I find it amazing that liberals are attempting to blame Trump for the economic slump associated with Covid-19 lock downs. This is especially amazing because these economy killing lock downs were much harsher and went on much longer in states controlled by Democratic Governors. If one didn't know any better, you might believe that these extended lock downs were and still are part of some master plan to take down the economy (and with it one of Trump's best selling points).
At this point the blue state strategy seems to be, allow your state to be overrun by blm and antifa thugs, refuse federal assistance in squelching the violence, lock down your economy and literally arrest and jail people who attempt to make a living... and then blame Trump for all the woes associated with it.
But if we go take a ride in the way-back machine and look at where things were eight years ago... the media lackeys were still talking about a "Bush recession" as the main cause of the economic problems. Which of course is unusual since the country had literally spent trillions (approved by Obama and Democrats in congress) to turn things around.
So no matter what... it's never going to be a Democrat's fault for anything. It will always be blamed on a Republican, even if that Republican is four years out of office or quite literally stood against everything that caused the current problems.

President Donald Trump acknowledged the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic in a February interview with journalist Bob Woodward, and acknowledged downplaying the threat in a March interview, according to an account of Woodward's new book.
“I wanted to always play it down. I don't want to create a panic," Trump said in a March 19 call with Woodward, according to an audio clip posted on The Washington Post's website. The newspaper obtained a copy of his book "Rage," which is scheduled to be released next week.
"I still like playing it down. I don't want to create a panic," Trump said in an audio clip posted on The Post's website.
Trump was briefed on the virus in January, according to Woodward.
"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward in a Feb. 7 phone call.
“You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed,” Trump told Woodward, according to the Washington Post. “And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flu.”
The book says Trump was given dire warnings in January about the virus that would lead to a worldwide pandemic in March.
“This will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency,” national security adviser Robert O’Brien told Trump on Jan 28, according to the book. “This is going to be the roughest thing you face.”
Trump blocked some Chinese nationals from coming into the country in the days after the briefing, but continued to play down the danger posed by the virus and repeatedly compared it to the flu.
“We only have five people. Hopefully, everything's going to be great,” Trump said on Jan. 30. A few days later, he said, “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”
On March 9, weeks after he told Woodward the coronavirus was more than five times deadlier than the flu, Trump tweeted, "So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!"

The new national telephone and online survey finds Biden with 48% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Trump’s 46%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, while three percent (3%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
A week ago, Biden held a four-point lead following the two national party conventions. The former vice president has bested Trump in every weekly survey since the beginning of July, but this is the first time Trump has edged above 45%.

A man who kept his cool while Florida deputies detained him now has a new job — with law enforcement.
According to a Facebook post from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Griffin was taking a jog in Deltona last month when deputies stopped him for matching the description of a burglary suspect.
“African American male, with a white tank top and black shorts, initially,” the former military officer recounted to Click Orlando. “Of course, it was pretty scary. I didn’t know what was going on at first when he approached me.”
Griffin, 28, said his military training fared him well and taught him to remain calm and compliant during the incident, captured on police bodycam.
“No one will say you’re wrong for being frustrated because it’s scary and frustrating,” the 28-year-old told the media outlet. “But I will say if you remain calm, at least 85 percent of the time the situation will go your way. Yes, the officer has authority, but in the end, you have control.”
The father of two, who is now a registered nurse, also live-streamed the 17 minute encounter on his Facebook page. At one point, he is handcuffed and still doesn’t react.
“If something happens to me, y’all better raise hell,” Griffin says to his followers, alluding to the recent police brutality protests and Black Lives Matter protests.
Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood was so impressed by how Griffin handled things in such a “cooperative and respectful” way that he gave him a job.
“Joseph Griffin is going to come out and join us during implicit bias training, and tell this story from his perspective,” wrote Chitwood on Facebook. “I think we can all learn from his point of view, just like he has listened to ours. Mr. Griffin is a military veteran and a medical professional, and I told him we’d train and hire him as a deputy in a second if he ever wants a new job.”
Chitwood added that the actual suspect was eventually arrested.
