FOIA Emails: Eric Ciaramella, Victoria Nuland Received Regular Updates From Top Official at Soros’ Open Society Foundations
Emails obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request by conservative group Citizens United show that Jeff Goldstein, a senior policy analyst for Eurasia at George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, kept CIA officer Eric Ciaramella and former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the State Department, Victoria Nuland, regularly informed on Ukraine policy.
These emails were obtained in 2018 by Citizens United as part of an investigation into Victoria Nuland. But, lo and behold, it turns out the alleged whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, was also included in the communications loop between Soros’ organization and the State Department. I am aware that Ciaramella has not been formally confirmed to be the whistleblower, but if he does turn out to be the one who filed the complaint, here is some pretty devastating evidence of his involvement with the deep state.
They are smoke testing their "witnesses" behind closed doors, with the intention of moving only those that help their political case to the public hearings. So some of these witnesses will be called "again" and many of them will likely not ever see the light of day.
This week we will get a slew of people that nobody has ever heard of prior to this. They are hyping Sondland because he had "some" contact with the President. But that contact was much more limited than some people would like us to believe, and if the transcripts are accurate, his knowledge is limited to what he was told by others and what he assumes to be true.
"The emails informed Ciaramella and a handful of other Obama administration foreign policy officials about Soros’s whereabouts, the contents of Soros’s private meetings about Ukraine and a future meeting the billionaire activist was holding with the prime minister of Ukraine.
A primary recipient of the Open Society emails along with Ciaramella was then-Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland, who played a central role in the anti-Trump dossier affair. Nuland, with whom Ciaramella worked closely, received updates on Ukraine issues from dossier author Christopher Steele in addition to her direct role in facilitating the dossier within the Obama administration.
The emails spotlight Soros’s access to national security officials under the Obama administration on the matter of Ukraine."
LET THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF COME AND SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT, PELOSI SAYS
Pelosi invites Trump to testify as new witnesses prepare The Associated Press
WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi invited President Donald Trump to testify in front of investigators in the House impeachment inquiry ahead of a week that will see several key witnesses appear publicly.
Pushing back against accusations from the president that the process has been stacked against him, Pelosi said Trump is welcome to appear or answer questions in writing, if he chooses.
“If he has information that is exculpatory, that means ex, taking away, culpable, blame, then we look forward to seeing it,” she said in an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’s "Face the Nation.” Trump “could come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants if he wants,” she said.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer echoed that suggestion.
“If Donald Trump doesn’t agree with what he’s hearing, doesn’t like what he’s hearing, he shouldn’t tweet. He should come to the committee and testify under oath. And he should allow all those around him to come to the committee and testify under oath,” Schumer told reporters. He said the White House’s insistence on blocking witnesses from cooperating begs the question: “What is he hiding?”
What IS he trying hide by not allowing close associates to testify and trying to intimidate witnesses and not being willing to come and speak himself?
James... he is up about two and a half points from about three weeks ago in the Real Clear Politics average? Within striking distance of his all time high water mark.
Why do you suppose he has been rising over the past three weeks, rather than tanking?
Oh DEAR. IT'S GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT FOR THE EVER TRUMPERS TO KEEP THE LIES GOING
U.S. Officials Knew of Ukraine’s Trump Anxiety November 18, 2019 at 10:29 am EST
“Despite his denials, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was feeling pressure from the Trump administration to investigate Joe Biden before his July phone call with President Trump that has led to impeachment hearings,” the AP reports.
“In early May, staff at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, including then-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, were briefed on a meeting Zelensky held in which he sought advice on how to navigate the difficult position he was in… He was concerned that Trump and associates were pressing him to take action that could affect the 2020 U.S. presidential race.
“The briefings show that U.S. officials knew early that Zelensky was feeling pressure to investigate Biden, even though the Ukrainian leader later denied it in a joint news conference with Trump in September.”
C.H. Truth said... They are smoke testing their "witnesses" behind closed doors, with the intention of moving only those that help their political case to the public hearings.
True, and they still haven't released all their transcripts (from my understanding) and Schiff continues to blatantly lie since he is not under oath and can say whatever he wants to push his false narrative.
The fact that Pelosi wants Trump to testify and is now publicly calling for it is called a "change in strategy".
If things were going as well as some of you believe they are, why are the President's approvals going up, and why is Pelosi trying to change strategies again?

