One little out of context comment and Ch starts dancing about the loss of CNN.
So if neither of the two witnesses yesterday had direct contact with the President when he said what they heard he said, why is the White House trying to keep those who DID have direct contact with the President and can tell us directly what they heard him say -- from testifying?
Such testimony will surely vindicate the President, so let them testify. Otherwise, someone must have something to hide.
Sondland can testify to direct contact. So can Bolton. So can numerous others.
Funny observation Lil Scotty.....the people who have had direct contact have been forbidden to testify by TRUMP!!!! Gee, another obstruction charge???? Why is he hiding these people like Bolton a confirmed conservative who called it a drug deal....WHAT IS HE HIDING???????? Asshole as their testimony will shoot the hearsay BS right up your old white ass!!!!!!
btw... Sondland has already testified privately. Why wasn't he up front and center with Kent and Taylor? When you know the public is going to get board quickly, you generally put your best foot forward!
During CNN's post-testimony coverage, Toobin called [Taylor's yesterday's newly revealed conversation] an "important new development...a bombshell revelation."
Why? Because it reveals someone present hearing the President himself demand extortion.
Sondland will testify personally about why he later contradicted what he earlier said.
We'll see how convincing that is, or not.
Bolton will tell why he was warning everyone away from Trump's personal lawyer Giuliani because he considered him to be "a handgrenade that will blow everybody up."
Bolton now says he was present in a large number of important meetings.
CH, WHY AREN'T YOU JUST LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THAT?
What are all of these deep state actors hiding when they are attempting
Well now Lil Scotty is claiming Bolton and Mulvaney are deep staters.....NOW THAT IIS MOST AMUSING!!!!!!
You need to ask Sondland why he omitted that call in his testimony....I am sure the committee will be interested in that answer if the fake ambassador revises his testimony a second time.......That can;t be good for trump since Gordo is big supporter!!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAA!!!
With all due respect, the fact that you think these impeachment hearings actually mean anything to me or most any conservative just goes to show exactly how out of touch you really are.
You are attempting to prove something (that even if you can prove) isn't a crime and isn't impeachable. Even if you can get past the problem of all of the actual proof being hearsay, second hand, mind reading... not to mention completely denied by Zelensky and completely contradicted by the facts (the aid was actually provided and no investigation or statements were ever made)...
You still are never, ever, in a million years come even close to getting around the bottom line problem that what is being alleged is nothing more than completely legal business as usual.
And here is the bigger rub James.
I don't "HAVE" to convince you of anything. What you believe, doesn't matter one bit.
But you HAVE TO CONVINCE me and other conservatives, otherwise this just goes down the crapper as a partisan attack, and ultimately the President will be able to do his VICTORY LAP when he is acquitted (AKA totally vindicated) in the Senate.
But you HAVE TO CONVINCE me and other conservatives,

WASHINGTON (AP) — A second U.S. Embassy staffer in Kyiv overheard a cellphone call between President Donald Trump and his ambassador to the European Union discussing a need for Ukrainian officials to pursue “investigations,” The Associated Press has learned.
Full Coverage: Trump impeachment inquiry The July 26 call between Trump and Gordon Sondland was first described during testimony Wednesday by William B. Taylor Jr., the acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. Taylor said one of his staffers overhead the call while Sondland was in a Kyiv restaurant the day after Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that triggered the House impeachment inquiry.
The second diplomatic staffer also at the table was Suriya Jayanti, a foreign service officer based in Kyiv. A person briefed on what Jayanti overheard spoke to AP on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter currently under investigation.
Trump on Wednesday said he did not recall the July 26 call.
“No, not at all, not even a little bit,” Trump said.
The staffer Taylor testified about is David Holmes, the political counselor at the embassy in Kyiv, according to an official familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Holmes is scheduled to testify Friday before House investigators in a closed session.
Taylor was one of the first witnesses called Wednesday during the impeachment inquiry’s initial open hearing. He testified that his staffer could hear Trump on the phone asking Sondland about “the investigations.”
The accounts of Holmes and Jayanti could tie Trump closer to alleged efforts to hold up military aid to Ukraine in exchange for investigations into political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings.
Current and former U.S. officials say Sondland’s use of a cellphone in a public place in Ukraine to speak with anyone in the U.S. government back home about sensitive matters, let alone the president, would be a significant breach of communications security.

