Here is one Jew who would vote for Trump

The choice for Jews is Trump helping Israel or Biden going back to secretly sending pallets of cash to their mortal enemies...

Ladies and gentlemen, the people of Israel well know the price of war. I know the price of war. I was wounded in battle. A fellow soldier, a very close friend of mine, died in my arms. My brother Yoni lost his life while leading his soldiers to rescue hostages held by terrorists at Entebbe. My parents’ grief over the loss of Yoni was unrelieved until their dying day. And over the years, when I have come to console the families of Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror, I have seen that same grief countless times. And this is why I am so deeply moved to be here today. For those who bear the wounds of war cherish the blessings of peace.

As far as Trump getting the jewish vote is concerned. West Palm and North Broward percents in Florida with give a good indication. If Biden is falling behind Clinton's 2016 numbers in those areas then he's in trouble.

Less than two months before election day, former Starbucks CEO and one-time presidential hopeful Howard Schultz said Monday he will vote for Joe Biden and contribute to his campaign.

“In my view, our choice this November is not just for one candidate over another,” he said in an essay posted on his website Monday and sent to his own listserv, rather than through the Biden campaign. “What is at risk is democracy itself: Checks and balances. Rigorous debate. A free press. An acceptance of facts, not ‘alternate facts.’ Belief in science.”

Copied from a post in a group because everyone needs to read this...
“Disturbing but it has the ring of truth. A cautionary tale:
The question was posed, "Why do people continue supporting Trump no matter what he does?" A lady named Bev answered it this way:
‘You all don't get it. I live in Trump country, in the Ozarks in southern Missouri, one of the last places where the KKK still has a relatively strong established presence. They don't give a shit what he does. He's just something to rally around and hate liberals, that's it, period.
He absolutely realizes that and plays it up. They love it. He knows they love it. The fact that people act like it's anything other than that proves to them that liberals are idiots, all the more reason for high fives all around.
If you keep getting caught up in "why do they not realize this problem" and "how can they still back Trump after this scandal," then you do not understand what the underlying motivating factor of his support is. It's fuck liberals, that's pretty much it.
Have you noticed he can do pretty much anything imaginable, and they'll explain some way that rationalizes it that makes zero logical sense? Because they're not even keeping track of any coherent narrative, it's irrelevant. Fuck liberals is the only relevant thing.
Trust me; I know firsthand what I'm talking about. That's why they just laugh at it all because you all don't even realize they truly don't give a fuck about whatever the conversation is about. It's just a side mission story that doesn't matter anyway. That's all just trivial details - the economy, health care, whatever. Fuck liberals.
Look at the issue with not wearing the masks. I can tell you what that's about. It's about exposing fear. They're playing chicken with nature, and whoever flinches just moved down their internal pecking order, one step closer to being a liberal.
You've got to understand the one core value that they hold above all others is hatred for what they consider weakness because that's what they believe strength is, hatred of weakness. And I mean passionate, sadistic hatred.
And I'm not exaggerating. Believe me. Sadistic, passionate hatred, and that's what proves they're strong, their passionate hatred for weakness. Sometimes they will lump vulnerability in with weakness. They do that because people tend to start humbling themselves when they're in some compromising or overwhelming circumstance, and to them, that's an obvious sign of weakness.
Kindness = weakness. Honesty = weakness. Compromise = weakness.
They consider their very existence to be superior in every way to anyone who doesn't hate weakness as much as they do. They consider liberals to be weak people that are inferior, almost a different species, and the fact that liberals are so weak is why they have to unite in large numbers, which they find disgusting, but it's that disgust that is a true expression of their natural superiority.
Go ahead and try to have a logical, rational conversation with them. Just keep in mind what I said here and be forewarned.”

Netflix has reportedly seen a surge in U.S. subscription cancellations following the controversy over the movie Cuties, which has generated a firestorm over its highly sexualized depiction of underage girls.

