The transcript of George Kent’s testimony before the impeachment inquiry panel was released on Thursday. Kent was the former charge d’affair at the U.S. embassy in Ukraine. He told the committee that “the State Department’s main foreign aid agency, known as USAID, planned to co-sponsor a clean energy project with Burisma.”
So there was money on the line for a Ukrainian company where two major American players were involved, including Hunter Biden. George Kent (and others) attempted to intervene based on the idea that Burisma was corrupt and had been under investigation for said corruption. There apparently was an effort for Burisma to help cosponsor, I guess, a contest that USAID was sponsoring related to clean energy. And when I heard about it I asked USAID to stop that sponsorship. Burisma had a poor reputation in the business, and I didn’t think it was appropriate for the U.S. Government to be co-sponsoring something with a company that had a bad reputation.
This prompted a response from "certain people" who wondered who and why people within the United States were attempting to block this agreement between our Government and Burisma holdings.
So what we are seeing is a little bit of pressure being put on certain people to undermine the idea that Burisma was corrupt and under investigation in Ukraine. All so that the United States could partner with a foreign company with two "high profile" Americans affiliated (which would be very lucrative to both the company and the Americans). The term "high profile Americans" and the specific name drop of Hunter Biden is significant.
The timing of this (interestingly enough) corresponds to Joe Biden demanding that Ukrainian aid (Congressionally approved aid as Democrats would suggest) would be withheld if the prosecutor (who happened to be investigating Burisma according to sworn testimony and records) wasn't fired. Firing the prosecutor (and then demanding that Burisma was clean) would pave the way for the deal to go through...
Sounds like someone should be investigating this, huh?

The President tried to bribe the President of Ukraine. It's pure politically motivated point of view.
The investigation is not a partisan process. The Constitution granted the house to check the President's actions.

Democrats Prep for Public Impeachment Hearings
November 10, 2019 at 7:55 pm EST
“Three key witnesses in the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry will testify this week in a series of nationally televised hearings that Democrats are hoping will shock Americans enough to convince them that President Trump must be removed from office,” Axios reports.
“This public phase of impeachment is arguably the most important part of Democrats’ efforts so far, as public sentiment will determine how this plays out.
“First up on Wednesday is the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine Bill Taylor, whose explosive closed-door testimony last month has been described by many Democrats as the most damaging to Trump. State Department official George Kent will also appear on Wednesday. The committee will interview former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch on Friday.”
Axios: “Republicans plan to unleash their top attack dogs — including Rep. Jim Jordan, who was just made a member of the committee on Friday, and his general counsel Steve Castor, who will lead their interrogation.”
______________
There's just one little problem with attacking people who really are innocent. For the most part, the attacking just makes that clearer.
This is not normal.
"Forty-four percent of the country, however, says that presidents pressure other countries to investigate their domestic political rivals all the time. That belief, at least right now, is heavily concentrated among Republicans — almost two-thirds of Republicans see Trump’s behavior as typical political maneuvering."
Well, well, well...
Trump Aides Fear John Bolton’s Secret Notes
November 10, 2019 at 7:58 pm EST
Jonathan Swan:
“John Bolton is the impeachment inquiry’s biggest wildcard. People around the president say they are worried about what notes Trump’s former national security adviser has kept and when he might divulge them.
“These sources, including both current and former senior administration officials, tell me that the former national security adviser was the most prolific note-taker at the top level of the White House and probably has more details than any impeachment inquiry witness, so far, about President Trump’s machinations on Ukraine.”
My my, My my, My my.
Public hearings so long as they get to choose the witnesses.
More unnamed sources. Deep staters no doubt.
Deep state is very worried, and they should be.
Dictators around the world say the same damn things that President Trump says. The only difference is this President has is going to resign.
LA PAZ, Bolivia — Bolivian President Evo Morales said Sunday that he would resign after the military called on him to step down and allies tumbled away amid a fierce backlash over a disputed election that has roiled the South American nation.
Morales, the country's leader for nearly 14 years, said in televised comments that he would submit his resignation letter to help restore stability, although he aimed barbs at what he called a "civic coup."
You must mean "I won". They all say that. Tight bsrack6 Hussein?
This explains why this President asshole has been behaving!
When Trump was working for his father, he gained a mentor, Roy Cohn, lawyer to McCarthy and his Red Scare Congressional Committee. People’s lives were ruined for nothing more than being acquainted with a person called to testify at McCarthy’s fact-finding committee meetings. People were told life would go easier on them if they named others they knew to be communists. So, a lot of people gave up names of people they knew were not communists, but felt they had no choice.
Cohn returned to New York after the McCarthy Era ended. He had a lot of colorful stories about rooting out communists in the government and Hollywood. He bragged about how tough he was-he always hit back ten times harder when attacked. Sound familiar? Trump absorbed these lies and hired Cohn to be an attack dog in court and out. Cohn would call and threaten people on Trump’s behalf, tie up creditors in court until they ran out of money to fight and help cover up Trump’s misbehavior.
One of Cohn’s traits was his rude, abrasive personality. As a near superhero in Trump’s eyes, it makes perfect sense that he picked up some of the Cohn tactics and personality quirks. Trump uses rude and abrasive when he believes it will help or impress, and manipulative or cajoling if it isn’t right for the situation.
Roy Cohn was gay, but able to hide his sexuality until he contracted AIDS. In textbook Cohn behavior, upon learning his mentor and best friend was dying of AIDS, Trump cut him out of his life completely and forever.
Senator Lindsey Graham should come out.
Enge bsrack6 Hussein?

