But yet, people still decide with their own personal freedom to go to a bar?
Washington Post: “States that have reopened bars experienced a doubling in the rate of coronavirus cases three weeks after the opening of doors, on average. The Post analysis — using data provided by SafeGraph, a company that aggregates cellphone location information — found a statistically significant national relationship between foot traffic to bars one week after they reopened and an increase in cases three weeks later.”
Well this one takes a genius. We are told to stay inside for 14 days, which turns into 30 days, which turns into 60 days, etc, etc... to flatten the curve. By definition, the idea of flattening the curve is that people are going to catch the virus eventually, but let's not all catch it at once.
OMG RUN!!!! There are people sitting at the bar! |
So by that very same definition, when we lift these restriction we should all expect that there will be an increase in people catching the virus. It really doesn't seem to matter how long you keep everyone pent up in their homes, the results will still be the same:
News flash:. more people will become infected when you reopen than when everyone is hiding in their houses. Every expert agrees and nobody with any clout has ever suggested differently. I mean... duh?
Why is it that these idiotic media morons report this sort of thing as if it is some sort of criminal action? How is it that ANYONE is dumb enough to fall for this sort of thing and repeat it... as if it actually matters?
Especially considering that now that most reasonable people understand that even if you do catch the virus (which is still way more unlikely than not), the changes of serious illness or death is incredibly small unless you have some very serious preexisting conditions that leaves you susceptible to respiratory issues. A healthy person under the age of 65 or so literally has a more prevalent chance of dying if they contract the seasonal flu or pneumonia than they do from Covid.
What we literally have here are Governors who have followed through with their promises that the stay at home orders were temporary and only designed to flatten the curve and mitigate in the short term... vs those who lied to us about these restrictions just being a temporary measure to flatten the curve.
Why is is that some now believe that dishonesty is some sort of virtue?
The only thing I can figure out is that this is one of those statistics that "reinforces" the belief system of those who would prefer we all wear full body suits in public, stay indoors 99% of the time, stay 20 feet away from anyone else, and live in plastic bubbles until a vaccine is delivered. Why they continue to be upset with those Americans who want to move forward with their lives and actually live them is a mystery to me, other than those Americans do not "reinforce" their own paranoid beliefs.
The reality is that only those still afraid of their own shadows are the only ones who care about this sort of statistic. Those going to the bars, restaurants, shopping centers, etc... obviously don't care about this sort of statistic, otherwise they would be holed up like the others. So why do people shove these things in other people's faces as if it matters to them?
Trust me... it doesn't. It's exactly like the tree that falls in the forest. Yeah, it fell but I didn't hear it, see it, I certainly don't care that it fell, and the fact that it fell doesn't change my plans for the weekend.

Biden Campaign Says Trump Rallies Will Kill People
2:09 pm EDT
Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillion forcefully defended the Democratic nominee’s pandemic-altered campaign activities, asserting Tuesday that “people will die” because of rallies held by President Trump that shirk safety precautions aimed at preventing transmission of the novel coronavirus, Politico reports.
Trump’s ‘Law and Order’ Message Bombs In Wisconsin
1:49 pm EDT
The most interesting finding in the new CNN poll in Wisconsin:
When likely voters were asked whether they approve of the candidates’ handling of the “situation in Kenosha,”
President Trump is underwater at
42% to 54% (-12),
while Joe Biden is at
48% to 42% (+6).
WOW. EPIC "LAW AND ORDER" FAIL FOR TRUMP! EVEN REGARDING KENOSHA!
Democrats Plan to Mail Ballots Earlier Than Republicans
1:14 pm
A NBCLX/YouGov poll finds that 65% of Democrats who say they plan to vote by mail expect to send their ballots off at least a month before Election Day,
compared to just 49% of independents
and 40% of Republicans who responded the same way.
Just 8% of Democrats who said they’ll vote by mail plan to wait until the last week before Nov. 3 to cast their ballots,
compared to 14% of independents
and 18% of Republicans.
Biden Leads In Florida
1:04 pm
A new Monmouth poll in Florida finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in the presidential race, 50% to 45% among registered voters.
Under a likely voter scenario with a somewhat higher level of turnout than in 2016, the race is unchanged at
50% for Biden and
45% for Trump.
The margin narrows slightly to
49% Biden and
46% Trump when using a likely voter model with lower turnout.
According to RealClearPolitics,
Biden is now trending UP
in the top battleground states,
trending
UP in Florida,
UP in Wisconsin,
UP in North Carolina
and is trending down only in Arizona.
AND THIS STILL REMAINS UNCHANGED:

‘Denial Across the Board’ In White House on Virus, Woodward Says
2:53 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Bob Woodward told the Washington Post that, while researching his new book, he found “denial across the board” among White House staffers about the severity of the coronavirus,
and blamed President Trump for being a “bulldozer” who rejects opposing views.
Said Woodward:
“He’s a bulldozer to the staff and,
quite frankly, to the country.
And he just says what he wants,
and so there’s no control.
And this is one of the problems of the Trump presidency,
that he doesn’t build a team.
He doesn’t plan.”
_____________
Our best Presidents have always been those who sought out and encouraged thinking different from their own, in order to test their own thinking.
Trump does nothing but assume that he is right, no matter what.
And when he's caught at lying,
he just keeps on lying.
The Goebbels strategy.
Democrats really don't like Trump rallies and boat parades.
Maybe because they are celebrations of life and not doom and gloom.
To Democrats existing behind the wall in your house or apartment in fear is the only future they foresee or want.
But most people don't want to merely exist. They want to live. And will take a calculated risk to do just that.
In summery Trump supporters are the heirs to Americans who tamed a continent.
While Biden supporters are fearful mice scurrying behind a wall.
I herewith invite Cali to reply to my posts at 1:42 and 1:45 which are on the subject of the thread.
They are as dumb as you when it comes to basic math and biology
Have you figured out the volume under a curve is constant whether it spikes or is flattened???
I just told my wife that she and I are fearful mice scurrying behind a wall.
She replied,
'Why are we fearful? We do the reasonable things."
Not a very good answer, Cali, to this:
What are you going to say in the future as more and more people say what a young Republican woman recently said:
"My father would still be alive if he hadn't listened to and believed President Trump"?
Of course it isn’t a good answer because you are basically stupid.
You don’t understand math or biology.
Did you figure out the volume under a curve is constant
Answer the question pederast
I guess if you asked that young woman,
"Did your father figure out the volume under a curve is constant whether it spikes or is flattened?"
she would say,
"No he just believed the President when he downplayed wearing masks and told us the virus was no worse than the flu and would soon disappear."
So you are either a liar for not answering the question or just fucking stupid.
Glad it’s settled, pedo
TRUMP TO WOODWARD:
This thing is a killer if it gets you. If you’re the wrong person, you don’t have a chance.
WOODWARD: Yes, yes, exactly.
TRUMP: So this rips you apart.
WOODWARD: This is a scourge. And–
TRUMP: It is the plague.
____________
Trump told Woodward that,
but didn't tell her father that.
And so he died, didn't he?
That's a FAR more important question, isn't it?
You can’t change it dumbass until there is a vaccine.
This is over your head, because you’re a simpleton
Tell that to that young woman about her father.
T The director general of the Public Health Agency of Sweden has said the lack of lockdown was a success because it meant messages to the public were clear and consistent, and placed emphasis on personal responsibility. This approach, he says, meant people understood the guidelines and personal actions they needed to take in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
It’s in bold as well dumbass so maybe you can understand
Fuck you’re just dumb
Tell that to that young woman about her father.
She might simply say,
"Trump lied.
My father died."
Which shows public education has been a disaster for DECADES.
ESPECIALLY EVIDENT FOR TRUMP SUPPORTERS LIKE YOU MOUTH OF THE SOUTH!!!!!!!!!! DR. Malcolm Kendrick is another example!!!!!!!

