Ginsburg has had deadly pancreatic cancer for months and but has been telling people she is okay?

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says cancer has returned, but has no plans to retire from Supreme Court.
Ginsburg said she was disclosing her cancer treatment now because she is satisfied “that my treatment course is now clear.”

Venook said the chemotherapy drug Ginsburg said she is getting, gemcitabine, is one that’s often used. Immunotherapy, which Ginsburg’s statement said she tried unsuccessfully, has not worked well for pancreatic cancer, Venook said.
Ginsburg said a medical scan in February revealed growths on her liver and she began chemotherapy in May.

Generally late stage pancreatic or liver cancer patients have a year or two to live (at most), but doctors are suggesting that Ginsburg may just last longer. While we can respect the privacy of everyone (including USSC Justices), it makes one wonder why Ginsburg went out of her way to specifically tell people that she wasn't being treated for cancer, when in fact she was being treated for cancer.

Was it really having a treatment plan, (rather than the end of the 2020 court session) the real reason why they decided to announce this now? One as to wonder if it might have been some consideration as to whether or not this was the time to step down?

GOP Leaders Vow To Fill Any Supreme Court Vacancy
July 20, 2020 at 10:08 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 394 Comments

“Senate Republican leaders, undeterred by the scathing criticism leveled against them for blocking President Barack Obama’s election-year Supreme Court nominee in 2016, are signaling that they are prepared to confirm a nominee by President Donald Trump even if that vacancy occurred after this year’s election,” CNN reports.

“The push comes despite ample apprehension from influential Republicans that the GOP could pay a political price for treating a nominee under Trump differently than they did under Obama. It also comes as Democrats are increasingly worried about the fragile health of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the 87-year-old liberal jurist who recently made public a new bout with cancer, and the possibility of other retirements.”

Trump is her strongest reason to keep living. But if she does die, and Republicans pull their little stunt, they may live to wish they had not.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg's support for Abortion arose from her "concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of."

I'm thinking Ted Cruz would be an excellent replacement.

Did she actually write one of the decisions this year? If she did, I don't recall it. Everyone else seems to be doing all the writing.

Rep. Matt Gaetz said the conference chairman — the highest-ranking GOP woman — should step down or be removed from the No. 3 post in House Republican leadership.

Trump says he knew Jeffrey Epstein’s partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, and wished her well
Maxwell was arrested in early July on charges that she aided Epstein in his years-long sexual exploitation and abuse of underage girls.

Don't wish pancreatic cancer on anybody, but Ginsburg would rather die on the bench than retire.

In other words, when she didn't retired when Obama could have replaced her then she sure is not going to retire for Trump.

Just another reason to give Trump four more years.

I think she wrote one or two dissents.