Variety cited a study from a data firm called YipItData that found that on Saturday, Netflix’s cancellation rate in the U.S. jumped to nearly eight times higher than the average daily levels recorded in August. The firm noted that Netflix subscriber churn rates — or cancellations — began to rise on Thursday, which is when the hashtag #CancelNetflix reached the top-trending spot on Twitter."

Are there problems on the right — horrible nasties on a par with the violent protesters who have lately inflicted untold damage on many U.S. cities, businesses and lives? You bet. These execrable gun-toting racists have received too much tacit encouragement from Trump. But they do not represent the mainstream of the Republican Party or guide the choices of the vast mass of Republican members of Congress. A year ago, I thought the Democratic Party was similarly insulated from the extreme left. But I don’t anymore, not when so much of the party’s thinking is driven by Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — all of whom were once on the fringes.

With Donald Trump, I know what I am getting. He wears his sins on the outside. For good and ill, he runs his administration. I worry more about his incompetence and vacillation than I do about any dictatorial tendencies. On the other side, however, I am increasingly persuaded that what I see in Joe Biden — whom I first met in 1992, and whom I believe to be a decent person — would merely be the facade for an administration, fully backed by both houses of Congress, with an agenda that would seriously damage the nation. The corrosive left-wing extremism of 2020 would be ascendant, while a smiling President Biden assures the country that everything is fine. Trump, for all his flaws, could be all that stands between our imperfect democracy and the tyranny of the woke left.

He's a real Republican. I don't agree with him on most issues, but I respect his opinion on the President and the danger he poses.

I agree

Did the Destruction of America Begin with Ronald Reagan?

Donald Trump and his billionaire buddies are letting America die.

The billionaires who make their money from fossil fuels have bought off Trump and Republicans so that they are denying climate change while a dozen states in the west burn and the Gulf Coast is repeatedly ravaged by hurricanes. Firefighters in California and Oregon are identifying the remains of homes where people died by the smell of burnt human flesh.

The billionaires who make their money screwing American students with almost $2 trillion in student loans bribed politicians in 2005 to make it illegal to declare bankruptcy on those loans. Across America, students are experiencing depression, despair, and suicide.

The billionaires who own millions of rental properties across the country are actively ignoring both legal requirements and moral-morality based requests, depending on the state, to prevent evictions and are today throwing people out of their homes in the middle of a pandemic.

The billionaires who own Fox news and some of our largest radio networks are facilitating lies about climate change and the coronavirus, both of which are killing people, while these billionaires live in their protected bubbles. They are also stoking racial violence by repeatedly portraying protesters calling for Black equality under the law as terrorists.

Massive tax cuts by Reagan, Bush and Trump have transferred fully $50 trillion from the homes and pockets of working people into the money bins and foreign bank accounts of the billionaire class since 1980. As a result, fewer than half of Americans are still in the middle class, and fear and rage increasingly dominate the American political landscape.

Using that despair and anger people are feeling as they watch their lives be wiped out, their homes destroyed, and their jobs vanish, Trump and the Republican party are fomenting violence and political instability by trying to scapegoat Black and Brown people. The growing Qanon movement on the right further asserts that "international Jewish bankers" like George Soros are behind at all, stoking anti-Semitism along with their garden-variety racism.

This all began in the 1980s with the so-called Reagan Revolution, when Reagan dropped the top tax rate from 74% to 25% and begin a vicious, scorched-earth campaign to destroy unions across the country while authoring NAFTA and other free trade agreements.

Reagan even championed the destruction of our public schools and the modern day Republican rejection of science on everything from the origin of the earth to climate change. He even empowered people like "Christian" billionaire Pat Roberts who argued that the earth is only 6000 years old and, at the peak of the AIDS crisis that Reagan refused to acknowledge, said the biggest crisis facing America was homosexuality.

If America is to recover from this hellscape that rightwing billionaires and their bought-off politicians have inflicted on us, it's going to require a massive, nationwide awakening and a nonstop multi-year effort.

Reaganism needs to be ripped out by the root. His policies of minimizing science, privatizing our public schools, defunding social security and social welfare programs, ending support for infrastructure repair and construction, wiping out union protections for working people, and of transferring America's wealth to the billionaire class must be reversed.