Sunday night Massacre?
On Sunday, National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien said Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who gave a bombshell testimony in the House impeachment investigation last month on President Donald Trump’s Ukraine scheme, will be removed from his post at the White House National Security Council.
“Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, who has testified under oath, is serving on the National Security Council currently,” CBS News’s “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan said during her interview with O’Brien. “Will he continue to work for you despite testifying against the President?”

Roger, you're making a big mistake posting statements of alcoholism like that to me. Of the two of us, I'm not the one fighting that disease. And yet, in all the years posting, you have not once seen me call you alky. Correct? I've seen good people ruined by it. So don't be so damned crass in what you say.
The Minnesota Vikings beat the Dallas cowboys in a great game!
Ok, but tell the rrb to quit saying that. My name is Roger and I am an alcoholic.
I have been sober since June 25th of 2012.
One day at a time.
Dear Roger,
I know you haven't been hearing as much from me lately. But next week is a big week, and I wanted to send you a short note on where we are.
For the last month, my colleagues and I have been engaged in an intense investigation.
Twelve hour-long depositions and interviews, 3 or 4 days a week. Late nights and early mornings. And of course the backdrop is constant attacks by the President, his allies and his acolytes.
The truth is we've made tremendous progress as we seek to uncover the full extent of the President's misconduct, despite the efforts to obstruct us at every turn. And now the American people are beginning to see our work through the transcripts we've released.
Next week, we begin the next phase.
Next week, the American people will hear for themselves from dedicated public servants with direct knowledge of the president's efforts to press Ukraine to investigate his political opponents.
The men and women who will testify have spent decades serving their country. They've served presidents of both parties faithfully, advancing America’s interests around the world. And they will describe, as they did in their closed door testimony, the way in which the president’s personal and political interests were put first.
As the American people watch, as you watch, I hope they will keep in mind that these men and women are demonstrating incredible courage and patriotism by coming forward. They did not seek out the limelight or bright lights of a congressional hearing room, but when called upon, they have done their nation yet another service.
That spirit of service and patriotism is what inspires me, and what is at the forefront of my mind on the cusp of the momentous days to come.
I’m buoyed by the knowledge that you and so many others are with me in our fight to put our nation and our democracy first.
Talk to you soon,
Adam Schiff
@joelpollak
Rather interesting that with just 2 days to go before public hearings begin, @RepAdamSchiff has not released the testimony from Tim Morrison, the former NSC official who told Democrats (much to their dismay) that Trump did nothing illegal. Nor have they approved him as a witness.

Vindman Testified that He Thought President's Policy Was Wrong So He Advised Ukrainians to Ignore Trump request
Who put him in charge? treason?
treason indeed.
there used to be penalties for treason. now we reward that behavior with feature articles in the ny times fawning over the traitors.
hang him from the neck until dead. in his full dress military uniform of course.
There is, though, a statute that protects federal whistleblowers. Whether we like it or not, the bureaucrat who blew the whistle on Trump is entitled to whatever protection that statute provides.
Fortunately, it provides him none. The fellow who blew the whistle on Trump is not a whistleblower in the statutory sense. To quote Andy McCarthy:
"Under [the relevant federal] statute, protected status is given to an official who reports on intelligence activities within the jurisdiction of the director of national intelligence. The statute does not apply to the president’s conducting of foreign policy, including his communications with foreign heads of state."
Here, the bureaucrat was blowing the whistle on President Trump’s Ukraine foreign policy, not on intelligence activities.
Moreover, even if this bureaucrat were a whistleblower within the meaning of the statute, he would not be protected from having his name disclosed by anyone other than the inspector general of the intelligence community. The statute does not bind other government officials, members of Congress, the media, or the public. The point of the law, McCarthy explains, “is to shield whistleblowers from reprisals (being fired, demoted, denied promotion, transferred to Anchorage, etc.), not from public identification.”
Thus, there is no reason, either in statute or in common sense, why the “whistleblower” whose report triggered the current impeachment process should not be publicly identified and examined. Reportedly, the whistleblower is Eric Ciaramella.