not enough cut-and-pastes from political_liar by the "pastor" ???
The remarkable thing is that these people are all connected. They all know each other. It’s almost incestuous. Many of the people involved in the Russia hoax are now involved in the Ukraine hoax. And all of them seem to have a direct line to George Soros.
and it's amazing how Ukraine/Soros helps fund Schiff... and how many democrats are intertwined with the most corrupt country on the planet, Ukraine. And how they helped create the Steele Russian HOAX dossier...
and how no one wants to investigate but somehow spend lots of time "polling"..
Kurt Volker Appears to Have Lied to Congress November 18, 2019 at 10:19 am EST
Ryan Goodman: “Ambassador Kurt Volker faces a serious credibility problem for having denied knowledge or involvement in President Trump and Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to press Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden. He also appears to have lied about a crucial July 10 meeting at the White House and other related matters. Volker faces a serious legal liability problem too. He made these apparent false statements to Congress in his deposition UNDER PENALTY OF LAW.
“[There is a chart that] presents detailed information comparing Volker’s testimony to the testimony of at least eleven other current and former U.S. officials whose statements contradict what Volker told Congress.”
"The Atlantic Council is a super liberal think-tank which receives much of its funding from Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian natural gas company where Hunter Biden had served as a board member.
Vadym Pozharskyi is a board advisor to Burisma. Hmmm.
The Atlantic Council organized a trip to Ukraine for the last week of August. I posted about this here. During the trip, one of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s staffers, Thomas Eager, held a meeting with acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor, one of Schiff’s star witnesses in the impeachment inquiry. Eager is a member of The Atlantic Council and Taylor has a “close relationship” with the organization as well.
Several weeks ago, watchdog group Judicial Watch obtained records of the White House visitor’s log showing who had met with Ciaramella during his time at the National Security Council. According to Judicial Watch, the logs show that DNC contractor Alexandra Chalupa, who actively worked to dig up dirt on Trump and his then-campaign manager Paul Manafort, visited the White House 27 times.
Very Interesting... more Schiff staffers and the "whistleblower"
Trump’s GRAVEST Abuse of Power November 18, 2019 at 9:55 am EST
OMG! OMG!
Jonathan Chait: “The saga of President Trump’s reprisals against Amazon has lurked on the margin of the news, largely overshadowed by the Ukraine scandal. Late Thursday night, Amazon revealed it had filed a protest in federal court of a Pentagon decision to deny it a $10 billion cloud-computing contract, the most recent piecemeal iteration of a saga that attracted precious little media attention even before the Ukraine scandal obscured it.
“Yet the story here is almost certainly a MASSIVE scandal, probably MORE significant than the Ukraine scandal that spurred impeachment proceedings.
Trump improperly used government policy to punish the owner of an independent newspaper as retribution for critical coverage.
It resembles the Ukraine scandal because it is a FLAGRANT ABUSE of power, and has been hiding in plain sight for months (as the Ukraine scandal did, until a whistle-blower report leaked in September). The scale of the abuse, though, is far more SERIOUS, because it is a CONCRETE manifestation of Trump’s authoritarian ambitions.” ___________
Well now, I, fair-minded James, am not prepared to credit this just now BUT WHAT IF IT IS TRUE?
He made these apparent false statements to Congress in his deposition UNDER PENALTY OF LAW.
and I am sure that Barr and the DOJ will pursue this just as aggressively as Lynch and the DOJ pursued all of the Clinton and Clinton aid lies to Congress!
You know... given that a liberal opinion writer suggests that maybe, it's possible that "apparently" this person might have lied.
My best guess is that this evidence of lies comes from leaks of partial testimony from other people who don't actually have any tangible evidence to back up what they say?
“If Donald Trump doesn’t agree with what he’s hearing, doesn’t like what he’s hearing, he shouldn’t tweet. He should come to the committee and testify under oath. And he should allow all those around him to come to the committee and testify under oath.” — Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), quoted by Reuters, echoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation for Trump to testify.
Democrats need to shake it up. They are obviously "flailing" right now on the impeachment front, with the only saving grace that nobody is watching it.
and they are now in danger of nominating the person who lines up worst against Trump (Buttigieg) in all state and general election polling!
Well, Ch, you can be sure other Trump associates are weighing how truthful or untruthful they should be, seeing how many of Trump's cronies are ending up with prison time.
Analysis: Media's Biden Standard of 'No Evidence' Is a Double Standard
For three years many of journalism’s most prestigious news outlets won acclaim for making and repeating claims President Trump and his team had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. No accusation, from secret meetings in Prague to tales of prostitutes peeing on beds, was deemed unfit to print. When they wanted to signal to readers that they were conveying claims instead of facts, their hedge words of choice – “unverified” or “not yet proved” were favorites – strongly suggested that confirmation was on the way.
Call it the Trump Standard.
Now those same news outfits are observing a new standard of proof, at least when it involves former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who enjoyed a lucrative relationship with a Ukrainian gas company. This new norm demands that, absent definitive proof, assertions must be labeled as “without evidence” or said to be supported by “no evidence.”
Call it the Biden Standard.
Journalists have been appropriately skittish about appearing to spread Trump talking points – especially his accusation that while serving as vice president Joe Biden demanded a Ukrainian prosecutor be fired because he was investigating the gas company, Burisma, that was paying his son Hunter tens of thousands of dollars a month.
Trump’s allegation has not been proved. But Joe Biden was the Obama administration’s point man on the Ukraine. His son has said Burisma probably hired him because of who his is father and Joe Biden did demand the prosecutor’s firing – because, he says, the prosecutor wasn’t doing enough to root out corruption. Still, the Burisma probe was dropped.
Normally media would greet such an arrangement skeptically, to say the least. A politician’s son making hay in a business over which his father has some sway? That’s the sort of stuff traditionally met with journalistic lectures not only on the evils of conflicts of interest but on the perils of the mere appearance of such conflicts. Instead, in this instance, reporters and editors have read from the same script to diminish and discredit such concerns.
Well, Ch, you can be sure other Trump associates are weighing how truthful or untruthful they should be, seeing how many of Trump's cronies are ending up with prison time.
Well there is no "special counsel" anymore to charge a bunch of people with process crimes because that special counsel was upset that they failed to find ANYTHING that they were attempting to find... and just wanted to save face.
So it falls to the DOJ to determine what is and isn't a criminal matter.
Trump’s Rallies May Be Hurting Republicans November 18, 2019 at 10:59 am EST
Jonathan Bernstein: “Democratic operatives in Louisiana seem to think so. And Trump’s overall lack of popularity certainly hurts Republican candidates everywhere, even in places where he remains popular."