Until Reaganism is utterly destroyed, the crises engulfing America will simply get worse and worse.

Trump Now Denies Downplaying Virus
September 15, 2020 at 8:40 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

President Trump denied that he had downplayed the threat of the coronavirus, claiming he “up-played” the danger of the disease through his actions, CNBC reports.

The president’s assertion that “in many ways I up-played it in terms of action” came less than a week after the release of audio from an interview with veteran journalist Bob Woodward, in which Trump said of the coronavirus: “I wanted to always play it down … I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

That clip was recorded in mid-March, more than a month after Trump reportedly told Woodward that he understood the virus was “more deadly than even your strenuous flu.”

An endorsement for Biden from an unexpected source
Yahoo News 6:54PM

Scientific American on Tuesday endorsed Joe Biden, the first presidential endorsement in the magazine’s 175-year history.

Its editors said they felt “compelled” to do so because President Trump’s well-documented rejection of science, from climate change to the coronavirus, has cost tens of thousands of American lives.

“The pandemic would strain any nation and system,” the editors wrote, “but Trump’s rejection of evidence and public health measures have been catastrophic in the U.S. He was warned many times in January and February about the onrushing disease, yet he did not develop a national strategy to provide protective equipment, coronavirus testing or clear health guidelines.

“Trump claimed, falsely, that ‘anybody that wants a test can get a test,’” they continued. “That was untrue in March and remained untrue through the summer. Trump opposed $25 billion for increased testing and tracing that was in a pandemic relief bill as late as July. These lapses accelerated the spread of disease through the country — particularly in highly vulnerable communities that include people of color, where deaths climbed disproportionately to those in the rest of the population.”

The monthly magazine, with a circulation of 3.5 million, is owned by Springer Nature, an international academic and scientific publishing company.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, more than 195,000 Americans have died from complications related to COVID-19, and more than 6.5 million have been infected.

The magazine’s editors seized on the revelations in Bob Woodward’s new book, “Rage,” that the president knowingly misled Americans about the dangers of COVID-19.

“Trump repeatedly lied to the public about the deadly threat of the disease, saying it was not a serious concern and ‘this is like a flu’ when he knew it was more lethal and highly transmissible,” the editors wrote. “His lies encouraged people to engage in risky behavior, spreading the virus further, and have driven wedges between Americans who take the threat seriously and those who believe Trump’s falsehoods.”

They also sharply criticized a White House memo attacking Dr. Anthony Fauci,
the country’s leading infectious disease physician and a member of Trump’s coronavirus task force, calling it a “despicable attempt to sow further distrust.”

Trump’s rejection of science extends beyond COVID-19, the editors noted.

“He has repeatedly tried to get rid of the Affordable Care Act while offering no alternative,” they wrote. The president’s proposals to cut billions of dollars from the budgets of the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “increase the risk that new diseases will surprise and devastate us again.”

And Trump has “hobbled U.S. preparations for climate change, falsely claiming that it does not exist and pulling out of international agreements to mitigate it.”

The endorsement came a day after Trump, meeting with officials in California about the state’s catastrophic wildfires, dismissed global warming as an issue, saying, “It’ll start getting cooler” — echoing his prediction at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that the virus would disappear on its own.

Biden, in contrast, “comes prepared with plans to control COVID-19, improve health care, reduce carbon emissions and restore the role of legitimate science in policy making,” the magazine argued. “He solicits expertise and has turned that knowledge into solid policy proposals.”

“The 2020 election is literally a matter of life and death,” the magazine added in a tweet. “We urge you to vote for health, science and Joe Biden for President.”

Biden leads Trump 67-30 among Jewish voters, survey finds

Respondents favor Democratic candidate on handling anti-Semitism, community security, US-Israel relations

JTA — A survey of American Jewish voters said that
67 percent plan to vote for Joe Biden in November and
30% plan to vote for US President Donald Trump.

