Is Romney signaling the end of his political career?

This is an about face, as people have claimed that Romney gave every indication up until today that he was voting for acquittal. So a bit disappointing for the President (I am sure). The talking point about having a united front (198 House member and 53 Senators) all voting across the board for aquittal would have provided 502 votes against the two articles of impeachment. As it stands, it will end up being 501-1

They don't call him Pierre Dicklito for nothing.

I think he was going to be a one-term Senator to begin with.

Question is, will Utah pass a bill to recall him and would it be constitutional.

He forgot he is not in MA anymore. He's in UT now. Those Mormons will tell him to fuck off. Only in a nice way.

Do the Trump Haters have 67 Senators?

How many Clear thinking Democrats join the Clear thinking Republicans.

It will still end up being 501-1 against the two articles of impeachment (Romney is splitting the vote).

There seems to be "some" consensus that Manchin and Sinema will probably vote against the second article (obstruction of justice), and Manchin has been signally that he would acquit on both counts...

But then again, that's what people thought yesterday about Romney.

Biden.

"Joe Biden says "we took a gut punch" in the Iowa caucuses, but tells New Hampshire voters "we're going to come back."

Suspect is some bad dude named "Corn Pop".

Mitt Romney Will Vote to Convict Trump

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) announced he will vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power, the New York Times reports.

Said Romney: “I think the case was made.”

He added: “I believe that attempting to corrupt an election to maintain power is about as egregious an assault on the Constitution as can be made. And for that reason, it is a high crime and misdemeanor and I have no choice under the oath that I took but to express that conclusion.”

Romney told the Washington Post that his decision to vote to convict the president “the hardest decision” he has ever had to make.

White House Suddenly Cancels Press Availability

CNBC:
“Just as Sen. Romney finished speaking, the White House announced that reporters will now no longer be invited to the Oval Office for the pool spray that was scheduled at 2:15 pm. Reporters were already on the South Lawn and ready to go in when the White House cancelled it.”

The hateful liberals bitching about Rush getting the MOF award can tell us what Gloria Steinem and Jesse Jackson did to win theirs.

Romney is all alone out on that limb.

McConnell is not going to do much about it right away. But if he loses the majority because of him or he increases his majority so the he can safely ignore Romney, then he's going to be one unemployed senator.
