @NYTOpinion account yesterday was clearly inappropriate and offensive,” the Times said. “We apologize for it and are reviewing the decision-making with those involved.”
According to a Times insider familiar with the matter, Pogrebin wrote the offensive tweet, which should have been vetted before it was posted.
“It was really neglectful,” the insider said of the paper’s overall handling. “There were serious errors made along the way.”

Politico is not amused by the New York Times story.
New York Times’ bungled handling of revelations from a book on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh managed to draw fire from both conservatives who long defended the Supreme Court justice and feminists who fought against his confirmation, both of whom expressed consternation over the paper’s decisions.
The Times revealed a fresh allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh while a student at Yale University in a Sunday Review piece by reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, who are co-authors of the new book, rather than through a traditional news story. In addition, the authors omitted a key piece of information — the fact that the alleged victim of the incident didn’t remember it — and the Times promoted the piece with a shockingly tone-deaf tweet.
All three missteps prompted condemnation across political boundaries on Monday, while the fallout from the piece in the Times’s Sunday Review has overshadowed the release Tuesday over the hotly anticipated book, “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation.”
President Donald Trump seized Monday on an editor’s note attached to a piece Pogrebin and Kelly’s to claim it’s actually Kavanaugh “being assaulted” by “lies and “Fake News!” Republican Senator Ted Cruz tweeted that “it’s almost as if the reporters, editors, publishers have a political agenda.”
Meanwhile, New York magazine’s Rebecca Traister, a leading voice on women’s issues, wrote that it was “flabbergasting” how the Times mishandled the new Kavanaugh reporting. “I’m sure someone at the Times still thinks that by some both-sides bullshit-objectivity meter it’s a victory to make both conservatives and feminists livid,” she tweeted. “It’s actually coming across as truly bizarre ineptitude.”
I'm not going to say about the racist rodent's bullshit.

Someone who used to pay attention to Thecoldheartedtruth said something I find interesting. Sean Trende
Kamala Harris: Buy. This may seem counterintuitive given her precipitous drop in the polls, but Harris is probably undervalued. She’s the most natural political athlete of the bunch, and the Democratic electorate has already showed a willingness to consider her. A good debate and a Biden collapse might be enough to give her a second bounce. In any event, she seems undervalued for now.
-----
I'm not counting her out yet.
She could be the next Obama, a centrist Democrat who is a former prosecutor, who would demolish Trump in a debate.

My biggest problem with the Kavanaugh investigation into his drunken penis exposure behavior was not investigated sufficiently by the FBI.
Harris is no centrist. Tulsi is a centrist.
My biggest problem with the Kavanaugh investigation into his drunken penis exposure behavior was not investigated sufficiently by the FBI
When there nothing to investigate what do you expect them to do? One women was in such a drunken state she's not even sure it was a penis. The other said it never happen.
So tell me, what would have been sufficient? 21 renditions of "I know a guy"?
Deborah Ramirez, a Yale classmate, also claimed to have been assaulted by Kavanaugh in college.
The New York Times reported that the “investigation” by Republicans in the Senate committee and FBI conducted into the allegations against Kavanaugh was a farce. Ms. Ramirez gave investigators the names of 25 people who could back her story up. They never called them.
Democratic leaders are making the decision not to pursue the impeachment of Kavanaugh because it would distract from the possible impeachment investigations of Trump.
Meanwhile, where is THIS going to go?
Intelligence Chief Told to Turn Over Complaint
“Acting director of national intelligence Joseph Maguire has until Tuesday to turn over a whistleblower complaint regarding a ‘serious or flagrant’ abuse involving an intelligence activity and possibly the White House,” the Washington Post reports.
“If he fails to do so, he will be ordered by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-CA) to explain publicly on Thursday his reasons for refusing.”
And where is THIS going to go?
Bolton Already Contacting Literary Agents
“Following his acrimonious departure from the White House, former National Security Adviser John Bolton has insisted that he will have his ‘say in due course,'” the Daily Beast reports.
“It hasn’t yet been a full week, but it appears he’s found a vehicle for clearing the air. According to two people with knowledge of the situation, Bolton has already expressed interest in writing a book on his time in the Trump administration, and has been in contact in recent days with literary agents interested in making that happen.”
Said one source: “He has a lot to dish.”
8 Years of Trump Tax Returns Subpoenaed
“State prosecutors in Manhattan have subpoenaed President Trump’s accounting firm to demand eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns,” the New York Times reports.
“The subpoena opens a new front in a wide-ranging effort to obtain copies of the president’s tax returns, which Mr. Trump initially said he would make public during the 2016 campaign but has since refused to disclose.”

