Democrats under age of 45 are almost equally split on the issue!
Well older Democrats overwhelmingly find that digital penetration is not a disqualifier to being President. The under 45 crowd is 40% for dropping him and 42% against it. So they either are more believing of the allegations or they just are not very excited about Slow Joe as their nominee.
Another way to read this poll would be to suggest that only 61% of Democrats definitely want to continue into November with Biden leading the charge (with a teleprompter). We have had issues in the past with a lack of enthusiasm to vote for someone. But right now there is a lack of enthusiasm for even keeping this guy on the ticket.

Dems are in trouble with the younger generation because they are disproportionately hurt by the lockdown. They have lost many jobs, their social life has become that of a shut-in (no parties, clubs, any social gathering of any kind).
Biden is not someone they can really enthusiastically get behind.
Trump is LOVED by his expanding base, much different than in 2016 when many reluctantly voted for him.
Dems now outraged that Trump would start planning ahead to wind down the task Force. It's now clear that they want all tbis to continue. It's no longer about flattening the curve. We've done that.
How sad they are.

Trump Waves the White Flag
May 6, 2020 at 9:32 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
First Read:
“Let’s be blunt about it: President Trump signaled Tuesday that he’s surrendering in the country’s fight against the coronavirus.
“He did that by announcing his administration has begun to wind down its coronavirus taskforce… He also did it by conceding there will be more deaths as a result of the reopening.
“This white flag from Trump comes as the United States is only treading water when it comes to beating back the virus. While the curve of new coronavirus cases has declined in the New York area, it hasn’t elsewhere. It also comes at a when most Americans are willing to stay at home.”
Whoops! Now he bows to pressure and reverses himself.
Trump Now Says Task Force Will Continue Work
May 6, 2020 at 9:58 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
President Trump reversed course and said that the coronavirus task force will keep working “indefinitely,” a day after he and other officials suggested it would be phased out in the coming weeks.
CNBC reports White House staff had signaled to task force officials that a phase-out was forthcoming. Vice President Mike Pence appeared to confirm those reports, suggesting that winding down the task force is “all a reflection of the tremendous progress we’ve made as a country.”
______________
So the President is admitting that it would be dangerous to go too far too fast.
Of course, all he really cares about is-- dangerous to him politically.
Winding down while continuing to work is not some HUGE NEWS.

Winding down is far different that sudden termination. As states increase control, federal control becomes less necessary. It's a gradual shift. As it should be.
Actually, Trump is already laying most of the "control" responsibility or lack of it on the governors so he can blame them if anything goes wrong.

James , can you spot your error or shall I?
State governors demanded that it is they who decide for the states. You recall that? Trump is acknowledging the constitution. If he didn't you'd bash him for that too. Cht wrote a thread on it.
Governors also begged for more aid than what they were getting from a federal government that claimed they were getting all the aid they ever needed. Not true.

A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, “Morning in America”, doing everything possible to....
....get even for all of their many failures. You see, these loser types don’t care about 252 new Federal Judges, 2 great Supreme Court Justices, a rebuilt military, a protected 2nd Amendment, biggest EVER Tax & Regulation cuts, and much more. I didn’t use any of them....
....because they don’t know how to win, and their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe. I don’t know what Kellyanne did to her deranged loser of a husband, Moonface, but it must have been really bad. John Weaver lost big for Kasich (to me). Crazed Rick Wilson....
....lost for Evan “McMuffin” McMullin (to me). Steve Schmidt & Reed Galvin lost for John McCain, Romney’s campaign manager (?) lost big to “O”, & Jennifer Horn got thrown out of the New Hampshire Republican Party. They’re all LOSERS, but Abe Lincoln, Republican, is all smiles!

A piece from the New York Times published Monday showed published letters to the editor regarding a May 2 piece from the editorial board titled "Investigate Tara Reade's Allegations." Reade has accused Biden of sexually assaulting her while she worked as a Senate staffer in the early 1990's.
Martin Tolchin, a co-founder of Politico and The Hill as well as a former member of The Times' Washington bureau, wrote in and admitted that he didn't want an investigation into the allegation. Tolchin wrote that this was simply because it could damage the chance to beat President Donald Trump, adding that he didn't even want justice for Reade if her allegation proved true.
"I totally disagree with this editorial. I don't want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden," Tolchin wrote according to the NYT. "I don't want justice, whatever that may be. I want a win, the removal of Donald Trump from office, and Mr. Biden is our best chance."
...
"Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade or something else, and Mr. Biden loses the nomination to Senator Bernie Sanders or someone else with a minimal chance of defeating Mr. Trump," Tolchin wrote. "Should we really risk the possibility?"