More than three months later, the coronavirus is blamed for 5,420 deaths in Sweden, according to the World Health Organization. That might not sound especially horrendous compared with the more than 129,000 Americans who have died. But Sweden is a country of only 10 million people. Per million people, Sweden has suffered 40 percent more deaths than the United States, 12 times more than Norway, seven times more than Finland and six times more than Denmark.
She might simply say,
"Trump lied.
My father died."
I suppose you didn't factor in the probability that she was the one who gave her father the COVID-19 virus.
Because transmission from the young and healthy to the old and sick in the same household is the most common method of transmission.
And people who feel guilty always look around for something or someone else to blame to assuage their guilt.
Good fatty you found a 21/2 month old article when their success rate was in question.
Idiot
This 5 days old
Today, the architect of Sweden’s lighter-touch approach says the country will have “a low level of spread” with occasional local outbreaks. “What it will be in other countries, I think that is going to be more critical. They are likely to be more vulnerable to these kind of spikes. Those kind of things will most likely be bigger when you don’t have a level of immunity that can sort of put the brake on it,” he adds.
Snip
His dislike of national lockdowns is obvious. “It’s really using a hammer to kill a fly,” he insists. Instead, his approach has been about having a strategy that can work for years if needs be, rather than the constant chopping and changing seen in the rest of Europe. “We don’t see it as viable to have this kind of drastic closing down, opening and closing. You can’t open and close schools. That is going to be a disaster. And you probably can’t open and close restaurants and stuff like that either too many times. Once or twice, yes, but then people will get very tired and businesses will probably suffer more than if you close them down completely,” he says.
Try to keep up fatty a lot has changed since early July STUPID
Good mouth of the south....the statistics don't change in that article since it is from July....failure is failure you dumb fuck!!!!!...Now why don't you tell us all how the swedish minister of health would not say it was a great job when in reality the economy crashed and thousands died. He acted just like trump blowing smoke up your ass like trump does to you daily!!!!!! Dr Malcolm would be proud of your stupidity!!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Senseless, if her father believed Trump, and she did too, they would have had little reason to wear masks or social distance in each other's presence.
Yes, be sure to tell that young woman in her grief that she, not Trump, was responsible for her father's death due to his (and possibly her?) believing Trump's downplaying of the virus's seriousness.
Yeah, be sure to "factor that in."
Joe Biden just pitched a Harris Biden administration. Wtf? He's not fit for the office!
Wow fatty that was one of your more disjointed nonsensical posts among many.
if you went to the link there’s a picture (most of us would call a graph) showing how much more successful Sweden has been than the rest of the EU. But I won’t hold my breath you’re too stupid to understand it...
Donald Trump was not the first president to declare, “My first duty as president is to protect the American people, not myself.”
But no president has abandoned that duty so deliberately as Donald Trump.
When he was called upon to answer a threat to Americans so severe that it would, in barely three months, leave more dead than were killed in World War I, Trump started lying. And he has never stopped.
The president downplayed the danger of the coronavirus pandemic in the critical early stages of the fight — which the president would eventually describe as “our big war” — and he has continued to lie as the death toll has ticked upward, past 100,000, past 150,000, past 175,000. U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Town of Vermont, speaks the agonizing truth when he says of the president: “He knew and he did nothing — in fact, he willfully minimized its global threat.”
Watch Now: Couple returns to find home destroyed in wildfire, and more of today's top videos
In short order, the death toll will surpass 200,000.
Tens of thousands of those deaths were preventable. But Trump’s lies made them inevitable.
This is not hyperbole.
This is not election season exaggeration.
This is the stark fact of Donald Trump’s infamy — a deliberate dereliction of duty that in a time of declared war might well be identified as “treasonous.”
On Feb. 7, after he had been briefed in detail on COVID-19, Trump told The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward, “This is deadly stuff.”
“You just breathe the air,” the president explained, “and that’s how it’s passed.”
A president who recognized his duty to protect the American people would have moved aggressively to address the threat, as leaders of other countries did. Instead, Trump denied the danger, with his words and deeds, until the rates of infection and death surged to levels that Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged in early August had the United States experiencing the worst coronavirus outbreak in the world.
Two weeks after he spoke to Woodward about “deadly stuff,” Trump tweeted to the world on Feb. 24, “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.” On Feb. 27, he said, “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” On March 10, he said, “And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.”