“The historic Italian city has been brought to its knees this week by the worst flooding there in more than 50 years.”
This summarizes why Lil Scotty and the goat fucker can't think for themselves.....trumps actions are perfect and the Ukes got their money....no crime to see here.....
Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio set their tone and pace, apparently betting that a sustained note of incredulity and a motor-mouth delivery could distract listeners from the fragility of his arguments. Trump Seen In ‘Animated Conversation’ with William Barr November 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm EST
Before departing for a campaign rally in Louisiana, President Trump was seen in the Oval Office having what NBC News called an “animated conversation” with Attorney General William Barr. ____________
In her first press conference since public impeachment hearings began, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday scolded reporters who used Republican talking points about the whistleblower — the anonymous intelligence official whose identity President Trump and his allies are insisting must be made public.
“When you talk about the whistleblower, you’re coming into my wheelhouse,” Pelosi said. “The whistleblower is there to speak truth to power and have protection for doing that. And any retribution or harm coming toward a whistleblower undermines our ability to hear truth about power. So I will defend the rights about the whistleblower vehemently.”
The House speaker also accused the president of “bribery” in his actions related to Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters after Wednesday’s hearings, Trump said, “I want to find out who is the whistleblower because the whistleblower gave a lot of very incorrect information, including my call with the president of Ukraine, which was a perfect call and highly appropriate.”
Pelosi said that Trump has every right to present “exculpatory” evidence to the House committees leading the impeachment inquiry.
“If the president has something that is exculpatory — Mr. President, that means you have anything that shows your innocence — then he should make that known,” Pelosi said. “So far we haven’t see that.”
“But nobody — nobody, the president is not above the law, the president will be held accountable — and nobody should have the right to endanger whistleblowers,” the speaker added.
Her comments came a day after two witnesses — Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, and State Department official George Kent — testified that they believed Trump would not grant Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky an Oval Office meeting or release $400 million in aid until Zelensky announced investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and a debunked conspiracy theory about alleged electoral interference by Ukraine in the 2016 election.
Pelosi said their testimony “corroborated evidence of bribery.”
“The president abused power and violated his oath by threatening to withhold military aid and a White House meeting in exchange for an investigation into his political rival — a clear attempt for the president to give himself an advantage in the 2020 election,” she said.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi talks to reporters on Capitol Hill on Nov. 14.
“The bribe is to grant or withhold military assistance [in exchange for] a public statement of a fake investigation into the elections,” Pelosi continued. “That’s bribery.”
“What the president has admitted to and says is ‘perfect’ is perfectly wrong,” she added. “It’s bribery.”
Trump and his Republican allies argued that both Taylor and Kent relied on second- and thirdhand information in their testimony. The House speaker warned Americans not to be distracted by that argument, noting that the White House has blocked current and former administration officials who do have firsthand knowledge — including acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and former national security adviser John Bolton — from appearing before investigators.
“Don’t fall into the secondhand stuff,” Pelosi said. “That’s a fraudulent proposition put forth by the Republicans. They obstruct everyone who they would regard to have firsthand knowledge.”
Pelosi said she takes no joy in Trump’s possible impeachment, but that it is Congress’s duty to defend the Constitution against “all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
“This is something we do with a heavy heart. This is very prayerful,” she said. “But we must uphold our oath of office.”
Pelosi also compared the impeachment case against Trump to the case against President Richard Nixon, who ultimately resigned before the House could vote on the articles of impeachment.
“What President Trump has done on the record in terms of asking a foreign power to help him in his own election and the obstruction of information about that, the cover-up, makes what Nixon did
"ALTHOUGH THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TAX RETURNS, PLEASE HELP ME HIDE THEM FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE," TRUMP ASKS THE SUPREME COURT
Trump Asks Supreme Court to Shield His Tax Returns November 14, 2019 at 5:14 pm EST
“President Trump asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to stop a prosecutor’s investigation of his personal finances, a bold assertion of presidential power that seeks a landmark decision from the nation’s highest court,” the Washington Post reports.
“The filing by the president’s private lawyers represents a historical moment that tests the court’s independence and highlights the Constitution’s separation-of-powers design. It also marks a new phase in the investigations that have dogged Trump throughout his presidency and have culminated in an impeachment inquiry.
“The justices are not required to review the lower court’s decision. But the chances that the high court will get involved increased Wednesday, when a separate appeals court in a separate case concluded Congress has a right to those same tax records.”
New York Times: “The case, the first concerning Mr. Trump’s personal conduct and business dealings to reach the court, could yield a major ruling on the scope of presidential immunity from criminal investigations."
“What President Trump has done on the record in terms of asking a foreign power to help him in his own election and the obstruction of information about that, the cover-up, makes what Nixon did look almost small,”
The question remains is whether the public interest rate is increasing the President may be facing a historic event.
I'm not predicting anything, my record is not great!
Have you seen any Republicans previous opposed to impeachment suddenly changing their tune after yesterday's hearings? (and no, Chris Wallace is not a Republican and he didn't change his mind).
I have seen some relatively open "cracks" in the Democrats talking points, as I believe that Jordon's cross-examination hit home with some of the points. (Such as the one discussed by Toobin that none of the witnesses provided any first hand accounting of anything)
If there is going to be any sort of increase in support or opposition, I would lean towards opposition... since we have already had all of this information "leaked" prior. Banking on an in-person bump is risky... when you realize that everything that Jordon and the Republicans are asking is going to be "new" and make a bigger impact.
Well Scott. Speaker Pelosi provided the articles of impeachment today.
“The bribe is to grant or withhold military assistance [in exchange for] a public statement of a fake investigation into the elections,” Pelosi continued. “That’s bribery.”,
And as in the Nixon impeachment his refusal to provide subpoenaed information as in the Nixon tapes, was objection of justice.
The second hand accusations are not the primary allegations. His own transcript will go down in history as the high crime, bribery and extortion.
Even first person evidence is not the primary source of evidence against Trump.
He. Jordan gets you excited but outside of the base, 40% or so. He's a child abuser, because he didn't report that allegations against the guy who was masturbating in the shower with the young boys.
Quigley, a Democrat who represents Illinois and is also an attorney, said during the hearing. "Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct, as we have learned in painful instances and it's certainly valid in this instance."
The shift toward bribery as an impeachable offense, one of only two crimes specifically cited in the Constitution, comes after nearly two months of debate over whether Trump’s conduct amounted to a “quid pro quo” — a lawyerly Latin term describing an exchange of things of value.
Wednesday’s public testimony from two senior diplomats, Pelosi (D-Calif.) said, “corroborated evidence of bribery uncovered in the inquiry and that the president abused power and violated his oath by threatening to withhold military aid and a White House meeting in exchange for an investigation into his political rival.
Bribery, she suggested, amounted to a translation of quid pro quo that would stand to be more accessible to Americans: “Talking Latin around here: E pluribus unum — from many, one. Quid pro quo — bribery. And that is in the Constitution, attached to the impeachment proceedings.”
I have been saying this same thing for a couple weeks!
"Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is floundering in the polls – polls that include Iowa – despite strategically pumping the bulk of her resources into the Hawkeye State."
Budget Official Expected to Break Ranks November 14, 2019 at 8:14 pm EST
“A longtime career employee at the White House Office of Management and Budget is expected to break ranks and testify Saturday in the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, potentially filling in important details on the hold-up of military aid to Ukraine,” the Washington Post reports.
“Mark Sandy would be the first OMB employee to testify in the inquiry, after OMB acting director Russell T. Vought and two other political appointees at the agency defied congressional subpoenas to appear. The White House has called the impeachment inquiry unconstitutional and ordered administration officials not to participate.”
Giuliani Faces Probe on Campaign Finance November 14, 2019 at 8:10 pm EST
“Rudy Giuliani is being investigated by federal prosecutors for possible campaign finance violations and a FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A FOREIGN AGENT as part of an active investigation into his financial dealings,” Bloomberg reports.
“The probe of Giuliani, which one official said could also include possible charges on VIOLATING LAWS AGAISNT BRIBING FOREIGN OFFICIALS OR CONSPIRACY, presents a serious threat to Trump’s presidency from a man that former national security adviser John Bolton has called a ‘hand grenade.'”
If Republicans want to complain that neither of the two witnesses yesterday had direct contact with the President when he said what they heard others say he said, why is the White House trying to keep those who DID have direct contact with the President and can tell us directly what they heard him say -- from testifying?
Such testimony will surely vindicate the President, so let them testify.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the testimony in Wednesday’s public hearing “corroborated evidence of bribery” by President Trump in his dealings with Ukraine. Her use of “bribery” — one of the crimes the Constitution cites as an impeachable offense — suggests that Democrats are moving toward a more specific set of charges that could be codified in articles of impeachment.
Mark Sandy would be the first OMB employee to testify in the inquiry, after OMB acting director Russell T. Vought and two other political appointees at the agency defied congressional subpoenas to appear. The White House has called the impeachment inquiry unconstitutional and ordered administration officials not to participate.
Unlike these other OMB officials, Sandy is a career employee, not one appointed by the president. He has worked at the agency off and on for over a decade, under presidents of both parties, climbing the ranks to his current role as deputy associate director for national security programs.
Mark Sandy, a career White House budget official, is expected to break ranks and testify in the impeachment inquiry. His signature appears on at least one of the so called apportionment letters stopping payment of the Congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine.
White House budget official Mark Sandy signals he will testify in impeachment inquiry 7:51 p.m. ET Nov. 14, 2019
WASHINGTON – A career aide inside the White House budget office signaled Thursday he will testify in the House impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, the latest case of an administration official bucking orders to ignore congressional subpoenas.
Mark Sandy, a former acting director of the Office of Management and Budget who is currently the agency’s associate director for national security programs, could shed additional light on the reason nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine was held up this year.
“If Mr. Sandy is subpoenaed, he will appear for a deposition this Saturday,” Sandy’s attorney, Barbara “Biz” Van Gelder, told USA TODAY.
Sandy, who is expected to testify behind-closed doors, is the latest case of a career official defying White House orders to resist congressional subpoenas in the matter, which Trump attorneys describe as an unconstitutional “witch hunt.” He would be the first budget office official to cooperate at a time when there are questions about why the aid was withheld.
White House officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Democratic-led inquiry is based on a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Trump discussed military assistance for Ukraine and suggested Zelensky help with investigations into Joe Biden’s son Hunter and unsubstantiated allegations about Ukraine’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.
Other officials have testified that they became aware in July that a hold had been placed on the Ukraine aid when an unnamed OMB staffer disclosed the decision during an inter-agency phone call but could not say why.
Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has said he is confident the president will remain loyal to him as an impeachment inquiry unfolds in which the former New York mayor has become a central figure.
But Giuliani joked that he had good “insurance” in case Trump did turn on him, amid speculation Republicans will seek to frame him as a rogue actor.
In a telephone interview with the Guardian, in response to a question about whether he was nervous that Trump might “throw him under a bus” in the impeachment crisis, Giuliani said, with a slight laugh: “I’m not, but I do have very, very good insurance, so if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid.”
Whether it was a joke or a veiled threat, Giuliani has emerged as a key player in the impeachment proceedings, which center on the question of whether Trump sought to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate his political rival, Joe Biden.
you never "say" anything here. you steal what others "say" and call it your own.
Her use of “bribery” — one of the crimes the Constitution cites as an impeachable offense — suggests that Democrats are moving toward a more specific set of charges that could be codified in articles of impeachment.
no, what it means is that the democrats felt the need to poll certain terms like "bribery" and "quid pro quo" to agree on a word that their fucktard base of low info voters could comprehend.
Several Democrats have stopped using the term “quid pro quo,” instead describing “bribery” as a more direct summation of Trump’s alleged conduct.
The shift came after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee conducted focus groups in key House battlegrounds in recent weeks, testing messages related to impeachment. Among the questions put to participants was whether “quid pro quo,” “extortion” or “bribery” was a more compelling description of Trump’s conduct. According to two people familiar with the results, which circulated among Democrats this week, the focus groups found “bribery” to be most damning. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the results have not been made public.
Blogger KansasDemocrat said... "President Donald Trump’s nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Steven Menashi, was confirmed by the Senate Thursday."
Big Win.
big win indeed.
this is one reason why i am loving this impeachment circle-jerk.
while the democrats are giving the left some impeachment porn to masturbate over, mitch is quietly and methodically re-shaping the federal judiciary. a move that will have ramifications for at least a generation.
and what the democrats have not bothered to calculate either -
when this clown show reaches the senate, mitch gets to set the schedule. that means six days per week, calling countless witnesses, dragging this on for days and weeks, and effectively suspending the presidential campaigns of every democrat senator currently seeking the nomination. probably through february and up to the iowa caucuses.
so... bernie, harris, booker and warren get to actually do their fucking jobs, while seeing their road trips suspended and their donations drying up due to their inability to campaign and in turn, fundraise.
heh.
i love it.
democrats never think this shit through, and this time they may have royally fucked themselves in the most epic manner we'll see in our lifetime.
...Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Deputy Head of the Prosecutor General's International Legal Cooperation Department Kostiantyn Kulyk must feel like invisible men. They believe they have solid evidence that ties American Democrats and officials in the Ukrainian government to 2016 election interference and the obstruction of criminal probes, yet no one will pay attention to them...
... [The Hill's John] Solomon says that Lutsenko and Kulyk have been trying for a year to present their evidence to officials at the Sessions/Rosenstein led DOJ, however, not a single official they've contacted has shone any interest in pursuing the claims.
The men then decided to travel to the U.S. to speak with new Attorney General William Barr directly about their findings.
However, their attempts to obtain visas have been thwarted repeatedly by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, a highly partisan Democrat. Kulyk told Solomon, "We were supposed to share this information during a working trip to the United States. However, the [U.S.] ambassador blocked us from obtaining a visa. She didn't explicitly deny our visa, but also didn't give it to us..."

Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio set their tone and pace, apparently betting that a sustained note of incredulity and a motor-mouth delivery could distract listeners from the fragility of his arguments. He insisted the president couldn’t possibly have done anything wrong because, in the end, Ukraine got its money without committing to any investigations.

Trump Asks Supreme Court to Shield His Tax Returns
November 14, 2019 at 5:14 pm EST
We will see!
presidential immunity from criminal investigation is at risk.
Any President should not be above the law!
Hey kput'z shut the fuck up
Well Roger...
Roger, what time is your window for dinner at the home each night?
Tomorrow will any of the so called witnesses have actual direct evidence and not heard a little something-something?
Probably don't believe it most of the newspapers have information that if Presiden Trump wasn't so popular he would be impeached.
The Senate trial could have a secret ballot. There are many Republicans have a conscience and their allegiance to the Constitution matters.
We will see.... quoting the President on Twitter!
Jordan is the Heinrich Himmler of the Trump cult.
"“It’s hearsay,” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) said of Taylor’s testimony. “It’s really difficult dealing with this because it’s he said-she said.”
He. Jordan gets you excited but outside of the base, 40% or so. He's a child abuser, because he didn't report that allegations against the guy who was masturbating in the shower with the young boys.
Kput'z shut the fuck up
The new shift goal post move is "attempted" something or other?
Quigley, a Democrat who represents Illinois and is also an attorney, said during the hearing. "Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct, as we have learned in painful instances and it's certainly valid in this instance."
“It’s hearsay,” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) said of Taylor’s testimony. “It’s really difficult dealing with this because it’s he said-she said.”
oh oh
Real First Hand Witness would be ground breaking stuff in the Schiff Bowl of a sewer.
The real US House vote was Bi-Partisan AGAINST .
Scott, I have been saying that bribery is in the Constitution, and the Congress has an obligation to enforce the Constitution.