The numbers in the survey released Monday by the Jewish Electorate Institute broke the same way when voters were asked about Trump’s performance:
67% said they disapproved and
30% said they approved.

The survey suggested gains for Trump among Jewish voters since 2016, when Hillary Clinton won 71% of the vote to Trump’s 24%... However, support among Trump voters appears to be relatively soft.

Just 64% of the respondents who said they approve of Trump said they strongly approved,
while 92% of those who disapproved said they strongly disapproved.

Respondents ranked Biden as better on handling a range of issues, including
anti-Semitism and the rise of white nationalism, 67-26;
the coronavirus pandemic, 66-24;
security of the Jewish community, 55-29;
and US-Israel relations, 46-32.

Voters ranked healthcare,
the economy
and the response to the coronavirus
as their most important issues.
Lowest ranked out of 19 issues asked about in the poll
were Israel, Iran and “Support of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Nonetheless, 88% of respondents said they were pro-Israel. Analysts have long believed that Jewish voters rank Israel low as an electoral issue when they believe both nominees will pursue a pro-Israel policy.

State That Just Voted To Reduce Penalties For Pedophiles Not Sure Why God Keeps Lighting Them On Fire

SACRAMENTO, CA—California is currently on fire, having also been plagued by darkness, earthquakes, and hippies. State leaders are claiming they have "no idea" why God keeps lighting them on fire, though they just voted to reduce penalties for pedophiles in the name of equality for the LGBTQ+ community.

"It's unclear here what exactly we're being punished for," said Governor Gavin Newsom at a press conference as the state burned down around him. "We are a progressive utopia. We're the other states in fast-forward. We pass amazing legislation that shows our love and inclusiveness of pedophiles of all sexual orientations. We are doing exactly what Socialist Jesus would want us to."

"God should be thanking us. He or she didn't build this land of progress."

State legislators, trying to figure out why God keeps unleashing bowl after bowl of wrath upon California, cast lots and threw all the remaining Republicans in the state into the Pacific Ocean in hopes that the plagues would subside. Both men were swallowed by a great fish and are expected to survive.

Netflix Star and Biden Surrogate Jerry Harris Raided By FBI For Allegedly Soliciting Photos and Sex From Minors

Jerry Harris, star of Cheer on Netflix and former Joe Biden presidential campaign surrogate, has been raided by the FBI for allegedly soliciting photos and sex from minors.

FBI agents executed a search warrant at Harris’ home in Naperville, Illinois, on Monday afternoon.

The investigation was launched after allegations made against 21-year-old Harris by 14-year-old twin brothers.

USA Today spoke to the boys, who described a pattern of harassment, both online and at cheer competitions, that started when they were 13 and Harris was 19. It continued for more than a year. “Harris is accused of asking one of the brothers to have sex with him in 2019 at two Varsity cheerleading competitions,” the newspaper reports.

President Trump defended his assertion that the novel coronavirus would "disappear" with or without a vaccine on Tuesday, saying the United States would develop what he called "herd mentality."

"With time it goes away," Trump said during an ABC News town hall in Pennsylvania when pressed by host George Stephanopoulos on his public comments about the virus. "You'll develop, you'll develop herd - like a herd mentality. It's going to be, it's going to be herd-developed, and that's going to happen. That will all happen. But with a vaccine, I think it will go away very quickly."

Trump appeared to mistake "herd mentality" for "herd immunity," which occurs when enough individuals develop immunity to prevent the spread of a disease.

Trump went on to insist that the United States is "rounding the corner" with respect to the coronavirus, which has killed nearly 200,000 people in the U.S.

The problem is just "hating the Jews" no longer works as a distraction for the sunni Arab rulers. They actually need to improve the living standard of their people and they need the technical expertise of Israel to make that happen.

So it was a no-brainer to dump the Palestinians overboard. Abbas got a rude awaking when he went to the Arab league for support and got soundly rejected.