But it did not go away. It grew into a pandemic, a public health crisis of epic proportions that would quickly leave tens of thousands of Americans dead, millions infected, and tens of millions unemployed as the economy shut down. Had Trump taken a different tack, if he had taken urgent action to enforce social distancing and other precautions in early March — instead of promising “it will go away” — Columbia University analysts have determined that roughly 54,000 COVID-19 deaths would have been prevented.
Why didn’t the president protect the American people?
”I wanted to always play it down,” he told Woodward on March 19. “I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”
That statement was not an acknowledgement of wrongdoing. It was a description of a deliberate strategy. Trump was lying to the people he had a duty to protect. And he would keep on lying.
The Conservative Argument Against Mask Mandates is Stronger than the Media Pretends
So, what changed? Those who claim that somehow the science was suddenly fundamentally altered seem to not understand that the issue of mask usage and viruses had been previously studied for many years with ambiguous results.
Even the experts listed here have not tried to make that weak argument. Instead they have essentially admitted having lied about the importance of public mask usage at the beginning of this in order to prevent a run on masks. They also argue that they advised against universal mask wearing at a time when the extent of asymptomatic spread of the virus was not known. To liberals, this appears to be a perfectly satisfactory explanation which leaves their (particularly Fauci’s) lofty position as infallible religious figures untarnished, but to conservatives this self-serving clarification is obvious bull-crap.
The “We misled the public because we didn’t want a run on masks” justification is inconsistent with the tone and the substance of what was said back in March, especially by Fauci, and, even if true, certainly should bring into grave question the credibility of everything else these soothsaying experts have said in this realm (it should be at least noted that Fauci’s own mask adherence has been rather suspect).
So what was really going on? To many conservatives, an alternative narrative is quite obvious.
What changed everyone’s mind was not based on science, the argument goes, but in the politics of self-interest. At the start of this nightmare, no one could have dreamed that a formerly freedom-loving nation like the United States would ever embrace a government edict forcing people to wear masks, but two critical developments changed that presumption.
The first is that, thanks largely to grotesquely overwrought media coverage, abject fear gripped the American psyche. When humans are terrified, they naturally resort to something which will give them a sense of some control over their situation. In this case, the mask became like a child’s security blanket helping them fend off the monsters under their bed.
The president told Fox News viewers on March 24: “I brought some numbers here. We lose thousands and thousands of people a year to the flu. We don’t turn the country off, I mean every year. Now when I heard the number — you know, we average 37,000 people a year. Can you believe that? And actually this year we’re having a bad flu season. But we lose thousands of people a year to the flu. We never turn the country off. We lose much more than that to automobile accidents. We didn’t call up the automobile companies, say, 'Stop making cars. We don’t want any cars anymore.' We have to get back to work.”
What Trump did was unconscionable because, as Pocan reminds us, “The president’s job is to the lead the country, not deceive it.”
Americans are not naive. They know that politicians lie. But there are still a great many Americans who find it hard to imagine that a president would lie about matters of death.
In the spring and summer of 2020, tens of millions of Americans took their president seriously. They believed him as he downplayed the pandemic, week after week, month after month, and engaged in what Trump admitted last week was cheerleading.
One of the Americans who believed Trump was Mark Anthony Urquiza, a 65-year-old Arizonan who died June 30 after more than three weeks battling COVID-19.
His daughter, Kristin Urquiza, told last month’s Democratic National Convention, “My dad, Mark Anthony Urquiza, should be here today, but he isn’t. He had faith in Donald Trump. He voted for him, listened to him, believed him and his mouthpieces when they said that coronavirus was under control and going to disappear; that it was okay to end social distancing rules before it was safe; and that if you had no underlying health conditions, you’d probably be fine."
“My dad was a healthy 65-year-old," Urquiza said. "His only preexisting condition was trusting Donald Trump, and for that, he paid with his life.”
Mark Anthony Urquiza was not alone. Trump’s deliberate deception and dereliction of duty has led thousands to their deaths. The toll rises with each passing day, and Trump keeps saying, as he did Thursday, “Calm, no panic!”
Wrong — panic!
This presidency is America’s preexisting condition. Until it is ended, Donald Trump will continue to lie, and Americans will continue to die.
https://madison.com/opinion/column/john_nichols/john-nichols-tens-of-thousands-of-those-deaths-were-preventable-donald-trump-s-lies-made/article_8ba63543-1051-5a5b-b42d-bdb79a3d5b91.html