If I were one of those OFFICIALS, facing possible jail time for perjury, I would want simply to TELL THE TRUTH.

SO, he's trying to keep them from testifying and of course he would NEVER have the courage to testify himself and tell, as Pelosi said, whatever "truth" he wants to tell.
Are you arguing that only people on the GOP can be punished for lying to Congress. After all, Yovanovitch contradicted her own testimony under oath. She answered one way when questioned by Democrats, then changed her tune and answered another way when she was confronted by evidence of her lie?
The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, the House's general counsel said in federal court Monday. https://t.co/S653QqZ4zg
And by the way, I am aware of no contradictions in Yavanovich's testimony. Please state clearly specifically what they were, without a lot of your usual bombast and dancing around.
THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW THAT Trump and the Republicans Have a Big Health Care Problem November 18, 2019 at 12:28 pm EST
“Alarm bells are ringing in the deep-red South where Republicans have lost gubernatorial races this month in Kentucky and Louisiana — despite rallies President Trump held to boost their prospects — largely on the issue of Medicaid expansion. Republicans in Washington better hear them.
“Andy Beshear upset incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin in Kentucky, campaigning against the work requirements Bevin put on Medicaid in a state that had seen the uninsured rate for adults too young for Medicare drop from 21% to 7%. Democratic Gov. Jon Bel Edwards fended off a GOP challenge Saturday from a candidate pledging to block new enrollment in Medicaid and conduct stricter oversight of how recipients qualify for benefits.
“Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D) won her race in 2018 after running on the same issue in a state Trump won by 20 percentage points.” _______________
ALSO THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW THAT The House Is Investigating Whether Trump Lied to Mueller
The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, CNN reports.
the House hasn't been able to see what Manafort told the grand jury, which Mueller apparently described in his report. In the Mueller report, grand jury details are redacted related to a sentence describing Manafort speaking with Trump after WikiLeaks' first release, in July 2016.
Well, seems like House Democrats noticed that President Turd’s, sworn under oath to be truthful, answers to Mueller’s questions, were in complete contradiction to the testimony presented in the Roger Stone case and conviction. Those little “facts” were redacted in the previously released copy of the report.... Sounds like “perjury” to me.
*Former Trump deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates testified in last week's trial that Roger Stone spoke with then-candidate Trump in a July 2016 phone call.
*A minute after ending the call, Trump told Gates, in reference to WikiLeaks, that "more information would be coming."
*Trump told Mueller in written answers included in the special counsel's report that he did not recall discussing WikiLeaks with Stone.
What I’m hearing out in the street is with most people is, they’re kind of tired, they’re kind of worn out, they’re kind of bored, most folks, and they really want to move on. Unless there’s something new and amazing, we know the end game here."
"although I have met former vice president Joe Biden several times over the course of our many years in government service, neither he nor the previous administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me."
It was proven to be a lie when Stefanik got her to admit that not only had it been raised, but it was actually raised to her before she was even confirmed. She literally went through a whole mock Q&A about Burisma and Hunter for her confirmation hearing, because the Administration was worried that questions about those conflicts (as it pertained to Hunter and Burisma) might be raised during the hearing.
Last time I checked... opening statements are sworn under oath.
The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, CNN reports.
Which is basically an admission that they have already LOST the Ukrainian impeachment narrative!
Nobody is going to give a bigger flying fart that the Democrats in the House want to re-investigate the Mueller probe again. Especially not the "obstruction" part.
Now house pretending Trump lied to Mueller. They're gonna announce some new investigation bombshell daily, no matter the lack of evidence for any of it.
Libdblove it. The rest of the country has had enough.
CH UNTRUTH SAYS In her opening statement, Yovanovitch said:
"although I have met former vice president Joe Biden several times over the course of our many years in government service, neither he nor the previous administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me."
CH SAYS: It was proven to be a lie when Stefanik got her to admit that not only had it been raised, but it was actually raised to her before she was even confirmed. She literally went through a whole mock Q&A about Burisma and Hunter for her confirmation hearing, because the Administration was worried that questions about those conflicts (as it pertained to Hunter and Burisma) might be raised during the hearing.
Stefanik: “The first time that you personally became aware of Burisma was actually when you were being prepared by the Obama State Department for your Senate confirmation hearings and this was in the form of practice questions and answers. This was your deposition. And you testified that in this particular practice Q&A with the Obama State Department, it wasn’t just generally about Burisma and corruption, it was specifically about Hunter Biden and Burisma. Is that correct?”
Yovanovitch: “Yes, it is.”
Stefanik: “And the exact quote from your testimony is, “The way the question was phrased in this model Q&A was, ‘what can you tell us about Hunter Biden being named to the board of Burisma?’” So for the millions of Americans watching, President Obama’s own State Department was so concerned about potential conflicts of interest from Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma that they raised it themselves while prepping this wonderful ambassador nominee before her confirmation and yet our Democratic colleagues and the Chairman of this committee cry foul when we dare ask that same question that the Obama State Department was so concerned about.” _______________