Most important, Trump’s actions have put paid to the long, failed, expensive “peace process” and its magical thinking of “land for peace,” “two nations living side-by-side in peace,” moral equivalence, and endless summits and agreements––all to hide the UN, EU, and progressive American despicable demonization of Israel. That calumny has been so relentless, unjust, and irrational that it has become the face of post-holocaust anti-Semitism.

The agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are likely the beginning of a cascade of Arab Sunni nations, perhaps even Saudi Arabia, normalizing relations with Israel. To be sure, this sea-change is based solely on those states’ national economic, military, and geopolitical interests, reflecting the old tribal wisdom that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” If this happens, Donald Trump will go down as the most consequential foreign policy president since Ronald Reagan. But don’t expect a Nobel Peace Prize. If Reagan, engineer of the collapse of the Soviet Union, was passed over for Mikhail Gorbachev––which is like recognizing the bravery of a man who fled his burning house instead of staying to redecorate––Donald Trump doesn’t stand a chance.

Trump appeared to mistake "herd mentality" for "herd immunity," which occurs when enough individuals develop immunity to prevent the spread of a disease.

no, since he was talking to a room full of liberal democrats and he knew it, herd mentality was quite appropriate.

Anonymous said...

As I alluded to at the top, this is not just a sea-change in geopolitics, it underscores the complete failure of the so-called elite political class here and abroad. That's because their decades of failure is not just failure; it's a scam. Remember that the first rule of bureaucracies is to perpetuate and keep growing. If bureaucracies actually solved problems, they would put themselves out of business. Same goes for the race hustle. Anyone who thought that the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, or affirmative action, or the Community Reinvestment Act, or the multiple trillions of dollars thrown at the "problem" of race in America, or most assuredly the election and then re-election of Barack Obama was going to finally end racism in America once and for all, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and BLM want you to put your ear in their megaphone because they have something to tell you.

Same thing holds true for "the peace process." If you actually solve the problem by ending conflict, you put a whole lot of foreign service officers, diplomats and their staffs and expense accounts - as well as potentially generals, admirals and their DoD budget lines - out of business. And as an aside, but somewhat related, Lt. Colonel Doughboy Bearclaw Vindman, who had the unmitigated gall to commit insubordination by subverting his commander-in-chief and now publicly disparaging him for going against what he insisted was correct foreign policy (ignoring the rather salient fact that the President sets that policy, not the State Dept.), in the eyes of any reasonable person looks like a complete asshole, given what the man he disparaged has just achieved.

Finally, I do have one caveat and it is a question that has to be considered; are the mutual and absolute common ground on a whole host of secular and security issues, as well as even some cultural common ground enough to counteract the teachings of the Koran vis a vis Jews and other infidels? Ultimately, peace is never achieved between political leaders but between the average person in the street. If we examine the 40 years of "peace" between Israel and Egypt, the prospects are not so hot. That said, Egypt is a third world country where the UAE and Bahrain are not. And while Islam has remained stagnant and even regressive for 1,500 years, the world in many aspects has changed radically over the past 40-50. Certainly in the last four. The more that these countries can cooperate, especially considering Iran is still a force to be reckoned with and now perhaps Turkey as well, the more that other barriers break down and bonds formed. Between average people, and not just national leaders.

Winds of change. Yet again, all because Donald Trump won in 2016.

The Hill

He was incoherent

President Trump defended his assertion that the novel coronavirus would “disappear” with or without a vaccine on Tuesday, saying the United States would develop what he called “herd mentality.”

“With time it goes away,” Trump said during an ABC News town hall in Pennsylvania when pressed by host George Stephanopoulos on his public comments about the virus. “You'll develop, you'll develop herd — like a herd mentality. It's going to be, it’s going to be herd-developed, and that's going to happen. That will all happen. But with a vaccine, I think it will go away very quickly.”

Trump appeared to mistake “herd mentality” for “herd immunity,” which occurs when enough individuals develop immunity to prevent the spread of a disease.

Trump went on to insist that the United States is “rounding the corner” with respect to the coronavirus, which has killed nearly 200,000 people in the U.S. Top health officials, meanwhile, have warned of the possibility of a dangerous public health situation in the fall if a second wave of COVID-19 coincides with flu season.

