Will this really be an Obamagate?

It looks like President Obama ordered up phony RussiaGate scandal
Information released as the Justice Department dropped its charges against Gen. Mike Flynn shows that President Barack Obama, in his final days in office, played a key role in fanning the flames of phony scandal. Fully briefed on the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation, he knew the FBI had come up with nothing despite months of work starting in July 2016.

“From a national-security perspective,” Rice’s memo afterward put it, “President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia.”

So we can all dispense of what did he know and when did he know it. There is no question that Obama was front and center on the entire thing. Not only did he know what was happening when it was happening, but he clearly was the guy pulling many of the strings. The idea that Clapper and others tried to shield this information from Congress and make Obama out to be outside of this loop was obviously a lie.

But the reality still stays the same. Trump claims he could kill someone in broad daylight and get away with it, when the truth is that he cannot say two words without someone from the media twisting it around into something to play "gotcha" with. Obama on the other hand could probably shoot someone in broad daylight and the press would demand an investigation into why the person had it coming.

There is no way our mainstream media is ever going to pick up this story and run with it. They've had plenty of chances so far and simply refuse to take the angle. In the minds of many liberal journalists they will go to their graves still believing that Trump must have been some sort of Russian spy... because the alternative would shed a bad light on the previous Administration (and we can't have that).

Biden Says Flynn Conspiracy Is Just a Diversion
May 12, 2020 at 9:20 am EDT

Asked by ABC News whether he and President Obama targeted Michael Flynn during the 2016 campaign, Joe Biden let out an enormous sigh and responded: “This is all about diverting attention from the horrible way in which he has acted.”

He added: “We don’t have coronavirus because of him, but we have the devastating impact of it because of his lack of a policy, because of his lack of action. It’s all about diversion.”

Yep. And this proves it:

SORRY, CH,
Unreleased White House report shows coronavirus rates spiking in heartland communities
NBC News

May 12th 2020 8:44AM

Coronavirus infection rates are spiking to new highs in several metropolitan areas and smaller communities across the country, according to undisclosed data the White House's pandemic task force is using to track rates of infection, which was obtained by NBC News.

The data in a May 7 coronavirus task force report are at odds with President Donald Trump's declaration Monday that "all throughout the country, the numbers are coming down rapidly."LIAR.

The 10 top areas recorded surges of 72.4 percent or greater over a seven-day period compared to the previous week, according to a set of tables produced for the task force by its data and analytics unit. They include Nashville, Tennessee; Des Moines, Iowa; Amarillo, Texas; and — atop the list, with a 650 percent increase — Central City, Kentucky.

On a separate list of "locations to watch," which didn't meet the precise criteria for the first set: Charlotte, North Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska; Minneapolis; Montgomery, Alabama; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix. The rates of new cases in Charlotte and Kansas City represented increases of more than 200 percent over the previous week, and other tables included in the data show clusters in neighboring counties that don't form geographic areas on their own, such as Wisconsin's Kenosha and Racine counties, which neighbor each other between Chicago and Milwaukee.

So far, more than 80,000 people in the U.S. have died because of the coronavirus, and the rate of new cases overall hasn't yet subsided. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that there were 23,792 new cases on Sunday — lower than the number for each of the previous four days but more than on May 4 and May 5.

The spiking infection rates suggest that the pandemic is spreading quickly outside major coastal population centers that were early hot spots, while governors of some of the states that are home to new hot spots are following Trump's advice to relax stay-at-home restrictions. COULD PROVE TO BE A BIG MISTAKE, BOTH POLITICALLY AND IN TERMS OF LOSS OF LIFE

Alabama, Kentucky, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee, for example, have no stay-at-home orders,
according to a task force map. In other states where restrictions are being put in place or repealed at the local level, some counties are experiencing surges. Dallas and Fort Bend counties in Texas, where decisions are made locally, are on a "locations to watch" list because they have recorded increases in numbers of cases of 116.8 percent and 64.8 percent, respectively.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., whose state included the nation's highest-surging geographic area, said Monday that he has "felt no urgency" for Congress to approve another coronavirus response bill.

Also as a side thing, if Democrats and the news media were hoping for some great split between Fauci and Donald Trump, they were sorely mistaken.

1. Fauci essentially gave the same advise and guidance in his public testimony that he has given standing right beside Donald Trump in their press briefings.

2. Fauci has repeated time and again there is no contentious relationship between him and Trump (this really turned out to be a stupid line of questioning by the Democrats).

Bottom line is that Schumer oversold what was going to happen today much to the disappointment of the media and fellow Democrats.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) slammed the Trump administration’s progress on access to coronavirus tests:
“I find our testing record nothing to celebrate whatsoever.”

Said Romney: “I understand that politicians are going to frame data in a way that’s most positive politically, but of course I don’t expect that from admirals. But yesterday you celebrated that we had done more tests, and more tests per capita, even, than South Korea, and you ignored the fact that they accomplished theirs at the beginning of the outbreak, while we treaded water during February and March.”