This seems like it could be a contradiction from what she said earlier:
“although I have met former Vice President Biden several times over the course of our many years in government service, neither he nor the previous administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me.” _______________________
Ratcliffe: I’d like to ask you about your earlier testimony about your Senate confirmation and congresswoman Stefanik had asked you how the Obama-Biden State Department had prepared you to answer questions about Burisma and Hunter Biden specifically. You recall that?
Yovanovitch: Yes.
Ratcliffe: And she mentioned that you had been asked or been prepared for a question about Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Burisma but I don’t think that you gave us the answer or answers that the Obama-Biden State Department prepared you to give in response to that question. Do you remember what those answers were?
Yovanovitch: Yeah it was something along the lines of, “I would refer you to the vice president’s office on that.”
Ratcliffe: So did they in the course of that brief you about the amount of money that Hunter Biden was being paid by Burisma?
Yovanovitch: NO, THIS WASN'T PART OF A BRIEFING. I mean I had sort of big old books with questions that might come up.
Ratcliffe: In preparation for your confirmation and they thought that Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma might be significant enough that it would come up during your confirmation, is that correct?
Yovanovitch: Apparently so, I mean there were hundreds of questions.
Ratcliffe: Well, hundreds of questions, but were there hundreds of companies? how many companies other than Burisma did the Obama-Biden State Department prepare you to give answers for and if so, if there were others. which ones?
Yovanovitch: I just don’t recall.
Ratcliffe: You don’t recall that there were any other companies, is that correct?
Yovanovitch: I’m quite sure there probably were some companies, but I mean, you know, this is a while ago and I don’t recall.
Ratcliffe: But you specifically recall Burisma?
Yovanovitch: Yes.
Ratcliffe: All right, out of thousands of companies in the Ukraine the only one that you recall the Obama-Biden State Department preparing you to answer questions about was the one where the vice president’s son was on the board, is that fair?
How Democrats Won In Louisiana November 18, 2019 at 4:47 pm EST
Greg Sargent: “John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, won reelection as governor of deep-red Louisiana on Saturday by a comfortable 40,000 votes — after President Trump had repeatedly campaigned for his Republican opponent. Worse for Trump, this came after he positively begged voters to support the Republican, casting it as a referendum on himself by saying: ‘You got to give me a big win, please.'
“Yet Edwards won, in large part, by also stressing his implementation of the Affordable Care Act’s Medicaid expansion in the state during his first term. Indeed, Edwards’s lead pollster, Zac McCrary, told me during an interview that no single issue was more important in driving the governor’s victory.
“All of which underscores an important truism about the Trump era, one often neglected by pundits: A key reason Democrats have been racking up wins in Trump country may be TRUMP’S EMBRACE OF CONVENTIONAL GOP PLUTOCRATIC ECONOMICS.
If you have Facebook friends that are Trump supporters, I have revised the Pledge of Allegiance for them. Please feel free to post it on their timelines.
"I pledge allegiance to Donald Trump, and to the Right Wing of the Republican Party, one Party under Trump, indivisible, with blind support for elected Republicans regardless of the Constitution or the Rule of Law."
New Witness Added to Impeachment Inquiry Schedule November 18, 2019 at 5:33 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 13 Comments
David Holmes, a U.S. official in Kiev who overheard a phone conversation between U.S. ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland and President Trump will testify publicly on Thursday as part of the House impeachment inquiry, CNN reports.
The addition of Holmes means nine individuals will testify publicly as witnesses in the House impeachment probe this week.
Transcript: NPR's Ailsa Chang talks with Ambassador Dan Feldman, who knew impeachment witness David Holmes from 2007-2015. He respected Holmes even after Holmes filed a constructive dissent against his office.
AILSA CHANG, HOST: And for more on that aide that we just heard Michele Kelemen mention - his name is David Holmes. I want to now bring in Dan Feldman. He's a former State Department official who worked with Holmes in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Welcome.
DAN FELDMAN: Thank you.
CHANG: So I want to start with the moment from Ambassador Bill Taylor's testimony on Wednesday, when we first learned about David Holmes' role in all of this.
(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING) WILLIAM TAYLOR: In the presence of my staff, at a restaurant, Ambassador Sondland called President Trump and told him of his meetings in Kyiv. The member of my staff could hear President Trump on the phone asking Ambassador Sondland about the investigations.
CHANG: OK. We now know that member of his staff is David Holmes. Dan, how closely did you and David Holmes work together?
FELDMAN: He worked on Afghanistan issues for a number of years. And so he reported up to me and the rest of the chain of command on Afghanistan.
CHANG: And do you believe that David Holmes is someone who would speak up in a moment out of partisanship or politics; someone who could be accused of having an agenda here?
FELDMAN: Absolutely not, as was the case with every other foreign service officer I worked with over my more than six years at the State Department. I never knew the partisan inclinations of a single one of them.
CHANG: You don't even know if Holmes identifies as Democrat or Republican?
FELDMAN: I have no idea. In fact, he was awarded something during my time in the State Department where he was actually critical of an Obama administration policy and won an award for the dissent cable in which he wrote about that.