Last week, Anthony Fauci, a key member of the White House coronavirus task force, said he disagreed with Trump’s claim that the U.S. was rounding the “final turn” on the virus.

“A lot of people do agree with me,” Trump told Stephanopoulos when pressed on Fauci’s disagreement. “You look at Scott Atlas. You look at some of the other doctors that are highly — from Stanford. Look at some of the other doctors. They think maybe we could have done that from the beginning.”

Atlas, a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, was added as one of Trump’s coronavirus advisers in August. The Washington Post reported last month that Atlas was pushing the White House to adopt a “herd immunity” strategy, though the White House has denied that the administration has ever considered such a policy to address the coronavirus pandemic.

The president offered a consistent defense of his response to the coronavirus on Tuesday, despite criticism of his rhetoric on the virus and his administration’s handling of the pandemic. Polls show a majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the virus.

Trump denied downplaying the virus publicly, despite a recording of March interview with journalist Bob Woodward during which he acknowledged “playing it down” in order to avoid “panic.” Trump said he was not looking to be dishonest with the public and said he regretted nothing about his response, saying his administration had done a “great job.”

The president also repeatedly touted his administration’s work toward securing a vaccine, saying at one point a vaccine could be ready within “three weeks, four weeks” — a statement that is sure to encounter skepticism within the health community. Fauci has said a vaccine could be available by the end of the year.

Trump Says ‘Herd Mentality’ Will Save Us From Virus

“Undeterred by mounting criticism over his repeated dismissals of the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, President Trump doubled down on his claim that the virus will “go away” on Tuesday, the Daily Beast reports.

Even if it doesn’t, he said, “herd mentality” will take over and save us all.

Said Trump: “You’ll develop like a herd mentality. It’s going to be herd-developed, and that’s going to happen, that will all happen… But I really believe we’re rounding the corner.”

Virus Tally Hits Highest Level in More Than a Month

“New coronavirus cases in the U.S. rose to more than 52,000, the highest daily total in more than a month, as wildfires in some Western states and a hurricane that made landfall in the Southeast opened potential pathways for the virus to spread further,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

Meanwhile, President Trump doubled down on his claim that the virus will “go away” thanks to what he called “herd mentality,” even if no viable vaccine is created.

President Trump blamed Joe Biden, who is not currently President, for not instituting a national mask mandate during the coronavirus pandemic, the HuffPost reports.

Said Trump: “They said at the Democrat convention they’re going to do a national mandate. They never did it, because they’ve checked out and they didn’t do it. And a good question is, you ask why Joe Biden—they said we’re going to do a national mandate on masks.”

Remind me again, what was the premise of the short-lived hysteria over Bob Woodward’s book? That Donald Trump, in early February, knew that the virus could kill and was spread through the air?

This was universal knowledge. In the two weeks before Messrs. Trump and Woodward spoke, more than 550 published and broadcast news reports in the Factiva database likened the Chinese viral outbreak to the deadly 1918 flu pandemic. On Jan. 28, a week before they spoke and on the same day Mr. Trump received a White House security briefing on the virus, this column drew the 1918 analogy. It also highlighted an issue that would plague the world for months. Because of the inability of China and other countries to count mild or nonsymptomatic infections, we were operating on data that considerably overestimated the virus’s deadliness.

So if he can’t be accused of withholding knowledge from the American people, can he be accused of causing harm by not emphasizing these facts in February and early March, before the virus reached most of America? As he told Mr. Woodward, he played down the risk because he didn’t want to cause panic.

To believe its own Devil theory of this episode, the press has to forget everything it knows about the pandemic story, including basic chronology, as well as forget that 55% of America doesn’t trust what Donald Trump says anyway.

It has to remove the Woodward quotes from history and context, blast them into some empty corner of outer space, and invite its audience to invent a new narrative around them.

