Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

Remember when Barack Obama won the prize for winning an election and basically not being George W Bush?

President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, who cited the recent peace deal brokered between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

This will get under the skin of plenty of TDS inflicted haters, but the reality is that Trump actually did accomplish something here (as much as the media doesn't want to give him credit). Considering the NPP has become little more than a blatant political prize handed out to the flavor of the day (whether they deserve it or not), it's sort of surprising that Trump got nominated.

On paper, you would be hard pressed to find anything else over that time period that is more deserving of the reward. But we don't live in an objective world where logic and common sense rule the day. We live in a woke politically correct world where what you believe is more important than what you do. Look for Trump to be passed over for someone who did something less important but whom fits the mold.

Ch didn't get the joke. Numerous people are "nominated" for the prize each year. Few get it.

All you have to do in this case is look closely at the person who nominated Trump. (Knee slapping funny.)

FUN FACT: Christian Tybring-Gjedde (born 8 August 1963) is a Norwegian far-right politician, anti-immigration activist, Islamophobe and climate change denier.

Are you surprised he nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize?😏

Adolf Hitler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939.

Trump makes a bewildering confession about who's paying for his border wall
HuffPost US Sep 9th 2020 4:34AM

President Donald Trump on Tuesday seemed to finally admit that Mexico hasn’t paid to build the border wall as he has repeatedly vowed. Then he suggested yet another way he could get the cash: toll booths.

“And you know, Mexico is paying for the wall,” he said at a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday. “Just so you understand, they don’t say that. They never say it. But we’re gonna charge a small fee at the border. You know, the toll booths.

“We’re putting a small toll on and maybe we’re going to do something with remittance,” Trump added. “All the money that we spent on the wall will be coming back.”

Remittances refer to a tax or fee on payments sent overseas, such as when immigrants working in the United States send money home to family in Mexico, an idea Trump has floated in the past without much success.

Trump’s promise to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it was a signature theme of his 2016 campaign, leading to chants from the crowd at his rallies. Since the election, USA Today noted, Trump has built 300 miles of wall, although much of that was a replacement for existing border fencing. Just 5 miles are new wall.

Mexico hasn’t paid for it. Instead, Trump used U.S. taxpayer money for the segments of wall built during his administration and raided billions from his own defense budget to get the cash.

He also claimed Mexico would pay via the benefits the United States may receive under a renegotiated trade deal, a claim that hasn’t held up to scrutiny. And he’s suggested that Mexico would pay “through longer-term reimbursement.” That also did not happen.

Trump’s confession on Tuesday suggests he realizes that even his supporters know Mexico hasn’t paid a peso for the wall.

Donald Trump's private legal team have repeatedly tried and failed to make E. Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit go away. As of late yesterday, the Justice Department filed court documents, declaring its intention to represent the president in the case.

The Justice Department, which is supposed to act as an independent federal law enforcement agency, argued that under the Federal Tort Claims Act, or FTCA, its lawyers can usurp Trump's private legal team and change the venue from New York state court to U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

"Because President Trump was acting within the scope of his office or employment at the time of the incident out of which the plaintiff's claim arose, the United States will file a motion to substitute itself for President Trump in this action for any claim for which the FTCA provides the exclusive remedy," the department argued in its court filing.

As NBC News' report added, "The federal act gives federal government employees immunity from lawsuits. However, it is highly unusual for the Justice Department to intervene in a private legal matter on behalf of a sitting president."

He has denied to provide a DNA sample to verify the evidence on her clothing.

Trump has been running his campaign, on his own feelings. It is pretty obvious, with his rambling speeches.

Well, he's doubling down on the debate!

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has not held a single mock debate session, and has no plans to stage a formal practice round, as he readies for his first faceoff with Joe Biden in less than three weeks, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions.

The president has dismissed the typical debate preparations he participated in four years ago, joking to aides and allies that he’s been preparing for debates since he was born. His ability to fire back at an opponent in real time, he’s argued, “isn’t something you have to practice.”

Since the two conversations, Biden's lead has been steady.

He won't be able to stand close behind Biden, like he did in the last election.

If Biden can look like a stable candidate, compared to the rambling speeches by the President, he can deal the deal.