I have been wearing a mask in stores (and limiting my trips) since March when this whole thing went down.
I’m not sure how being considerate to others for the common good is now being mocked by some who are calling it “living in fear”, but it needs to stop....
When I wear a mask over my nose and mouth in public and in the stores/Supermarkets/Pharmacies/Offices - I want you to know the following:
I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.
No, I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
I don't feel like the "government controls me". I feel like I'm an adult contributing to the security in our society and I want to teach others the same.
If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place.
Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled". It makes me caring and responsible.
When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people's opinion of you, imagine a loved one - a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger - placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member allowed at their bedside.....Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little by wearing a mask.

GOP Senators Suddenly Defend Obamacare Provisions
September 15, 2020 at 4:38 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
“Republican senators facing tough re-election fights this fall are expressing support for insurance protections for people with pre-existing medical conditions, running ads at odds with their own recent votes and policy positions,” NBC News reports.
“The latest example came Tuesday when Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO), who has voted repeatedly to repeal the Obamacare law that established those federal protections, released an emotional ad in which he sits with his mother and discusses her successful battle with cancer.”

President Trump Signs Historic Abraham Accords With Israel, UAE, and Bahrain
Flashback:
The Entire Left (Both the Media and Elected Officials) Claimed Trump Would "Destroy" Peace in the Middle East
http://ace.mu.nu/archives/390232.php
When he opened up the country a few months ago. This is what happened
And of course, the rebound came, with cases across the nation rising by 46 percent and deaths increasing by 21 percent in June. The states that followed Trump's misguidance posted new daily highs and higher percentages of positive tests than those that did not. By early July several hospitals in Texas were full of COVID-19 patients. States had to close up again, at tremendous economic cost. About 31 percent of workers were laid off a second time, following the giant wave of unemployment—more than 30 million people and countless shuttered businesses—that had already decimated the country. At every stage, Trump has rejected the unmistakable lesson that controlling the disease, not downplaying it, is the path to economic reopening and recovery.
If we open up again the death rates will increase dramatically, according to scientists. Scott and his pathological President doesn't care about that because if the economy improves he might win, but tens of millions of Americans will die alone.

The complaint was filed by a nurse, Dawn Wooten, in cooperation with a coalition of immigrant rights groups led by Project South, a nonprofit activist group.
The complaint accuses the Irwin County Detention Center, operated by the private prison contractor LaSalle Corrections detention center, of a litany of health and safety violations. But its most explosive claim is that immigrant women held there are subjected to hysterectomies, which it says are performed unusually frequently.
The detainees, many of whom have limited English skills, were allegedly sent to a gynecologist outside the facility who performed the hysterectomies, often without them fully understanding why they were getting the procedure done. One woman was told it was because she had a “thick womb” or “heavy bleeding,” even though she had never experienced heavy bleeding or been told by a doctor previously that she had a thick womb, according to the complaint.
“Several immigrant women” have told Project South about the hysterectomies, the complaint says. One woman, who is not named in the complaint, told the nonprofit that she talked to five immigrants who had the procedure done between October and December 2019.
Wooten, who is named in the complaint, said the frequency of hysterectomies has raised concerns for her and other nurses: “We’ve questioned among ourselves, like, goodness he’s taking everybody’s stuff out. … That’s his specialty, he’s the uterus collector.”

They flew Joe Biden all the way to Florida only to have him:
wave hello to an empty field
get greeted by a bunch of Trump supporters
call his ticket the "Harris/Biden Administration"
and leave barely an hour later.
He should have just stayed at home.
Of course Harris was told she was not welcome at a Florida restaurant yesterday, so he needed to try and make amends. Well I guess he actually didn't.
And now we have made great strides to middle east peace due to President Trump and the exact opposite in democrat run cities.
Explains the run on popcorn.
NEW: A whistleblower report filed Monday with the Department of Homeland Security alleges widespread medical malpractice at a Georgia immigration detention center, including denial of coronavirus testing and treatment and "red flags regarding the rate at which hysterectomies are performed on immigrant women." The complaint sounds the alarm that Spanish-speaking immigrant women may not have understood or given full consent when doctors gave hysterectomies and that at least one doctor over-prescribes the procedure.

1. This happen durning the Obama administration.
2. I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar there's was a legitimate medical need for the procedures and that any review of medical records will bear that out.
Sounds like a disgruntle employee.

Turns out that blowing up evil Iranian generals was a WAAAY better Middle East peace strategy than giving Iran a pallets of cash.

What is occurring at the White House right now is nothing short of remarkable. Israel gaining more recognition in the Middle East moved the region closer to peace. Heretofore one of the the most elusive quagmires in geopolitics.
They said it could not be done.
Its Happening.
Must be another "magic wand"
Never have see the left so angry.
Will be a fiery night in dem cities
They happened in 2017 and 2019
You know this how.
Obama of course is not to blame nor is anyone else because nothing was wrong or improper.
Clueless one.
Did I also mention that the western fires and hurricane coverage were pretty good also!!!!!!! Seems to me the signing occurred on a very rich news day which did not meet your biased expectations!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