CHANG: And I also understand there was a time after Holmes worked with you when he filed an official complaint, what's called a constructive dissent cable. Can you tell me about that story? And what did you learn about him when that happened?
FELDMAN: Like every other foreign service officer, he's cut from the same cloth, as we've seen those diplomats testifying in the last few days. He's principled and ethical, conscientious. And this is an ability within the State Department, if officers feel that they don't agree with a policy, that it's not in the best interest of the U.S. policy, that they can file a dissent cable about it. And of all the dissent cables that were filed that year, his was awarded something for being among the most constructive and effective.
CHANG: So even though he was critical of the State Department, he was able to continue working in it and nobody held, it seemed like, grudges against him for filing that cable.
FELDMAN: No, no. In fact, I think it's very unique, I think, within an institution to demonstrate that they are so valued that they appreciate that constructive dissent. And if anything, his career would seem to be on a fast track. He really represented the best of the rising generation of foreign service officers. And many of the things that would signal that, he got even after he filed that dissent cable.
It's hard for me to call what Dems are doing impeachment because that implies constitutional order. There is almost nothing about what Dems are doing, and have done over the last several years, that is Constitutional.
Dear Readers, I know that you tire of Cowardly constantly putting irrelevant tweets here, and that's why I offer you substance.
New Witness Added to Impeachment Inquiry Schedule, Bringing the Number to Nine November 18, 2019 at 5:33 pm EST
As the public hearing phase of the impeachment inquiry of President Trump enters its second week, the House Intelligence Committee is set to hear testimony from eight witnesses. While each of the members of the administration are expected to shed light on Trump’s efforts to procure a Ukrainian investigation of former Vice President Joe Biden, none is more anticipated than Gordon Sondland.
Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, has emerged as a central figure in what Democrats allege is a bribery and extortion scheme in which the Trump administration conditioned the release of nearly $400 million in U.S. military aid and a meeting with the president on a public announcement that Kyiv was investigating Biden and his son Hunter.
Firsthand information A key Republican talking point used to defend Trump has been that none of the witnesses to publicly testify had direct interactions with the president regarding the Biden investigations. That is true, although those who might have firsthand knowledge — acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and lawyer Rudy Giuliani — have either been blocked from testifying by the White House or refused to appear.
But Sondland did have direct conversations with Trump about his demands on Ukraine, although his account has changed since his original testimony.
In his Oct. 17 deposition, Sondland first told House investigators that he was not aware the White House had linked release of aid to Ukraine to investigations of the Bidens. But after the release of testimony by other witnesses that supported the scenario Democrats describe, Sondland revised his testimony on Nov. 5.
“I presumed that the aid suspension had become linked to the proposed anticorruption statement,” Sondland said in his written addendum. Sondland also described telling an aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the “resumption of U.S. aid would likely not occur until Ukraine provided the public anticorruption statement that we have been discussing for many weeks.”
Other witnesses have added more detail about Sondland’s direct dealings with Trump. David Holmes, a U.S. Embassy official in Kyiv who is set to testify Thursday, said in his closed-door deposition on Friday that he overheard Sondland and Trump on a cellphone call discussing the plan to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.
JAMES SAYS: AUX CONTRAIRE. It is going after Trump on something else while CONTINUING to go after him on the Ukrainian impeachment narrative.
Jesus Christ James... the general public doesn't have the attention span to pay attention to the impeachment... you really think they can pay attention to two things?
So while the lying "pastor" doesn't like twitter it can be a much more substantive source than his constant use of political_liar (or is it political_lire?)
WASHINGTON POST reports: David Holmes, a senior political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, testified that Ukrainian officials “came to understand what was required” in order to get military assistance and a meeting with President Trump. ________
CNN reports: “Several Republican lawmakers were more ‘shaken’ than they publicly let on by the testimony of David Holmes, a US official in Kiev who overheard a phone conversation between the US ambassador to the European Union and President Trump.
“Holmes — who will testify publicly as part of the House impeachment inquiry — said in closed-door testimony last week that US Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland had told Trump that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ‘loves your ass’ and that Ukraine WAS GOING TO MOVE FORWARD with the investigation TRUMP HAD ASKED ZELENSKY FOR A DAY EARLIER.
“According to the GOP congressional source, that testimony led several GOP lawmakers present to express frustration that Sondland would place a call to the President IN A PUBLIC RESTAURANT, and are concerned that HOLMES’ TESTIMONY WAS THE MOST CONVINCING ARGUMENT for Trump’s DIRECT INVOLVEMENT in the campaign to pressure Ukraine.” _____________
You don't have an attention span either, because no matter how many times he lies about everything, you go back to the deep state conspiracy theories that are a fucking lie.
BREAKING: NSC officials attempted to remove Alex Vindman due to security concerns but were blocked by an Obama holdover, an official in the White House who still controls human resource management inside the NSC, an African-American woman closely tied to the Obama family