On Earth, every pandemic plan treats panic as a comorbidity. Both need to be managed. Mr. Trump, we’ll find, was sloppily following the advice of his staff: He could do as much harm as good with anything he said, so say little except to assure the public that the government is on top of things. . . .

As fate would have it, Feb. 13, a week after the widely cited Woodward-Trump conversation, saw a rally in Queens, a video of which is still available on New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Twitter feed. It involved most of the city’s leaders. They urged against panic, suggesting that racism was the only reason for not shopping in Chinatown.

Mayor de Blasio and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo would continue in this vein till the third week of March. From the 17th to the 22nd, they engaged in a public spat over whether to introduce emergency measures.

Or take Angela Merkel, whose response has been widely lauded. Until March 11, she warned against overreaction. On that day, she switched tactics and told Germans that they might all be infected.

William Barr has one theory of press behavior. In a media interview last week, the attorney general suggested that the press was a “collection of liars.” I am tempted to reach for psychology—hysteria, groupthink—but we must not underestimate simple commercial incentive. An untold story of our time is the symbiosis of Mr. Trump and, especially, CNN and MSNBC. Editorial meetings took place, I guarantee it, in which the only discussion concerned how to play the Woodward tidbits for the highest shock value. This works fine for Mr. Trump too. He wants the universe revolving around him. He can run not on his record (good, bad or so-so) but against the media’s palpable, absurd lies.

Dealing with the Devil
Tony Schwartz, who ghost-wrote The Art of the Deal for Donald Trump, is out with a new audiobook, Dealing with the Devil: My Mother, Trump, and Me.

Trump Insists He Has New Health Care Plan
President Trump told George Stephanopoulos of ABC News that he has a new heath care plan ready to unveil:

TRUMP: I have it all ready. I have it all ready.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But it’s … you’ve been trying to strike down preexisting conditions…

TRUMP: It doesn’t matter. I have it all ready, and it’s a much better plan for you, and it’s a much better plan.

Trump Touts Policy Moves, Real and Unreal
“President Trump is cramming months of policy moves into the dwindling weeks before the fall election, with an eye toward boosting his faltering standing with critical voting blocs,” Politico reports.

“In recent weeks, Trump has made pronouncements that ran the gamut from stoking the culture wars to pacifying a specific voting demographic. He banned federal agencies from holding racial sensitivity training — an issue riling up Fox News guests. He named Wilmington, N.C., the first World War II heritage city — a ceremonial move that allowed him to travel to the swing state. He then barred oil drilling off the coast of several Southern states — a move that cut against his previous record but appealed to prominent Republicans in must-win Florida.”

Quote of the Day
“I don’t know, to be honest, whether he’s got it straight in his head what is real and what is unreal. That is why, at the end of the book, I say, in totality, my judgment is, this is the wrong man for the job.”
— Bob Woodward, on CNN.

Biden Keeps Leads In Midwest Battlegrounds
New Washington Post-ABC News polls:

Wisconsin: Biden 52%, Trump 46%
Minnesota: Biden 57%, Trump 41%

Avi Berkowitz’s elevation to a top negotiating position on President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace team was met with near-universal derision by so-called experts and the mainstream press.

Martin Indyk, who served as ambassador to Israel under President Bill Clinton, mocked the appointment of Jared Kushner’s onetime “assistant.” The Brookings Institution’s Natan Sachs declared the then 29-year-old Berkowitz “young and inexperienced.” The media were less diplomatic: Politico derided Berkowitz as Kushner’s “mini-me”; Vanity Fair dubbed him a “coffee boy.”

On Tuesday, Trump oversaw the signing of the Kushner- and Berkowitz-orchestrated Abraham Accords that officially normalized relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, as well as an agreement between Israel and Bahrain—the first such deals in over four decades. Pretty good for a coffee boy.

Criticisms of Berkowitz and Kushner were never about their age or experience, given that they came from the same crowd that celebrated the ascendance of the 30-something failed novelist Ben Rhodes to the highest reaches of power in the previous administration.

