What's going on in Georgia since they reopened!

https://dph.georgia.gov/covid-19-daily-status-report

As we can see by the official Georgia Covid-19 website, the number of cases and deaths have dropped dramatically over the past few days. Now, this may or may not continue. But it certainly is closer to proving Georgia right than it is proving Georgia wrong. After one day of increases (which would have been retroactive from prior to the state reopening) things have settled down.

Of course, it didn't stop the crazies (you know who they are) from demanding that one bad number was proof positive that Georgia was making a terminally foolish mistake that would cost millions of lives and trillions of dollars! These crazies continue to root against Americans and root for Covid-19 to take as many lives as it can and will always underplay our success (while they suck on lemons) while robustly cheering every time another American dies.

IS THE GOVERNOR OF MISSISSIPPI ONE OF THOSE "CRAZIES"?
WHY IS HE CUTTING BACK?

Mississippi Governor Backtracks on Plan to Reopen

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R) backtracked on his plans to slowly reopen the local economy after health officials reported the highest single-day increase in coronavirus cases on Friday and new deaths since the state’s first detected case in March, ABC News reports.

Said Reeves:
“Things can change quickly. We have to stay flexible. Today, I was prepared to announce further reopenings. That was the plan and I was excited to get more of our people back to work. This was a large enough change to make me take a step back… and I have come to the conclusion that I must hold on for now.”

Ch will now in his usual roundabout way explain this to us.

Hey, Fn' get this straight. I will use "uncredited" info from Goddard without attributing it to him when he himself attributes it to named sources. I will do that because I want to, and because it bothers you.

YOU FUCKING LIAR. Goddard himself makes up those FAKE headlines you spam, not the source you claim absolves you.

YOU ARE ALSO A FUCKING IDIOT.

AND A FUCKING THIEF with NO CONSCIOUS

I will continue to use JAMES'S FUCKING DADDY because I tell the TRUTH ABOUT YOU

We need to focus on facts and not fear. They said Florida was going to be just like New York or an “Uber Italy” when it came to hospitalizations and fatalities. This was wrong. It’s time to focus on the facts and follow a safe, smart and step-by-step plan for recovery.

Shut up, F'n. You have nothing to say.

I asked Ch a reasonable question, based on factual information about the MI governor's action and a direct quote from him provided above.

I would like to hear Ch's response (not your usual frenetics) to what I asked him up there.

Stupid old man that’s not Michigan’s governor

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

I am entirely aware of that, and was, thank you.
Still, the question applies. So why don't you shut up too and let Ch answer?
I'm sure he's capable of it.

Well Reverend - Last I checked Reeves Reeves issued a "safer-at-home" last week to allow for a certain amount of businesses to reopen. As far as I know nothing has changed in regards to that.

From what I can gather (looking past the latest rhetoric and into what was actually stated) the Governor plans on making more decisions this coming week but has decided against making any more tangible steps in the meantime.

"The increase was a large enough change to make me take a step back, reexamine things and must hold on and reconsider at least over the weekend," Reeves said Friday. “We may still move forward with more reopenings soon. We believe what we’re considering represents safe steps. They wouldn’t recklessly put more people in harm’s way.”

Yesterday they reported 229 new cases and 10 new deaths.

If you are interested in the actual numbers (rather than silly rhetoric) than go to their site.

I know it's hard for you Reverend.

Numbers, charts, graphs... confusing stuff for people like you who would rather get their opinions from second rate bloggers who prove to be dead wrong more often than correct.

John F Kennedy famously said: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” At no time in American history has this been more true. Instead of simply putting yourself first; consider putting America First: Show respect for others. Wear a face mask. #connectdadots

WHO stands by recommendation to not wear masks if you are not sick or not caring for someone who is sick

Jacqueline Howard, CNN
March 31, 2020

(CNN)World Health Organization officials Monday said they still recommend people not wear face masks unless they are sick with Covid-19 or caring for someone who is sick.

"There is no specific evidence to suggest that the wearing of masks by the mass population has any potential benefit. In fact, there's some evidence to suggest the opposite in the misuse of wearing a mask properly or fitting it properly," Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO health emergencies program, said at a media briefing in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday.

___

We must listen to WHO until they say the opposite of what they are saying.