Budget Official Expected to Break Ranks
November 14, 2019 at 8:14 pm EST
“A longtime career employee at the White House Office of Management and Budget is expected to break ranks and testify Saturday in the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, potentially filling in important details on the hold-up of military aid to Ukraine,” the Washington Post reports.
“Mark Sandy would be the first OMB employee to testify in the inquiry, after OMB acting director Russell T. Vought and two other political appointees at the agency defied congressional subpoenas to appear. The White House has called the impeachment inquiry unconstitutional and ordered administration officials not to participate.”

Giuliani Faces Probe on Campaign Finance
November 14, 2019 at 8:10 pm EST
OH MY. OH MY. OH MY.
Otherwise, someone must have something to hide.
The Guns Are Loaded
Mark Sandy would be the first OMB employee to testify in the inquiry, after OMB acting director Russell T. Vought and two other political appointees at the agency defied congressional subpoenas to appear. The White House has called the impeachment inquiry unconstitutional and ordered administration officials not to participate.
Unlike these other OMB officials, Sandy is a career employee, not one appointed by the president. He has worked at the agency off and on for over a decade, under presidents of both parties, climbing the ranks to his current role as deputy associate director for national security programs.
Another never Trump?

White House budget official Mark Sandy signals he will testify in impeachment inquiry
7:51 p.m. ET Nov.
The Three Socialist Stooges of CHT go get some Rest knowing President Trump is your President .

The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the results have not been made public.

big win indeed.
this is one reason why i am loving this impeachment circle-jerk.
while the democrats are giving the left some impeachment porn to masturbate over, mitch is quietly and methodically re-shaping the federal judiciary. a move that will have ramifications for at least a generation.
and what the democrats have not bothered to calculate either -
when this clown show reaches the senate, mitch gets to set the schedule. that means six days per week, calling countless witnesses, dragging this on for days and weeks, and effectively suspending the presidential campaigns of every democrat senator currently seeking the nomination. probably through february and up to the iowa caucuses.
so... bernie, harris, booker and warren get to actually do their fucking jobs, while seeing their road trips suspended and their donations drying up due to their inability to campaign and in turn, fundraise.
heh.