Rather, the criticisms were about the unwillingness of the two men, publicly Jewish and proudly Zionist, to kowtow to the same tired experts who have made their careers pushing the same conventional wisdom that produced nothing but stalemate. The success of the youthful Berkowitz on a project where the so-called experts have met little success is all the more proof of the intellectual bankruptcy of the experts President Donald Trump has so often dismissed—in this case, rightly so.

Budowsky: Trump's seven deadly sins could doom

President Trump’s political strategy in 2020 repeats his strategy in the 2018 midterms that doomed the Republican Party to suffer a historic defeat. Here are seven deadly sins that Trump is committing today. Some are deadly in real life to tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans. Others could be politically fatal to Republican House and Senate candidates in November.

Sin No. 1:
The Bob Woodward book “Rage” provides the smoking gun about Trump’s dishonesty and failures combatting the novel coronavirus.

It was monumentally scary that Trump would tell Woodward early on that he fully understood the extreme and deadly danger the virus creates, and then spent months failing to lead and acting as though the virus would disappear like a miracle. In a recent interview with Woodward, he praised himself for his performance that will soon leave 200,000 dead and claimed, obviously falsely, that he had done everything possible to defeat the virus.

Trump was transparently dishonest with the American people. He repeatedly refused to take actions that would have saved tens of thousands of lives. He disrespected leading medical authorities including Anthony Fauci. He has a political operative at the Department of Health and Human Services who tries to censor or corrupt reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, whose experts he shamefully accuses of “sedition” and being willing to accept more Americans dying before the election. He repeatedly holds rallies that are aggressive superspreaders of COVID -19.

There is extreme danger of a major new COVID-19 wave when the flu season begins soon. If this happens, which is likely, Trump and Republicans in the House and Senate will totally own it and pay the price politically.

Sin No. 2:
Trump’s attack on early voting, and his attempts to delegitimize our democratic election itself, constitute an attack against American democracy that offends millions of voters, inspires Democrats to a massive early voting campaign, and deters Republicans from voting by mail.

Trump’s attack is offensive to patriots who believe in democracy, seniors who are told by Trump they must risk their lives in order to vote, and moms and dads with family reasons to vote by mail.

Sin No. 3:
Trump’s verbal violence, refusal to condemn certain hate groups and the appearance that his behavior foments or provokes violence hurts him politically and helps Biden — who voters see as more capable of handling both peaceful protests and violence in communities.

Biden is now the leading candidate of safety, protection and law and order, as well as racial justice and national unity.

Sin No. 4:
Trump has repeatedly insulted military leaders, insulted American POWs by saying he prefers troops who were not captured, and is credibly quoted as saying that Americans who lose their lives in war are “losers” and “suckers.” A recent poll in Military Times found that Biden leads the vote of active-duty troops. A growing number of retired military leaders, veterans and members of military families are speaking out against Trump.

Biden is the candidate of military families and national security.

Sin No. 5:
Trump and Republicans oppose significant aid to state governments. This is a direct attack against police, firefighters and first responders who will be laid off if Trump and Republicans prevail.

Sin No. 6:
Trump’s contempt for the integrity and knowledge of science is so extreme that while fires rage throughout the West, Trump denies that climate change exists, and while COVID-19 kills hundreds of thousands of Americans, Trump denies the truths that leading medical authorities plead with him to respect and act on.

Sin No. 7:
the obsessive push by Trump and Republicans in Congress to destroy ObamaCare while health care is a paramount issue during an outbreak of the most deadly disease in a century threatens the lives and safety of Americans.

Biden and Democrats are the party of patriotism, optimism, unity, health, security and safety for Americans who are gravely endangered by Trump’s deadly sins.

The FAKE NEWS CYCLE, quick, duck here comes ANOTHER one.

The walls are closing in, a BOMBSHELL, we've got him this time

Hopefully we won't have to endure much of this during Trump's second term

Nope. Recorded statements of Trump himself.

The story is debunked
Nope. See above.

Just compare the end of a Biden event with the press to what President Trump has to endure. If you watch closely you may be able to detect a difference.