[Mamaroneck, N.Y.—May 6, 2020] A CBS News crew pulled medical professionals off the floor at the Cherry Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to line up in their vehicles so a CBS film crew would have a long line for their COVID-19 coverage.
“Our insider witnessed the whole thing and came to Project Veritas, because he knew we would protect him,” said James O’Keefe, the founder and CEO of Project Veritas.
“The insider told us that medical personnel were taken away from treating patients and making the line longer for actual patients wait for the COVID-19 test,” he said.
In an interview with the insider, O’Keefe asked the insider: “You're telling me you're a hundred percent certain that CBS News, CBS News Corporation--national, staged a fake event. They faked the news. They faked the reality and broadcasted that to all of their audience last Friday on “CBS This Morning.”
The insider said to him: “A hundred percent. Absolutely.”
Nick Ross, a corporate cleaning site supervisor at the Cherry Health facility, said he was there when the CBS News crew arrived and set up the video shoot at the COVID-19 testing site in the parking lot, "Apparently the news crew wanted more people in the line because they knew it was scheduled.”
Maria Hernandez-Vaquez, a professional registration specialist, told the insider that Cherry Health Director of Quality and Informatics Glenda Walker helped to organize the facility’s workers into the COVID-19 testing line.
“It's just annoying cause we could have done other stuff,” said one registered nurse there recorded with a hidden camera by a Project Veritas insider.
The nurse said personnel at the medical center were given the heads-up to expect the CBS News crew. “We knew they were coming. We had no clue that we’re going to have to, like, do fake patients.”
Another registered nurse, Alison Mauro, recorded on hidden camera, said she and other medical professionals working the drive-through testing site did not administer the actual swab swipe as CBS News was filming, but the actual patients were made to wait longer because of the manufactured line. “We pretended. There were a couple of real patients, which made it worse.”
The footage was used to accompany CBS News reporter Andriana Diaz’s narration and interview with Tasha Blackmon, the president and CEO of Cherry Health.
In the CBS News report, Blackmon told her facility needed gowns and N95 masks, which filter incoming breath to protect the medical professional.
Cherry Health President and CEO Tasha Blackmon told Project Veritas in a phone conversation: "We and CBS News had nothing to do with that line."
Blackmon said she had not viewed the preview of the Project Veritas report that had been emailed to her, and that after reviewing the matter with her team, she would give Project Veritas a statement. Project Veritas followed up with phone calls and emails, but there was no further response before the deadline.
Project Veritas also spoke to CBS News President Susan Zirinsky, who agreed to review a preview of the report and send a statement.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A federal judge says the New York Democratic presidential primary must take place June 23 because canceling it would be unconstitutional.
Judge Analisa Torres ruled Tuesday. She heard arguments a day earlier as lawyers for withdrawn presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Andrew Yang argued that it was wrong to cancel the primary.
The judge said there is enough time before the primary occurs to figure out how to carry it out safely.

Biden Widens National Lead Over Trump According to Monmouth Poll
May 6, 2020 at 11:14 am
A new Monmouth poll finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump among registered voters,
50% to 41%
with another 3% saying they would vote for an independent candidate and 5% undecided.
When Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan is added to the mix as a Libertarian candidate,
Biden gets 47%,
Trump gets 40% and
Amash gets 5%.
Said pollster Patrick Murray: “Overall, there is not as much of an appetite for a third option as there was four years ago. It’s too early to tell whether Amash will have an impact but if this election ends up being as close as 2016, even a small showing can have a crucial impact.”
Also interesting: Trump’s favorability rating is now
40% to 53% (minus 13%).

