It's Biden, not Trump who will not condemned those who are committing the violence!
Regarding Charlottesville
Trump: "Those people -- all of those people – excuse me, I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups. But not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists by any stretch. Those people were also there because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue of Robert E. Lee."
Trump: "As I said on -- remember, Saturday -- we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America. And then it went on from there. Now, here’s the thing --"
Trump: "So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.
Regarding blm and Antifa riots:
Biden: There is no such thing as antifa. Antifa is an idea, not an organization.

Trump Sends Mixed Messages on Pandemic Relief
October 7, 2020 at 6:44 am
“President Trump pulled the plug on ongoing bipartisan coronavirus relief talks in an abrupt move that jolted Wall Street and surprised lawmakers of both parties, but hours later called on Congress to approve a bill providing another direct check to many Americans,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
Late last night, Trump urged both houses of Congress to “IMMEDIATELY” revive a lapsed loan program for small businesses and to approve funds for airlines and another round of stimulus checks.
New York Times: “It remained unclear if his tweets reflected a willingness to restart negotiations.”
TRUMP IS NOW SAYING HE HAS CHANGED HIS MIND.

How Kamala Harris Has Stacked Up
6:25 am Politico:
“Joe Biden’s selection of Harris has excited Democrats. She’s helped him raise money at a record clip. She is Biden’s highest-profile surrogate to swing-state cities like Milwaukee, Detroit and Philadelphia, with a particular focus on courting voters of color, including African Americans and Latinos.
“Harris appears solo and alongside Biden in TV ads, a rarity for a VP contender, and stars in digital videos pumped out by the campaign. She’s become the 77-year-old nominee’s emissary to pop culture, making appearances with musical icons, sitting for podcasts geared toward non-political audiences and drawing millions of views for brief videos of her stepping off the plane in Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. The verdict: Harris, with a few exceptions, has hit her marks.”
She'll be hitting another one tonight.
Pity poor Pence.

Barrett Served as ‘Handmaid’ In Christian Group
7:29 am
“While Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett has faced questions about how her Catholic faith might influence her jurisprudence, she has not spoken publicly about her involvement in People of Praise, a small Christian group founded in the 1970s and based in South Bend, Ind,” the Washington Post reports.
“Barrett, a federal appellate judge, has disclosed serving on the board of a network of private Christian schools affiliated with the group. The organization, however, has declined to confirm that she is a member. In recent years, it removed from its website editions of a People of Praise magazine — first those that included her name and photograph and then all archives of the magazine itself.
“A 2010 People of Praise directory states that she held the title of ‘handmaid,’ a leadership position for women in the community.”

AOC is concerned with Trump's 'perilous medical state' and thinks he shouldn't be making 'dramatic decisions'
Yahoo News
Oct 7th 2020 5:07AM
New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show Tuesday night where she questioned President Trump’s decision-making abilities while he’s on multiple medications for COVID-19. Trump tested positive late last week, and one of the drugs he’s reportedly taking for treatment is Dexamethasone, which can cause grandiose delusions.
“There’s a certain, just basic denial of science, and a lack of acceptance of science that we’re looking at. But you know, additionally, the president is not in a good condition,” AOC said, later adding, “I don’t think that we should be making any large political decisions when the president is in such a perilous medical state. He’s still receiving interventions and treatments and we’re in the middle of talking about, and making, dramatic decisions.”
One of those decisions was Trump’s announcement earlier in the day that he was putting a stop to any COVID-19 relief bill until after the election, an action that was condemned by AOC and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
“If the president and the GOP follow through on walking away from COVID relief, we are looking at one of — we are staring down the barrel at one of the largest mass eviction crises in the history of this country since the Great Depression. That’s what we’re looking at,” AOC said. “We are looking at a potential second wave that could be catastrophic. We are looking at the potential for hunger in the United States exploding on a level that we have never seen since the Great Depression. And all of it is preventable. All of it.”
She also addressed the rising number of White House staff and members of Trump’s inner circle that have now tested positive for COVID-19.
“On one hand, you know, I think that they’re just kind of drinking their own Kool-Aid,” AOC said. “They really started to believe that masks didn’t matter. That rapid tests, which he had known were less effective, were acceptable before a mass super-spreading event.”

Although I don’t always agree with them — how dull if I did! — I think the nation is generally well-served by Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. Thomas is a candid and original thinker whose jurisprudence is misconstrued by those who don’t bother to read or understand it. Alito is equally forthright, though the opposite of an original thinker; he is the epitome of the conservative legal tradition. Both justices have displayed an attractive disdain for showboating.
So it was disappointing to read a threadbare statement written by Thomas, joined by Alito, that was appended to a unanimous decision of the court not to hear the appeal of Kim Davis, a Kentucky public official who refused to issue marriage licenses because of her personal religious views against same-sex unions.
It was an odd document, not a dissent; just a four-page grumble about matters that may someday be a problem depending on the facts of unknown future cases. The justices might consider woodworking, because, from the looks of this, they don’t have enough to keep them busy. The statement, which carries no legal weight, is essentially a cry from the heart on behalf of Americans whose religious views condemn same-sex marriage. Fair enough: The freedom to hold beliefs different from those of the mainstream is a cherished aspect of American liberty. But the statement crosses into sophistry by suggesting that religious liberties are somehow

Dems have basically unlimited funds but are wrong on the issues. I see Collins opponent in Maine has run into some serious issues too with a top aid. And at some point spending too much money can turn into a negative, people resent that.
Look at Hillary in 2016.