He added: “The fact is their test numbers are going down, down, down, down now because they don’t have the kind of outbreak we have, ours are going up, up, up as they have to. That’s an important lesson for us as we think about the future.”

Obamagate Is Not a Conspiracy Theory There’s no reason to ignore the mounting evidence that Obama administration officials were corrupt in their handling of the Trump–Russia investigation

What’s more, the larger context only makes all of these facts more damning. By 2016, the Obama administration’s intelligence community had normalized domestic spying. Obama’s director of national intelligence, James Clapper, famously lied about snooping on American citizens to Congress. His CIA director, John Brennan, oversaw an agency that felt comfortable spying on the Senate, with at least five of his underlings breaking into congressional computer files. His attorney general, Eric Holder, invoked the Espionage Act to spy on a Fox News journalist, shopping his case to three judges until he found one who let him name the reporter as a co-conspirator. The Obama administration also spied on Associated Press reporters, which the news organization called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion.” And though it’s been long forgotten, Obama officials were caught monitoring the conversations of members of Congress who opposed the Iran nuclear deal.

What makes anyone believe these people wouldn’t create a pretext to spy on the opposition party? If anyone does, they shouldn’t, because on top of everything else, we know that Barack Obama was keenly interested in the Russian-collusion investigation’s progress.

In her very last hour in office, national-security adviser Susan Rice wrote a self-preserving email to herself, noting that she’d attended a meeting with the president, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, FBI director James Comey, and Vice President Joe Biden in which Obama stressed that everything in the investigation should proceed “by the book.”

Did high-ranking Obama-administration officials not always conduct such investigations “by the book”? It is curious that they would need to be specifically instructed to do so. It is also curious that the outgoing national-security adviser, 15 minutes after Trump had been sworn in as president, would need to mention this meeting.

None of this means that Obama committed some specific crime; he almost assuredly did not. In a healthy media environment, though, the mounting evidence of wrongdoing would spark an outpouring of journalistic curiosity.

“But,” you might ask, “why does it matter, anymore?” Well, for one thing, many of the same characters central to all this apparent malfeasance now want to retake power in Washington. Biden is the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, he’s running as the heir to Obama’s legacy, and he was at that meeting with Rice. He had denied even knowing anything about the FBI investigation into Flynn before being forced to correct himself after ABC’s George Stephanopoulos pointed out that he was mentioned in Rice’s email. It’s completely legitimate to wonder what he knew about the investigation.

Skeptics like to point out that the Obama administration had no motive to engage in abuse, because Democrats were sure they were going to win. Richard Nixon won 49 states in 1972. His cronies had no need to break into the DNC’s offices and touch off Watergate. But as the FBI agents involved in the case noted, they wanted to have an “insurance policy” if the unthinkable happened.

In 2016, the unthinkable did happen, and we’re still dealing with the fallout four years later. We don’t know where this scandal will end up, but one doesn’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to wonder.

Barack Obama is the most authoritarian president of the 21st century.

A U.S. judge put on hold the Justice Department’s move to drop charges against Michael Flynn, saying he expects independent groups and legal experts to argue against the bid to exonerate President Trump’s former national security adviser of lying to the FBI.
U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan said in an order Tuesday that he expects individuals and organizations will seek to intervene in the politically charged case. Having others weigh in could preface more aggressive steps that the federal judge in Washington could take, including — as many outside observers have called for — holding a hearing to consider what to do.
Sullivan’s order came after the government took the highly irregular step Thursday of reversing its stance on upholding Flynn’s guilty plea.
The action by Sullivan, a veteran 72-year-old jurist with a national reputation for advocating defendants’ rights to full government disclosure of evidence, appears to rule out immediate action on the Justice Department’s decision to reverse course and throw out Flynn’s December 2017 guilty plea.

No, Obama is not the only president in U.S. history to denounce his successor...lol.

Bill Clinton criticized his successor, George Bush, for the handling of the Iraq war.

George H.W. Bush criticized Bill Clinton, for taking credit for the U.S. economic recovery and the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Jimmy Carter criticized his successor, Ronald Reagan, for blaming his presidential mistakes on past presidents. He also criticized Reagan administration for policy changes in the U.S.

Gerald Ford often criticized his successor publicly, Jimmy Carter, speaking out against his economic policies.

I’m sure that we can stroll down Historical Lane and find many presidents who have spoken out against their successors at least once. The simple fact that Obama has not spoken out publicly and more frequently against Trump is a gracious act when you consider how many times Trump has attacked Obama as the President of the United States and now as his own presidential predecessor. There is only one classless person here, Mr. McConnell, and he is the man who lives in the White House who gives free rent to Obama to live in his brain 24/7 and recklessly tweets his emotional turmoil about it almost daily.
