How damaging has the faux hysteria emanating from the media over the coronavirus been? If a new poll from Franklin-Templeton Gallup is indication, the result has been making most of the country completely ignorant of the scientific facts regarding the current pandemic. Not coincidently, the false perceptions that now abound just so happen to play right into left-wing desires, like perpetual lock downs and keeping schools closed.
For the last six months, we have all read and talked about nothing but COVID-19; how can there be still such a widespread, fundamental misunderstanding of the basic facts? Our poll results identify two major culprits: the quality of information and the extreme politicization of the COVID-19 debate:
- People who get their information predominantly from social media have the most erroneous and distorted perception of risk.
- Those who identify as Democrats tend to mistakenly overstate the risk of death from COVID-19 for younger people much more than Republicans.
So in two polls now, we are figuring out exactly how misinformed the public is. If you add them both together, it would suggest that many Americans (or at least many Democrats) erroneously believe that approximately 9 million Americans under the age of 44 have died of Covid... when in fact, that actual number is about 4500. So they are off by a factor of around 2000....
In other words, for every single person under the age of 45 that has actually died, a decent portion of Americans believe that there were two thousand who died. When you confuse and replace one death with two thousand... well is it any wonder that people are willing to almost wage war when others don't follow their own personal guidelines regarding how serious to take things.
Do the people who's heads are exploding over school openings "really" understand that the number of children under the age of 15 that has died of Covid is about three dozen... nationally... and that nearly all of them who do test positive are mostly asymptomatic or have almost no symptoms?
When you factor in the blatant misrepresentation, not just from our media, but from our Government officials (remember that misleading chart I posted about)... it would appear that our Covid news is 10% real information and 90% propaganda and scare tactics. Our own Governor was asked to compare our response and results to our surrounding states... and he stated that we compared favorably to Michigan and Illinois? Why not compare us to Iowa, or Wisconsin, or the Dakotas (all share borders)? Well the answer to that is as obvious as it is indicative in how we have been treated since this outbreak began.
We are adults. We should be given the information straight up. Not lied to, misinformed, and left in the dark. But that is exactly where most people (who refuse to do their own research) are.

What exactly is the overlap between a “moderate” Republican and the left-wing nutter policies of the 2020 Democrats?
There are none because this really is not about policy. It’s about ORANGE MAN BAD and the loss of influence and stature within the political machine. The political machine is not partisan, it’s an industry just like any other. Politics is first and foremost about who has power (elected officials, deep pocket corporate interests and their influencer flacks) and who doesn’t. Since Trump is an outsider, the industry and it’s soldiers can’t cash a bank of IOUs they would normally have on a professional politician. It’s better for these fake Republicans and their auxiliaries to be in the minority of a status quo system. In fact it’s better for all the establishment Republicans to be the minority of a status quo system, they would much rather lose the White House and both chambers so they can be king of the losers. It’s easier for them, they don’t have to do anything, they have no responsibility and can always point to their helpless position as a minority as cover for their ineffectiveness.
But the nerve of these traitors, turning on the people who voted for them while pretending to represent their interests is astronomical. How many people who voted for John McCain (59,948,323 votes) also voted for Donald Trump (62,979,879)? I’m guessing a lot and those people probably thought McCain was going to advance mutually held political positions he pretended to have.