FACT CHECK : TRUE
James you live in Indiana , Correct?
James and his bitch violated the governors shopping guidelines.
Two weeks ago, Gov. Andrew Cuomo was first asked about his policy that forced nursing homes to admit patients infected with the coronavirus.
“That’s a good question, I don’t know,” the governor answered, turning to an aide.
On Tuesday, Cuomo was asked about a report from the Associated Press that his team had added more than 1,700 deaths to the count of those who died in nursing homes, bringing the total to at least 4,813.
“I don’t know the details, frankly,” the governor answered, turning to an aide.
Sgt. Schultz reporting for duty!
Cuomo is legendary for micromanaging and has been praised for his detailed daily briefings during the pandemic. He has closed schools, religious services and businesses because each human life is “priceless.”
So with known nursing home deaths representing 25 percent of all deaths in the state, it beggars belief that the governor didn’t know anything about his office’s fatal policy two weeks ago or the new death totals now.
The only way either could be true is through an extreme case of plausible deniability. Thus, if there’s no proof he knew, he can’t be held responsible, right?
Which was the whole point of the Sgt. Schultz defense.
That was a sitcom. This is life and death.
And if you are the governor of the state that is the national epicenter of the deadly outbreak, you don’t have the luxury of not knowing, or pretending not to know, about the horrendous carnage in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. And if your policies contributed to that carnage, the decent thing to do is to own your mistakes and fix them.

And this is the Lead Person to replace The Serial Molester Creepy Joe.

πThe latest polling from Reuters shows Joe Biden losing all the important advantages he once held against President Trump.π
Cuomo is taxing out of state volunteers that came there to help NY.
He's not only trying to tax them on money they made in New York but also money they made in their home state before they volunteered.
Whatta guy!
The only noteworthy thing coming from the so called "monmouth" poll is the fact that Justin Amash takes more votes from Biden than he does from Trump.
The fact is that this is not the first poll that shows Trump benefiting from Amish being in the race. The idea that a former Republican Trump-basher would be more popular with Republicans with Democrats is something I never quite understood.
That being said, eventually he will drop and be no more or no less of a spoiler than Gary Johnson. I would be surprised if he got the 3% that Johnson got... More likely he gets 1-2 percent as most third Party candidates get.
Now if the Green Party can find someone of substance, then that might hurt Dementia Joe even more. Just 1-2 percent will be a killer!
It may be enough to throw some of the close states to Trump (again)!
Wearing a cloth mask could stop seemingly healthy people from infecting others with coronavirus if they're asymptomatic.

In the race for the stupidest governor, Newsom breaks from the pack
Newsom Rejects LA Times’ Records Request for Chinese Mask Contract, Gives Absurd Reasoning
Awarding a no-bid, $1 billion contract for KN95 masks to a Chinese manufacturer known for shoddy products during a crisis caused by the Chinese government doesn’t create the best optics for a governor, but hiding that contract from both legislators and the public is an even worse look.
As we reported weeks ago, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a $1 billion contract with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD for KN95 masks (the Chinese version of N95 masks) while the legislature was in recess. Under emergency legislation passed just before the Senate and Assembly went home to shelter in place in March, Newsom was given $1 billion total to spend on coronavirus-related items, but the legislature was supposed to be given 72 hours notice on expenditures by Newsom’s advisors. They were not given that heads-up on this contract and, even worse, Newsom wired $600 million to the company before the first mask arrived in California.
Legislators have requested details of the contract from Newsom’s office and from the California Office of Emergency Services, but Cal OES replied that if any details of the contract were to be made public now it could jeopardize the agreement.
The Los Angeles Times requested all documents related to the BYD contract the day after Newsom announced the contract on Rachel Maddow’s show and finally received a response denying the request. The reasoning is curious:
“Cal OES determined all responsive records are exempt from disclosure, including exemptions for records reflecting attorney work product, attorney-client privileged information, or other information exempt from disclosure under federal or state law,” Ryan Gronsky, an attorney with the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, wrote in a letter to The Times.
“Publishing the agreement now — before performance under the contract is complete — would introduce substantial and unnecessary risk to the State’s ability to secure necessary supplies,” Gronsky wrote.
How are they exempt due to attorney work product and attorney-client privilege? That’s ludicrous. Something stinks here.
The first installment of masks arrived in Los Angeles last week, according to the Times, and Cal OES claims that more than 10 million masks have been received under the contract. None of the masks have been put to use in the field, though, because the masks have not yet passed safety approval from the feds. Whether the masks will actually pass safety approval is highly debatable, since millions of KN95 masks that were recently ordered by the Canadian government by an unnamed Chinese company were refused due to poor quality. If these masks are not certified safe to use, Gavin’s gonna have a whole lotta explainin’ to do.
Wearing a cloth mask could stop seemingly healthy people from infecting others with coronavirus if they're asymptomatic.
No, the virus passes quite easily through the cloth it has next to zero effectiveness in spreading the virus. You need a surgical quality mask. All you're doing now is virtue signaling.
