I suppose you are saying that "they" --some of the managers?-- may have been at some time been opposed to supplying such aid. Even if that is true, it does not negate the fact that it had become our national policy and in our national interest to defend a Ukraine which wanted to move further and further away from Russian domination toward the freedom offered by the West and the EU (a desire which Putin hated and opposed).
Because the "they" who really matter --the Ukrainians themselves-- always wanted that aid and desperately needed it in their resistance to Russian aggression.

Republicans have repeatedly argued that the impeachment evidence against President Trump is thin. They’ve said it is based upon “hearsay” that wasn’t corroborated by people more intimately involved with the Ukraine effort (whose testimony the White House has blocked). They’ve suggested, despite numerous witnesses testifying to similar things, that the witnesses weren’t credible and that they might have axes to grind.
But on Thursday, with House Democrats playing video of those witnesses’ testimonies during Trump’s impeachment trial, a Republican senator launched her own thinly sourced attack on one of those witnesses.
And then Trump retweeted it.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who along with every other senator serves as a juror in the impeachment trial, took to Twitter and impugned the patriotism of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.

Blackburn referred to an allegation that Vindman had badmouthed the United States in a conversation with Russians while serving overseas.
“Adam Schiff is hailing Alexander Vindman as an American patriot,” Blackburn said. “How patriotic is it to badmouth and ridicule our great nation in front of Russia, America’s greatest enemy?”
Trump then retweeted the allegation Friday morning.
The problem with this very severe allegation — made against a Purple Heart recipient who served in Iraq, no less — is that it’s anything but verified. It was made on Twitter in November by someone who said they had served with Vindman. Another person later launched a Twitter account confirming it. The New York Times reported that the originator of the claim had also trafficked in QAnon conspiracy theories but claimed they didn’t necessarily believe in the movement.

So your argument (Reverend Hypocrite) is if a bill is passed (even based on a partisan vote) that it suddenly becomes "U.S. Policy" and those who originally voted against it, now are now bound to favor it?
Because I can tell you that Democrats fought tooth and nail against many Trump/GOP policies that were passed in the first two years, and it didn't matter to them that it was now law, they still resisted it.
But either way, I find it more than a bit amusing that Democrats could not come up with seven House reps who could be seen as actually voting in favor of this.... since they now argue it to be a matter of our own National Security!

The Democratic House Impeachment managers have done an outstanding job of piecing together a complex story into a cohesive narrative we can understand. If one is truly listening, the actions of Donald Trump, while OUR president, makes one sick, angry and offended as an American citizen.
Yesterday, my father called. I asked him what he thought of the case and how he thought it was landing on the senators? “It’s falling on them all like a ton of bricks,” he said. He said he was listening to the case from the role of having been a US Senator, and then he said “the Republicans are afraid . . . of Trump, but even if they vote against conviction, they know what he has done and they don’t like him.”
Today, he called me again after listening to the impeachment all afternoon. He was holding back tears. “I’m sick to my stomach at what Trump has done,” he said. There was a long pause, then he said “this is our country too . . . .” He choked up, and then said he would call back later.

Of course, in REALITY even the so-called Moderates (Collins and Murkowski) have been anything but impressed. Collins sent a message to Chief Justice Roberts asking him to admonish Nadler, and Murkowski has been literally mocking much of their argument. You got other Senators falling asleep, playing with fidget spinners, and acting bored.
So far, you have not had a SINGLE GOP Senator come out and make any sort of suggestion that they are impressed with the arguments made.
In fact, the chances that this will be voted on without any witnesses is actually much greater than it was three days ago... And Trump hasn't even put of a defense yet!
But hey... that's just what is actually happening in the real world.