NSC officials restricted access to foreign call records out of concern they could be leaked by Vindman, who opposed Trump's foreign policy and who had been accused of leaking in prior instances
"...several GOP lawmakers are concerned that Holmes' testimony is THE MOST CONVINCING ARGUMENT for Trump’s DIRECT INVOLVEMENT in the campaign to pressure Ukraine.”
SO Trump MAY AS WELL STOP LYING. BUT HE WON'T. HE WON'T, I'M GLAD TO SAY.
So we have multiple people on record stating that they asked President Trump if military aid was tied to investigations, and President Trump vehemently denying it. To this date no one has given any evidence to prove that President Trump ever tied the two together. It's a hoax. thread: https://twitter.com/Shem_Infinite/status/1196614709291683840
Of course Schiff will parade people with second-hand opinions or who had their feelings hurt "testify" and hide anyone who will dispute.
AOC has just announce that due to Eric Swalwell’s thunderous fart - planet Earth now has only 8 years before it explodes into hellfire and ash from global warming.
Washington — The House released the transcript Monday from the closed-door testimony of David Holmes, a State Department official who overheard a recently revealed call that has become key to the impeachment inquiry against President Trump. Holmes will testify later this week.
In his opening statement, Holmes said he overheard Mr. Trump ask a top diplomat about the status of "investigations" into his political rivals on July 26 — one day after his now-infamous July 25 call with the president of Ukraine.
The existence of this July 26 call was revealed last week by William Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine who testified in public on Tuesday. Holmes, who is Taylor's aide, corroborated Taylor's account. It provides further support for the accusation that Mr. Trump committed a politically charged quid pro quo and withheld U.S. aid from Ukraine to pressure the foreign country to launch investigations that could help his reelection campaign.
"I've never seen anything like this, someone calling the president from a mobile phone at a restaurant, and then having a conversation of this level of candor, colorful language. There's just so much about the call that was so remarkable that I remember it vividly," Holmes testified on Capitol Hill behind closed doors last week.
Holmes said he was sitting near Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, at a restaurant in Kiev and could hear him speaking to Mr. Trump, who said, "So, he's gonna do the investigation?" referring to Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky. Holmes testified that Sondland replied, "He's gonna do it" and added that Zelensky would do "anything you ask him to."
Holmes testified that the call was also unusual because such a call with the president would generally take place in a more secure setting, not on a cell phone. He noted that at least two of the three mobile networks in Ukraine are owned by Russian companies, and the U.S. generally assumes mobile communications in Ukraine are being monitored.
Holmes recalled that Sondland later told him that "the president did not 'give a s**t about Ukraine.'" According to Holmes, Sondland said that only "big stuff matters" to the president, "like this Biden investigation that Giuliani is pushing."
There is no evidence to support the claims by Mr. Trump and his Republican allies that Joe or Hunter Biden engaged in corruption in Ukraine. While Joe Biden was vice president, his son Hunter was hired by a Ukrainian gas company.
Holmes also testified that Marie Yovanovitch, the former ambassador to Ukraine who testified last week, was as good at fighting corruption as anyone known for that, and said the smear campaign against her was obvious.
No wonder the Republicans on the committee who heard this were upset.
CNN reports: “Several Republican lawmakers were more ‘shaken’ than they publicly let on...
According to the GOP CONGRESSIONAL SOURCE (NOT THE MEDIA! NOT THE DEMOCRATS!), Holmes' testimony led several GOP lawmakers present to express frustration that Sondland would place a call to the President in a public restaurant and are concerned that HOLMES’ TESTIMONY IS THE MOST CONVINCING ARGUMENT for Trump’s DIRECT INVOLVEMENT in the attempt to pressure Ukraine that has come to light so far.
The Call from Trump Was Likely Heard by Russians November 18, 2019 at 11:00 pm EST
President Trump’s call to the cell phone of a U.S. ambassador — a call that included a discussion of “investigations” Trump was asking Ukraine to launch into his Democratic rivals — was at risk of being monitored by Russia, State Department official David Holmes told House impeachment investigators, Politico reports.
Said Holmes: “We generally assume that mobile communications in Ukraine are being monitored.”
"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Monday that the U.S. had reversed the policy of Presidents Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, who declared Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”) illegal."
"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Monday that the U.S. had reversed the policy of Presidents Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, who declared Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”) illegal."
After Marie Yovanovitch hurt Democrats' impeachment drive, Adam Schiff's squad held another SECRET hearing & selectively leaked a statement from State Dept bureaucrat David Holmes.
While media spreads Holmes' selective narrative, Americans can't see his answers to key questions.
The impeachment inquiry has created the first rift between President Trump and one of his closest allies, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, according to four current and former senior administration officials.
Trump has fumed for weeks that Pompeo is responsible for hiring State Department officials whose congressional testimony threatens to bring down his presidency, the officials said.
Inside the White House, the view was that Trump “just felt like, ‘rein your people in,’” a senior administration official said.
Trump fans call Trump a “tough guy” willing to challenge the “establishment”... So why is it that he is scared shitless of sitting in a witness chair and testifying under oath? ...even Hillary did it for eleven hours!!!.? Geez... out done by a woman... Again!

