Are Trump's approval ratings going back up because the Covid task force briefings are back?

I've ran across this argument a couple of places recently. But I have to admit that I have not been watching the new briefings, nor do I know anyone who is. That being said, it's always better when the President and those around him speak directly to the public, rather than allow the media to create the narrative. Perhaps that is the lesson to be learned moving into election season.

But either way, the idea of the President talking directly to the people upsets the liberal media and it exposes them in ways that they are otherwise not endanger of. Generally they can get away with writing most anything, even during these press conferences. The only difference is that they can be seriously fact checked themselves when all of this is sitting out there to view. eg: Most reasonable people went back to the task force briefing after the drinking bleach fiasco and realized that the President said no such thing (didn't even mention bleach). While many liberals hung on to the concept, the joke was eventually on them for believing something inherently ridiculous and obviously not true.

Recently we have seen more and more liberal commentators suggests (for a variety of reasons) that there should be no Presidential debates. Of course, this would eliminate the chance for millions of Americans to actually see the candidates in person, listen to them first hand, and judge them for their performance. Perhaps nothing has been more mainstream and traditional during a campaign season than Presidential debates. At this point in time, there is absolutely no reason why two men could not stand on a stage at least six feet apart and answer questions live. The idea that Covid does not allow for this is insane.

But imagine the joy that the media would have if the debates were cancelled and the information that voters got was even more filtered by what the media tells them?
