In all sincerity I would be interested in knowing why someone whom Ch himself describes as a "liberal blogger and one time active member here" chose to leave.
That's sad news to hear. He was an able debater, and a decent person online. My recollection is he was slightly younger than me, so this news is also a bit of a shock.
I used to follow his blog when he was regularly updating it. I see from his last post (almost a year ago) that he'd mainly moved his commentary to Facebook.

Indy - he was 57 years old (or young). That's the same age as me. He was a very decent man.
