Now, in the interest of fairness, Ch is going to start posting video after video after video showing white on black violence, including police officers shooting fleeing blacks in the back or shooting blacks who are sitting in a car and reaching for identification as requested or... or.... or....

Sure Reverend...

In interest of statistical fairness I will show approximately 10,000 videos of black on white violence to every one video of an unjustified police shooting of an unarmed black man. Since that 10,000 number is a very very conservative statistical comparison (it could be much, much higher depending on which stats you use).

Just a warning...

It might take some time to get to 10,000...

The following is for people who do not care to see videos of unjustifiable violence, whether committed by any race on any other.

Preparing for a Second Wave

Washington Post:
“A White House adviser said Sunday that the Trump administration is preparing for a possible second wave in the novel coronavirus pandemic this fall, as 29 states and U.S. territories logged an increase in their seven-day average of new reported cases after many lifted restrictions in recent weeks.”
________

Kudlow Insists No ‘Second Wave’ Coming

White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow told CNBC that a “second wave” of coronavirus cases isn’t coming and that lawmakers will likely develop another stimulus package by the end of next month.

Said Kudlow: “There is no second wave coming. It’s just hot spots.”

White House Cuts Back Temperature Checks

The White House is apparently scaling back its temperature checks, as Washington, D.C. enters the second phase of its reopening today, NBC News reports.

AND YET--
Future Trump Rallies Are On Hold

CNN:
“Ahead of the President’s visit on Saturday to Tulsa, there had been tentative plans to announce another rally for the near future, perhaps as early as the next two weeks.

“Now, it remains unclear when — and how — Trump will move forward with his flagship political events. Some advisers suggested it could be weeks or even months before Trump attempts another rally, though as of Monday morning no decisions had been made on how to proceed.

“When the President speaks Tuesday in Phoenix it will be to a group of young supporters, not a rally, though aides are now working to ensure that event appears full. And Trump will visit Wisconsin on Thursday in an official capacity.”

HOPING TO AVOID ANOTHER FIASCO, I GUESS.

Joe Biden Is No Hillary Clinton

Mark Barabak:
“The incumbent is deeply unpopular and, if history is a guide, stands little chance of drastically changing those sentiments by election day.

“His best — and possibly only — chance of winning a second term is making Biden seem the more unpalatable of the two; turning the election, in the political shorthand, into a choice between candidates rather than a referendum on Trump’s personality and performance.

“The strategy worked four years ago against Clinton. After a quarter-century on the national stage, and a bruising Democratic primary, the former first lady and secretary of State was viewed by many Republicans as a figure of almost singular villainy and by a significant number of independents — who didn’t like either candidate — as the greater of two evils.

This time seems different.”

YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN.

The issue for Clinton was that she was viewed as competent, but not likable and therefor she lacked the sort of enthusiasm that was required for someone to become President.

The issue for Biden is the reverse. He may very well be considered likable (at least for now), but has never been considered all that competent and will likely be exposed more as the campaign goes on as a man who looks and acts as if he is nearly 80.

What is very true for both of them (Clinton and Biden) and what they have in common is still the lack of voter enthusiasm. More alarming for Democrats right now is their inability to be mobile in terms of their GOTV drive (which is far more tied to bringing in new voters than activating current voters).

As much as some Governors are trying to push voting and registration by mail, that isn't as simple as it sounds. There are lots of things that can go wrong and invalidate a mail-in ballot for inexperienced voters in many states. Moreover, if they are forced to both register and then also vote by mail, that's an added layer.

There is a very good chance that we will have reduced voter participation in November, which will affect those most likely to still believe Covid is the plague of the century. Lack of in person new voter registration drives (which would have already been taking place in a normal election year) and a lower expected voter turnout - will work for the candidates (in general) with more voter enthusiasm.

Trump baselessly claims 2020 election is 'RIGGED' months before any votes are cast
HuffPost

President Donald Trump on Monday baselessly claimed that the general election in November will be “RIGGED” because of mail-in ballots, a method for voting that the president himself has used multiple times.

“This will be the Election disaster of our time,” Trump tweeted, citing an article from right-wing website Breitbart that featured comments Attorney General William Barr made Sunday during an interview with Fox News.

Barr told Fox News that voting by mail “opens the floodgates to fraud.” He warned a foreign country could “print up tens of thousands of counterfeit ballots” and that it would be hard time to figure out which ballots were valid.

Barr has not publicly provided any evidence to support his claim. And election administrators in multiple states have disputed this theory, stating it would be virtually impossible for a foreign country to peddle phony ballots undetected.

Nonetheless, Trump declared the process compromised, months before any votes have been cast in the general election.

“RIGGED 2020 ELECTION: MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE PRINTED BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES, AND OTHERS,” he tweeted without evidence. “IT WILL BE THE SCANDAL OF OUR TIMES!”

Dozens of states have expanded mail-in voting practices in response to the public health threat that the coronavirus poses. The practice could help curb contagion by reducing the number of voters at polling locations, particularly in some poorer communities where voters have traditionally waited in line for hours to cast their ballots.

Plus, much of the country already votes by mail. More than 23% of voters cast their ballot by mail in the 2016 general election.

awww...

the poor widdle kiddies at the huff po need everything explained to them.

it's called common sense. if mail in voting favored the GOP, the left would be suing to disband the USPS.

also from that huff po article:

Earlier this month, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden warned that Trump is “going to try and steal this election.” The New York Times reported that several Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans share the former vice president’s concerns.

huh.

no one is asking ol' joey stinkfinger or any democrat or never trumper for evidence of THAT claim.

LOL.

rat admits that the more people vote, the more likely is Trump's defeat.

The GOP knows that too.

That's the real and only real reason for opposing mail in voting.

I think all Americans should start refusing to pledge "allegiance to the flag...etc." until the words are changed to include something like this:

I pledge allegiance to the United States of America with government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

rat admits that, and so does the GOP. That's why they're trying to move all the goal posts so that less people will vote in the next election.

Well James if you don't think this country is worthy of your allegiance then you can always leave.

Nothing is certainly stopping you from leaving.

Perhaps some missionary work in a country more worthy of your presents, say Uganda?

the more mail-in ballots are cast, the more egregious the liberal voter fraud.

if mail in ballots favored the GOP the left would burn down every post office and mail box in America.

Protesters in San Francisco on Friday toppled the statue of former President Grant, who led the Union Army during the Civil War, in Golden Gate Park.

San Francisco police said that approximately 400 people gathered around 8 p.m. to take down the statue, though no arrests were made, according to NBC Bay Area.

Also torn down in the park on Friday were the statues of St. Junipero Serra and Francis Scott Key, who wrote the lyrics to “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

We’re well past the point of simply removing Confederate monuments or statues to slaveholders now. U.S. Grant was born into an abolitionist family. He married the daughter of a slave-holding family. That family gifted him a single slave, whom Grant freed while he himself was destitute in 1859. Grant could have sold the slave, whose name was William Jones, for a profit. He chose to set him free instead, well before the Civil War.