not fired. simply removed from the NSC.
a smart move. the dumb fuck testified that 0linsky sent javelin missiles to ukraine.
the first javelin's weren't shipped to ukraine until 2019.
so not only is he a traitor, he's also an imbecile like you alky.
It was kind of big news when Russian puppet Donald Trump broke with the Obama administration and announced in Dec. 2017 the United States would sell lethal arms to the Ukrainian government, which is engaged in conflict with pro-Russian separatists. The Hill reported at the time that “the move from the White House is a departure from the Obama administration, which frequently condemned Russian aggression in the Ukraine but refused to approve the sale of arms to the country’s Western-aligned government.”
So The Washington Examiner’s Byron York found it odd while going through interview transcripts that witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, “top Ukraine guy at NSC,” testified that the Obama administration had transferred “a fairly significant number” of Javelin anti-tank missile systems to Ukraine … at the prompting of Chairman Adam Schiff.
https://twitchy.com/brettt-3136/2019/11/09/lt-col-alexander-vindman-remembers-the-previous-administration-transferring-a-fairly-significant-number-of-javelins-to-ukraine/
huh. "top ukraine guy at NSC" fucks up a major detail like when we first shipped lethal aid to ukraine.
yet it's trump who's "subverting US foreign policy."
this "impeachment inquiry" needs to be conducted with the theme music to the benny hill show and a laugh track.
vindman: “I’m the director for Ukraine. I’m responsible. I’m the most knowledgeable. I’m the authority for Ukraine. I understand all of the nuances....”

Longtime Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) announced Monday that he will not seek reelection next year.
King said in a statement on Facebook that “after 28 years of spending 4 days a week in Washington, D.C., it is time to end the weekly commute and be home in Seaford."
"This was not an easy decision. But there is a season for everything and Rosemary and I decided that, especially since we are both in good health, it is time to have the flexibility to spend more time with our children and grandchildren," he added. "My daughter’s recent move to North Carolina certainly accelerated my thinking."
Republicans are hoping to redirect the spotlight onto Mr. Biden and his son Hunter.
Because the "perfect phone call" is an impeachable offense.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Even in a White House of never-befores, this may be one of the more head-spinning: The president’s chief of staff is trying to join a lawsuit against the president.
Mick Mulvaney works only about 50 steps from the Oval Office as he runs the White House staff but rather than simply obey President Trump’s order to not cooperate with House impeachment investigators, he sent his lawyers to court late Friday night asking a judge whether he should or not.
To obtain such a ruling, the lawyers asked to join a lawsuit already filed by a former White House official — a lawsuit that names “the Honorable Donald J. Trump” as a defendant along with congressional leaders. The lawyers tried to finesse that by saying in the body of their motion that the defendants they really wanted to sue were the congressional leaders, but their own motion still listed Mr. Trump at the top as a defendant because that is the suit they sought to join.
In effect, Mr. Mulvaney hopes the court will tell him whether to listen to his own boss, who wants him to remain silent, or to comply with a subpoena from the House, which wants his testimony. That put Mr. Mulvaney at odds with some other current White House and administration officials who had simply defied the House, citing the president’s order not to cooperate with what he called an illegitimate “witch hunt.”