American intelligence indicates that the attack on a major Saudi oil facility originated from Iran, three people familiar with the intelligence told NBC News — an assessment that is likely to escalate tensions between Washington and Tehran.
A congressional source says Democrats familiar with the details do not dispute that the attack was carried out by Iran — an important signal of bipartisan agreement amid great uncertainty about claims made by the Trump administration.
“This attack had a level of sophistication we have not seen before,” the congressional source said. “You will not see Democrats pushing back on the idea that Iran was behind it.”
Three U.S. officials said there was extremely compelling evidence showing the origination point of the strikes, and one official with direct knowledge described that evidence as imagery.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted Saturday that Iran “launched” what he called “an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply.”
Iran’s goal “is to cause short sharp spike in the commodity markets so the world will cause the Trump admin to change its policies,” one former senior intelligence official told NBC News.
A Saudi military spokesman says initial investigations show Iranian weapons were used in the attack.
Col. Turki al-Malki also told reporters in Riyadh Monday that the early morning strikes on Saturday were not launched from Yemen, despite claims from the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels who are at war there with Saudi Arabia. Al-Maliki did not elaborate.
The attacks on Aramco's main crude processing facility knocked out 5.7 million barrels of daily oil production for Saudi Arabia, or more than 5 percent of the world's daily crude production, analysts said.
President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday that the U.S. is “locked and loaded” and ready to respond, once it determines the culprit.

The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Squatters are the Face and voice of the Socialist Democrat Party.
mizzzz Presley is formally filing in the US House Impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh .
New Kavanaugh book says seven people back up Deborah Ramirez allegation. Who are they?
That is the seven. Number 1, Ramirez's mother, based her account on four very unspecific words from her daughter 35 years ago. Number 2, Appold, based his account on a memory of being told something by a "witness" who could not recall the incident at all. Number 3, Wetstone, heard it from Appold. Number 4, Oh, overheard something from someone he doesn't remember that did not connect the incident to Kavanaugh. Number 5, Anonymous, is totally unclear. And Number 6 and Number 7, Ludington and Roche, had "vague" memories that also did not connect an unspecified incident to Kavanaugh.
That is enough for Pogrebin and Kelly, who conclude, "The claims of Deborah Ramirez, while not proven by witnesses, also ring true." Perhaps that will convince some readers. For others: When anti-Kavanaugh partisans cite "substantial corroboration" for Ramirez's allegation, it's good to keep in mind who really said what.
"U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley will introduce a resolution Tuesday calling for an impeachment inquiry to begin against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, after a news report over the weekend contained a previously unreported claim of sexual misconduct against him.

That restraing order is for "protection from.abuse", I love the California open automated record system.
As I have been posting....looks like 2019 has great potential to be another record year, the goat fucker will yawn and ignore the facts as usual....
August 2019 was the planet's second warmest August since record keeping began in 1880, said NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) and NASA on Monday. Only August 2016 was warmer, according to both agencies. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has not yet released its monthly report. NOAA rated August as tied with 2015 and 2017 for second warmest August. Minor differences in rankings between NASA, NOAA, and JMA can arise because of how they handle data-sparse regions such as the Arctic, where few surface weather stations exist.
Global ocean temperatures during August 2019 were the warmest on record, according to NOAA, and global land temperatures were the fourth warmest on record. Global satellite-measured temperatures in August 2019 for the lowest 8 km of the atmosphere were the fourth warmest in the 41-year record, according to the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH).
For all months since 1880, NOAA ranked August 2019 as having the sixth largest departure from average on the warm side. Because most of the planet's land area is the Northern Hemisphere, northern-summer months tend to be warmer globally than northern-winter months.
Departure of temperature from average for August 2019, the second warmest August for the globe since record keeping began in 1880
The January through August year-to-date period was the third warmest on record globally, behind 2016 and just behind 2017, according to NOAA. According to their global annual temperature ranking outlook, it is virtually certain that 2019 will end among the top five warmest years in Earth’s history. This means that the six warmest years on record globally since 1880 will be the last six years—2014 through 2019—with the peak occurring during the strong El Niño year of 2016.
This near-record global warmth in 2019 is all the more remarkable since it is occurring during the minimum of the weakest solar cycle in 100+ years, and during a year when a strong El Niño has not been present (though a weak El Niño was present in the first half of 2019, ending in July). Record-warm global temperatures typically occur during strong El Niño events, and when the solar cycle is near its maximum. The near-record warmth of 2019 is thus a testament to how greatly human-caused global warming is impacting the planet.

Of course if they just use FAKE NEWS as a source it is just a reinforcement and they don't notice...
"they" being the audience...
This is brutal.
Trump is slaughtering Biden before he even gets on the battlefield.
The FBI didn't investigate the alleged exposure of his penis to girls who were at the drunken party.
Nor should they. There is literally no evidence of the events, any crime associated with it is well past any statute of limitations, and it's not a Federal Crime that would fall under FBI jurisdiction.
The FBI is no longer doing "background checks" on Kavanaugh.
You literally have no explanation as to why the FBI would look at this.
So yeah, Roger... it's fake fucking news!
Did the Face and voice of the Democrats get here vote in the US House to Impeach US Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh?
The Squatters are so much fun.
CS, Brutal does not begin to explain Creepy Joe. he still leads with Democrats.
You literally have no explanation as to why the FBI would look at this.
the drunken sot can't even recall a rock concert he supposedly attended.
Roger kind of ghosted away when it became painfully obvious the Times story blew up in their faces.
There was a reason the news side of the paper didn't want it.