Famously, those beautiful charts showing new cases still declining after a whole week of limited openings are only interesting for the uninformed losers like Lil Schitty.... New infections would not show up for 7-10 days after exposure......Fatalities weeks after that.....sorry sport......you have cum all over yourself once again......sad very sad!!!!!!! And fucking asshole daddy....since testing is sooooo far behind....wearing masks are to protect not the wearer, but the wearer who is has no symptoms from passing to others which means just about everyone!!!!!!....Try waking up you dumb fuck you prove over and over again why you suck on trumps fat old white ass!!!!!!

BTW Lil Schitty....your C+P charts are more than misleading......went to your source and found today's total 28,602 and rising....If I could get your POS to act properly....I would see you posted the 7 day moving average......without consideration of the things being open for the past week... But thanx for twisting the facts to tell the story you want....>BWAAAAAAAA!!!!!! The true impact is probable still 10 days away as even confirming cases takes 7 days or so!!!!!

New York had 4000 cases and 300 dead... and they are still locked down.

Michigan continues to be the most draconian and reported 154 deaths today.

So I guess these lock downs are not working either, huh Rog?

I am answering only Ch's 1:02PM, not having read the other posts since his.

Well, Ch, I'm clever enough with facts to know that when Gov. Reeves talks about "the increase [as] a large enough change to make me take a step back, reexamine things and ... hold on and reconsider at least over the weekend," he is saying that he's worried he MAY have moved too far, too fast, too soon, and wants to see what happens in the near future as he decides how (and if) to "move forward with more reopenings soon."

I think all governors had better think along those same lines if they too don't want "recklessly to put more people in harm’s way.”

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Another way of putting it:

Governors Rise to the Occasion as Trump Stumbles
May 3, 2020 at 5:36 pm EDT

Dan Balz:
"As Washington has stumbled, governors of both parties have acted to fill the void. States have pleaded with Washington for help, and sometimes have gotten it. As often, however, the tensions and disagreements between state leaders and the federal government — especially with President Trump — have come to define the crisis.

"As Trump dallied, governors moved on their own to order their residents to stay at home.

"When the president threatened to force states to lift those restrictions, governors resisted.

"When Trump supported protesters demanding that their states be opened up, many governors — though not all — said they would follow federal guidelines to the letter or even go beyond.

"This display of state power is very much as the Founders intended when they established the nation."

Myballs said...

Dan Balz has a selective memory. Trump said flat out that the states had to lead because there's so much variation from one to another, thst a single federal policy was the wrong approach.

Funny Politicalwire didn't think to call thst out.

So once again, Reverend...

This person didn't actually meant what he said... according to you!

Moreover, his actions are not consistent with what he meant. He actually did reopen parts of his state and has not offered any suggestion that he will change any of that. It's just whether or not he opens "more" businesses over the next few days or waits.

Have you noticed a pattern here, Reverend.

It seems like everyone you accuse of thinking a particular way is not actually doing or taking actions as they would if they actually did think the way you accuse. Whether it's Trump, or Fauci, or Birx, or now conservative Governors.

They never quite say what you claim they mean...

Why is it that with liberals, they always see a quote as some sort of puzzle to figure out what was "really" meant, rather than just take something at face value?

Coronavirus NSW: Dossier lays out case against China bat virus program

China deliberately suppressed or destroyed evidence of the coronavirus outbreak in an “assault on international transparency’’ that cost tens of thousands of lives, according to a dossier prepared by concerned Western governments on the COVID-19 contagion.

The 15-page research document, obtained by The Saturday Telegraph, lays the foundation for the case of negligence being mounted against China.

It states that to the “endangerment of other countries” the Chinese government covered-up news of the virus by silencing or “disappearing” doctors who spoke out, destroying evidence of it in laboratories and refusing to provide live samples to international scientists who were working on a vaccine.

The Chinese did it no matter how badly Donks want to blame bad Orange Man

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Well, Ch....

Dr. Fauci stresses that states should follow federal guidelines and should only reopen if they have
1) a two weeks decline in coronavirus cases
2) and are able to contact trace people who test positive

"The only thing I can do ... is just continue to urge the ones who don't have that capability to really go very slowly, and those that do, go ahead and go by the guidelines. The guidelines are very, very explicit and very clear. There is a lot of leeway because we give the governors the opportunity to be very flexible, but you have to have the core principles of the guidelines.
You can't just leap over things and get into a situation where you're really tempting a rebound. That's the thing I get concerned about. I hope they don't do that.

"I can't stress that states should follow the federal guidelines and only reopen if they have a two week decline in cases and the ability to identify, isolate and contact trace people who test positive.
It doesn't seem that we have that."