Woodward book: Trump says he knew coronavirus was ‘deadly’ and worse than the flu while intentionally misleading Americans

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bob-woodward-rage-book-trump/2020/09/09/0368fe3c-efd2-11ea-b4bc-3a2098fc73d4_story.html

...or like, you know, being endorsed for President by Osama Bin Laden’s niece Noor Bin Laden."

Who said this?

“ISIS proliferated under the Obama/Biden administration, leading to them coming to Europe. Trump has shown he protects America and us by extension from foreign threats by obliterating terrorists at the root and before they get a chance to strike...”

(a) Tucker Carlson
(b) Sean Hannity
(c) Kurt Schlichter
(d) Osama bin Laden's niece

The answer is, of course, (d) Osama bin Laden's niece, Noor bin Ladin (whose branch of the family deliberately spells their surname differently), who, according to her first-even interview she gave to the NY Post, she's a yuuuge Trump fan, calling the 2020 election the most important in a generation:

“I have been a supporter of President Trump since he announced he was running in the early days in 2015. I have watched from afar and I admire this man’s resolve,” she said. “He must be re-elected … It’s vital for the future of not only America, but Western civilization as a whole.”

“You look at all the terrorist attacks that have happened in Europe over the past 19 years. They have completely shaken us to the core … [Radical Islam] has completely infiltrated our society,” bin Ladin continued. “In the US it’s very worrying that the left has aligned itself completely with the people who share that ideology.”

Does she have someone particular in mind? Oh yes, she does:

“You do have a situation now in America where you have people like Ilhan Omar who actively hate your country,” bin Ladin said, noting how Omar had urged “compassionate” sentences for 13 ISIS recruits busted in her home state of Minnesota.

alky sees the "bin ladin" name and like a reflexively retarded liberal, likens her to her shitstain uncle. the shitstain uncle that 0linsky was oh so careful in not desecrating his corpse in the finest moose-limb tradition.

"President Donald Trump’s flourishing support among Latino voters is making Joe Biden’s path to victory this November all the more difficult.

A slew of new polls from both the national level and prime swing states indicates that the incumbent is not only outperforming his 2016 numbers among Latinos, but appears to poised to receive the highest share of the demographic since 2004. The trend, which has been noticeable for several weeks, was exhibited over the past week in two different polls."

Pence was the president’s one constant booster publicly and privately in Woodward’s book. When Coats considered resigning because of Trump’s handling of Russia, Pence urged him to “look on the positive side of things that he’s done. More attention on that. You can’t go.”

The loathing was mutual. “Not to mention my fucking generals are a bunch of pussies. They care more about their alliances than they do about trade deals,” Trump told White House trade adviser Peter Navarro at one point, according to Woodward.

The book charts the Trump administration’s failings and missteps on the pandemic, including the decisions and actions of Pottinger, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield, infectious-disease expert Anthony S. Fauci and others.

Fauci at one point tells others that the president “is on a separate channel” and unfocused in meetings, with “rudderless” leadership, according to Woodward. “His attention span is like a minus number,” Fauci said, according to Woodward. “His sole purpose is to get reelected.”

In one Oval Office meeting recounted by Woodward, after Trump had made false statements in a news briefing, Fauci said in front of him: “We can’t let the president be out there being vulnerable, saying something that’s going to come back and bite him.” Pence, Kushner, chief of staff Mark Meadows and senior policy adviser Stephen Miller tensed up at once, Woodward writes, surprised Fauci would talk to Trump that way.

Woodward describes Fauci as particularly disappointed in Kushner for talking like a cheerleader as if everything was great. In June, as the virus was spreading wildly coast to coast and case numbers soared in Arizona, Florida, Texas and other states, Kushner said of Trump, “The goal is to get his head from governing to campaigning.”

Woodward writes that Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) suggested former president George W. Bush speak personally with Trump about global vaccine efforts, but that Bush demurred.

“No. No,” Bush told Graham, according to Woodward. “He’d misconstrue anything I said.”

In their final interview, on July 21, Trump vented to Woodward, “The virus has nothing to do with me. It’s not my fault.”
