Bloomberg set to enter the Democratic race?

Privately weighing?
Mr. Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor and billionaire businessman, has been privately weighing a bid for the White House for weeks and has not yet made a final decision on whether to run, an adviser said. But in the first sign that he is seriously moving toward a campaign, Mr. Bloomberg has dispatched staffers to Alabama to gather signatures to qualify for the primary there. Though Alabama does not hold an early primary, it has a Friday deadline for candidates to formally enter the race.

Not sure what Michael Bloomberg brings to the race other than being a little better known version of Tom Steyer.  I always take anonymous reports that understand what someone is "privately" doing (since the idea of something being private means other people are not aware of if)... but this has been circulating for some time. The proof in this case appears to be the fact that he actually "has" staffers who can be circulated.

Eric Holder (and of course Hillary Clinton) are also said to be weighing their options, but no signs that they are "circulating" anyone anywhere.. Sort of good to know that some of these deadlines will come and go over the next few weeks, because eventually we will be past the point of no return. While I think it's nonsense for someone at this point to get involved, I wouldn't be surprised if Bloomberg (or someone else) does enter late.

He's a young 77 and gives more choice for which old white man dems can vote for.

Plus I guess he's a "good" billionaire"?

No straws, water bottles or sodas on the debate stage if he "qualifies".

Maybe he can announce de Blasio as his VP, New York, New York.

Kind of has a ring to it.

Another beautiful morning, Happy Friday !!!