Schiff controls who testifies.
Schiff controls how Republicans use our question time.
Schiff controls what gets released from his secret depositions.
Schiff shuts out witnesses who would contradict his one-sided narrative.
This is what Pelosi is calling fair? It's a sham.
Now that's the real truth.

Pelosi invites Trump to testify as new witnesses prepare
The Associated Press
U.S. Officials Knew of Ukraine’s Trump Anxiety
November 18, 2019 at 10:29 am EST

True, and they still haven't released all their transcripts (from my understanding) and Schiff continues to blatantly lie since he is not under oath and can say whatever he wants to push his false narrative.
Shameful.
The fact that Pelosi wants Trump to testify and is now publicly calling for it is called a "change in strategy".
If things were going as well as some of you believe they are, why are the President's approvals going up, and why is Pelosi trying to change strategies again?

Ch, just try removing the ridiculous PLUS one of the Rasmussen from the polling averages and see what happens.
That's what I did.:-)
You're welcome.
OH DEAR. AND NOW THIS
Kurt Volker Appears to Have Lied to Congress
November 18, 2019 at 10:19 am EST
Ryan Goodman:
“Ambassador Kurt Volker faces a serious credibility problem for having denied knowledge or involvement in President Trump and Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to press Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden.
Sure James...
Remove the only pollster who is polling "likely voters" because you don't like it...
But here is what you are suggesting.
If you remove the top poll, then his averages is lower?
But if I were to remove the "bottom" poll from the list, then his average is higher.
So why don't we leave all of the polls that RCP averages and look at whether he is going up or going down?
and there is this:

Trump’s GRAVEST Abuse of Power
November 18, 2019 at 9:55 am EST
OMG! OMG!
Jonathan Chait:
“The saga of President Trump’s reprisals against Amazon has lurked on the margin of the news, largely overshadowed by the Ukraine scandal.
The scale of the abuse, though, is far more SERIOUS, because it is a CONCRETE manifestation of Trump’s authoritarian ambitions.”
___________
And he should allow all those around him to come to the committee and testify under oath.”
— Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), quoted by Reuters, echoing Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation for Trump to testify.
We get it James!
Democrats need to shake it up. They are obviously "flailing" right now on the impeachment front, with the only saving grace that nobody is watching it.
and they are now in danger of nominating the person who lines up worst against Trump (Buttigieg) in all state and general election polling!
Go Pete!
UNDER PENALTY OF LAW

Folks, impeachment hearings are an attack on Trump by both parties.
Who hired Fiona Hill? Who let Eric Whistleblower into the WH? Who hired Jennifer Williams?
The ANONYMOUS book: released to coincide with hearings.
Lots of State Dept staff involved.
Lots of coordination.

Jeeez you're stupid and boring old man
But James...
Are you arguing that only people on the GOP can be punished for lying to Congress. After all, Yovanovitch contradicted her own testimony under oath. She answered one way when questioned by Democrats, then changed her tune and answered another way when she was confronted by evidence of her lie?
WHAT HAS HE GOT TO HIDE?
Exactly James!
We both agree that Hunter Biden should testify!
The House of Representatives is now investigating whether President Trump lied to special counsel Robert Mueller in written answers he provided in the Russia investigation, the House's general counsel said in federal court Monday. https://t.co/S653QqZ4zg
If true, it is a felony.
Well, Ch, let both Trump and Hunter testify.
And by the way, I am aware of no contradictions in Yavanovich's testimony. Please state clearly specifically what they were, without a lot of your usual bombast and dancing around.

Democrat US House Member that IS voting NO.
*Trump told Mueller in written answers included in the special counsel's report that he did not recall discussing WikiLeaks with Stone.
"What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"
James:
In her opening statement, Yovanovitch said:
The Democratic desperation is almost amusing.
They know they cannot beat him next November!
They do some have given it as the reason they must Impeach him
about her testimony under oath.

CH UNTRUTH SAYS
In her opening statement, Yovanovitch said:
"although I have met former vice president Joe Biden several times over the course of our many years in government service, neither he nor the previous administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me."
CH SAYS:
It was proven to be a lie when Stefanik got her to admit that not only had it been raised, but it was actually raised to her before she was even confirmed. She literally went through a whole mock Q&A about Burisma and Hunter for her confirmation hearing, because the Administration was worried that questions about those conflicts (as it pertained to Hunter and Burisma) might be raised during the hearing.
Stefanik:
“The first time that you personally became aware of Burisma was actually when you were being prepared by the Obama State Department for your Senate confirmation hearings and this was in the form of practice questions and answers. This was your deposition. And you testified that in this particular practice Q&A with the Obama State Department, it wasn’t just generally about Burisma and corruption, it was specifically about Hunter Biden and Burisma. Is that correct?”
Yovanovitch: “Yes, it is.”
Stefanik: “And the exact quote from your testimony is, “The way the question was phrased in this model Q&A was, ‘what can you tell us about Hunter Biden being named to the board of Burisma?’” So for the millions of Americans watching, President Obama’s own State Department was so concerned about potential conflicts of interest from Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma that they raised it themselves while prepping this wonderful ambassador nominee before her confirmation and yet our Democratic colleagues and the Chairman of this committee cry foul when we dare ask that same question that the Obama State Department was so concerned about.”
_______________
This seems like it could be a contradiction from what she said earlier:
“although I have met former Vice President Biden several times over the course of our many years in government service, neither he nor the previous administration ever raised the issue of either Burisma or Hunter Biden with me.”
_______________________
Ratcliffe: I’d like to ask you about your earlier testimony about your Senate confirmation and congresswoman
Stefanik had asked you how the Obama-Biden State Department had prepared you to answer questions about Burisma and Hunter Biden specifically.
Yovanovitch: Yes.