Well son of a gun, the prosecutor got fired!
Respected journalist Bill Moyers said Sunday that for the first time “in my long life” — including the Depression and World War II — he fears for the nation’s survival.
A “society, a democracy, can die of too many lies — and we’re getting close to that terminal moment unless we reverse the obsession with lies that are being fed around the country,” Moyers told Brian Stelter on CNN.
Distraction from the formerly esteemed host.
This isn't about Biden and his request to get rid of the corrupt government official in Ukraine as part of the foreign policy of the Obama administration!
The prosecutor was a criminal and corrupt prosecutor. Ironically like Bull Barr!
Who has declined to comment about the President and the phone call.
You have become such a loser.
The prosecutor who succeeded the corrupt prosecutor, found no dirt on Biden or his son.
Trump's Chief of staff has filed a lawsuit against Trump.
Trump has ordered him to disobey the subpoena.
Trump has been getting upset about Mulvaney.
When he testifies in public about the President, could be very interesting.
Moyers told Brian Stelter on CNN.
And 11 people were watching at the time!
We're not going to give you the billion dollars!
He said "you have no authority"
I'm tell you, your not getting the billions dollars!
I'm leaving in 6 hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, your not getting the money!
Well son of a $%^&, the prosecutor got fired!
When conduct foreign policy, we often try to help the other countries to clean up corruption.
Well son of a gun, the prosecutor got fired!
He was very corrupt. We helped a nation that was a part of the Soviet Union to create a new and democratic republic.
Start of a new week, should be quite entertaining.
Funny to see roger and Biden think the entire Ukrainian corruption was by a single prosecutor who just happened to be looking into a shady deal with his son. And amazing how the US government aided the company he went to work after he was hired. Quite a stroke of luck, kind of like Hillary and her commodity trading. Or her contributions to her foundation when she was Secretary of State. Not a hint of corruption. Settled. What difference does it make.
Well we are going to be in much more interesting times, wonder who will be left standing on the left. And who will be caught in criminal prosecutions and if it will go all the way to the top of the previous administration
Pretty silent on what's happening with the James Baker flip...
I think that Mulvaney wants to testify.
Some people don't actually agree with me!
We will see.
Laurence Tribe, a constitutional law expert at Harvard Law School, said Mulvaney’s last-minute move could be an attempt to give himself legal cover to put off the House demand. By attaching himself to the Kupperman case, Mulvaney could avoid having to testify in the House inquiry for months if the suit is appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.
The Fake New York Times
When conduct foreign policy, we often try to help the other countries to clean up corruption.
Exactly what President Trump is doing...
Asking Ukraine to clean up their corruption!
But... of course, he's the bad orange man so when he does it, it's illegal!
But this is perfectly legal extortion because a Democrat did it!
We're not going to give you the billion dollars!
He said "you have no authority"
I'm tell you, your not getting the billions dollars!
I'm leaving in 6 hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, your not getting the money!

Using Crooked Hillary Clinton and Biden are attempts to distract the public's attention in the Social media era.
No, he was not trying to "Asking Ukraine to clean up their corruption!"!!!
He was trying to get dirt on Biden!
You have lost your mind Scott!
The President: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike. I guess you have one of your wealthy people. The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation I think you re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you said yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it's very important that you do it if that's possible.

He was trying to get dirt on Biden!
Do you have a quote from the President claiming as such?
You know... something on video?
Like this:
We're not going to give you the billion dollars!
He said "you have no authority"
I'm tell you, your not getting the billions dollars!
I'm leaving in 6 hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, your not getting the money!
Well son of a $%^&, the prosecutor got fired!
Can you provide what the President said and to who he said it to?
Not a second hand story... but his actual quote asking Zelensky to "dig up dirt" on Biden?
President Zelensky: Yes it is very important for me and everything that you just mentioned earlier. For me as a President, it is very important and we are open for any future cooperation. We are ready to open a new page on cooperation in relations between the United States and Ukraine. For that purpose, I just recalled our ambassador from United States and he will be replaced by a very competent and very experienced ambassador who will work hard on making sure that our two nations are getting closer. I would also like and hope to see him having your trust and your confidence and have personal relations with you so we can cooperate even more so I will personally tell you that one of my assistants spoke with Mr. Giuliani just recently and we are hoping very much that Mr. Giuliani will be able to travel to Ukraine and we will meet once he comes to Ukraine. I just wanted to assure you once again that you have nobody but friends around us. I will make sure that I surround myself with the best and most experienced people. I also· wanted to tell you that we are friends. We are great friends and you Mr. President have friends in our country so we can continue our strategic
partnership. I also plan to surround myself with great people and in addition to that investigation, I guarantee as the President of Ukraine that all the investigations will be done openly and candidly. That I can assure you.
The President: Good because I heard you had a prosecutor who was very·good and he was shut down and that's really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what's happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that. The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it. It sounds horrible to me.
Schiff and dems and MSM said this what was said "We've been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don't see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though. And I'm going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it. On this and on that."
pretty easy to see who is lying, and keeps repeating, BIG LIES
