WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell on Sunday endorsed Democratic former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, becoming the first major Republican to publicly back Donald Trump’s rival ahead of November’s election.
Powell, who led the U.S. military during the 1991 Gulf War under Republican former President George H.W. Bush and later led the U.S. Department of State under President George W. Bush, said Trump was “ineffective” and has only gotten worse since he took office.
“I cannot in any way support President Trump this year,” Powell, who did not vote for Trump in 2016, told CNN in an interview.
Asked if he would vote for Biden, he added: “I will be voting for him.”

Well, I managed now to see the video. I got it by clicking on the blue "12K people are talking about this" line at the bottom of what Ch supplied.
It shows the young mayor being shouted out of the crowd, walking past numerous loudly yelling protesters, none of whom struck him or threw anything at him, but who were making it clear they were not in agreement with him.
I do not agree with defunding the police, but I am in agreement with numerous of my fellow Americans that there is desperate need for systemic CHANGES in the policing practices of this nation.
Looking at the video again, I did see two things that I do not like or approve of. I saw a young woman give Frey the finger, and toward the end of the video I did see a young man in the distance throw something in the mayor's direction, perhaps a water bottle, though the mayor was far, far away from him and it could have hit anyone in the crowd.

Well, my little experiment (mentioned in the last thread) worked.
I knew I could get F'n daddy to come out with his stupid repetitive boring boiler plate nonsense just by posting effectively. It worked.
The Ferguson 2.2 million death claim vs 120-240 was not a matter of doing nothing versus mitigation. It was a model that was horribly flawed and eventually just determined to be wrong.
The second guess was more accurate (had they stuck to it)...
But alas, that 120-240 range was dropped all the way down to 60K.
Then it was raised to 90K
Then it was raised to 150K
Now it sits somewhere in the 130-140 range.
In reality we probably have only a rough estimate of how many people actually died "from" Covid-19. All we have now is a combination of how many people died "with" Covid added to how many people doctors believed probably had Covid-19 (even if they didn't test positive to it).