David Holmes, Registered Democrat.
Registered Democrat? Prove it.
MEANWHILE
Transcript:
NPR's Ailsa Chang talks with Ambassador Dan Feldman, who knew impeachment witness David Holmes from 2007-2015. He respected Holmes even after Holmes filed a constructive dissent against his office.
AILSA CHANG, HOST:
And for more on that aide that we just heard Michele Kelemen mention - his name is David Holmes.
(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING)
WILLIAM TAYLOR: In the presence of my staff, at a restaurant, Ambassador Sondland called President Trump and told him of his meetings in Kyiv.

QUITE A WEEK AHEAD.

Did you not vet him ?

Hell, Dirty Denny said it was me.🤣
As the public hearing phase of the impeachment inquiry of President Trump enters its second week, the House Intelligence Committee is set to hear testimony from eight witnesses.
Firsthand information
A key Republican talking point used to defend Trump has been that none of the witnesses to publicly testify had direct interactions with the president regarding the Biden investigations.
Embassy official in Kyiv who is set to testify Thursday, said in his closed-door deposition on Friday that he overheard Sondland and Trump on a cellphone call discussing the plan to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.
the POS "pastor" said "Dear Reader"
ROFLMFAO !!!
EVEN YOU DON'T READ THE SHIT YOU CONSTANTLY COPY/PASTE from POLITICAL_LIAR
But hey did you see Buttigieg is polling at zero percent in South Carolina among blacks?
Hard to see him as the final nominee !!!
GREAT NEWS, right ?
JAMES SAYS:
AUX CONTRAIRE. It is going after Trump on something else while CONTINUING to go after him on the Ukrainian impeachment narrative.
Jesus Christ James... the general public doesn't have the attention span to pay attention to the impeachment... you really think they can pay attention to two things?
But hey did you see Buttigieg is polling at zero percent in South Carolina among blacks?
Nah, Buttplug has huge black support in S.C.
And I see the "pastor's" response to Yovanovitch's lie was another extended deflection, trying to hide her obvious lie.
She even admitted to her opening statement perjury and you can hear it from her own lying lips:
https://twitter.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1195446982988455938
So while the lying "pastor" doesn't like twitter it can be a much more substantive source than his constant use of political_liar (or is it political_lire?)
WASHINGTON POST reports:
David Holmes, a senior political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, testified that Ukrainian officials “came to understand what was required” in order to get military assistance and a meeting with President Trump.
________
CNN reports:
“Several Republican lawmakers were more ‘shaken’ than they publicly let on by the testimony of David Holmes, a US official in Kiev who overheard a phone conversation between the US ambassador to the European Union and President Trump.
“According to the GOP congressional source, that testimony led several GOP lawmakers present to express frustration that Sondland would place a call to the President IN A PUBLIC RESTAURANT, and are concerned that HOLMES’ TESTIMONY WAS THE MOST CONVINCING ARGUMENT for Trump’s DIRECT INVOLVEMENT in the campaign to pressure Ukraine.”
_____________
Chickens coming home to roost, eh?
You don't have an attention span either, because no matter how many times he lies about everything, you go back to the deep state conspiracy theories that are a fucking lie.
Democrat David Holmes , he "testified" where?

SO Trump MAY AS WELL STOP LYING.
BUT HE WON'T.
HE WON'T, I'M GLAD TO SAY.

1) So. Everyone. I had a bit of a realization on my end, and double checked and gathered some facts to make sure I knew WTF I was talking about.

@Shem_Infinite
So we have multiple people on record stating that they asked President Trump if military aid was tied to investigations, and President Trump vehemently denying it. To this date no one has given any evidence to prove that President Trump ever tied the two together. It's a hoax.

FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T KEEP UP====
Washington — The House released the transcript Monday from the closed-door testimony of David Holmes, a State Department official who overheard a recently revealed call that has become key to the impeachment inquiry against President Trump.

The Call from Trump Was Likely Heard by Russians

President Trump’s call to the cell phone of a U.S. ambassador — a call that included a discussion of “investigations” Trump was asking Ukraine to launch into his Democratic rivals — was at risk of being monitored by Russia, State Department official David Holmes told House impeachment investigators, Politico reports.
Said Holmes: “We generally assume that mobile communications in Ukraine are being monitored.”
OH IT IS INDEED GOING TO GET "VERY INTERESTING" WITH THE NINE PUBLIC TESTIMONIES THIS WEEK!

@TrumpWarRoom
Again!
Other than setting a bad Constitutional precedent?
Sitting presidents do not go on the hill to answer Congress's questions. This is not Great Britain with prime minister question time.
I have no first hand knowledge of Trump calls or foreign said being held.
95% of the country does not find this compelling...or impeachable