Biden has vowed to be a president for all Americans, even those who do not support him. In previous elections, such a promise might have sounded trite or treacly. Today, the idea that the president should have the entire nation’s interests at heart feels almost revolutionary.
Mr. Biden has also vowed to “restore the soul of America.” It is a painful reminder that the country is weaker, angrier, less hopeful and more divided than it was four years ago. With this promise, Mr. Biden is assuring the public that he recognizes the magnitude of what the next president is being called upon to do. Thankfully, he is well suited to the challenge — perhaps particularly so.
Kathleen Kingsbury, acting editorial page editor, wrote about the choice to endorse Joe Biden for president in a special edition of our Opinion Today newsletter. You can read it here.
In the midst of unrelenting chaos, Mr. Biden is offering an anxious, exhausted nation something beyond policy or ideology. His campaign is rooted in steadiness, experience, compassion and decency.
A President Biden would embrace the rule of law and restore public confidence in democratic institutions. He would return a respect for science and expertise to the government. He would stock his administration with competent, qualified, principled individuals. He would stand with America’s allies and against adversaries that seek to undermine our democracy. He would work to address systemic injustices. He would not court foreign autocrats or give comfort to white supremacists. His focus would be on healing divisions and rallying the nation around shared values. He would understand that his first duty, always, is to the American people.
But Mr. Biden is more than simply a steady hand on the wheel. His message of unity and pragmatism resonated with Democratic voters, who turned out in large numbers to elevate him above a sprawling primary field.
His team has put together a bold agenda aimed at tackling some of America’s most pressing problems. The former vice president is committed to working toward universal health care through measures such as adding a public option to the Affordable Care Act — which he played a significant role in passing — lowering the age for Medicare eligibility to 60 years old and cutting the cost of prescription drugs. He recognizes the fateful threat of climate change and has put forward an ambitious, $2 trillion plan to slash carbon emissions, invest in a green economy and combat environmental racism.
Mr. Biden will not be morphing into an ideological maximalist any time soon, but he has acknowledged that the current trifecta of crises — a lethal pandemic, an economic meltdown and racial unrest — calls for an expanded governing vision. His campaign has been reaching out to a wide range of thinkers, including former rivals, to help craft more dynamic solutions. In midsummer, he rolled out an economic recovery plan, dubbed “Build Back Better,” with proposals to bolster American manufacturing, spur innovation, build a “clean-energy economy,” advance racial equity and support caregivers and educators. His plan for fighting the coronavirus includes the creation of a public health jobs corps. Progressives who want even more from him should not be afraid to push. Experience is not the same as stagnation.
Mr. Biden has a long and distinguished record of accomplishment, including, as a senator, sponsoring the landmark Violence Against Women Act of 1994 and, as vice president, overseeing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, passed in response to the Great Recession. In a 2012 interview on “Meet the Press,” his remarks in support of gay marriage — which blindsided the Obama White House and caused a public kerfuffle — proved a watershed moment for the cause of equality. In 1996, Mr. Biden had voted as a senator in favor of the Defense of Marriage Act, which prohibited federal recognition of same-sex marriages, making his evolution on the issue particularly resonant.
Mr. Biden has the necessary chops, having spent much of his career focused on global concerns. He not only took on thorny diplomatic missions as vice president, he also served more than three decades on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Aware that an “America First” approach in reality amounts to “America alone,” he would work to revive and refurbish damaged alliances. He has the respect and trust of America’s allies and would not be played for a fool by its adversaries.
Certainly, not all of Mr. Biden’s foreign policy decisions through the decades look sage in hindsight, but he has shown foresight in key moments. He fought a rear-guard action in the Obama White House to limit the futile surge in Afghanistan. He was against the 2011 intervention in Libya and skeptical of committing American troops to Syria. He opposed renewing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in 2007 and 2008 because it gave the government too much power to spy on Americans. He’s supported closing the prison at Guantánamo Bay. Little wonder that he has the backing of a who’s who of the foreign policy community and national security officials from both parties.
Mr. Biden is not an ideological purist or a bomb-thrower. Some will see this as a shortcoming or hopelessly naïve. Certainly, it’s unlikely that if Republicans retain control of the Senate, their leader, Mitch McConnell, will abandon his policy of fanatical obstructionism of any Democratic president.
That said, as the emissary often dispatched by President Barack Obama to deal with Republican lawmakers during tough legislative fights, Mr. Biden has intimate experience with the partisan gridlock crippling Congress. He knows how the levers of power work on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, and he has longstanding relationships with members from both parties. More than any of this cycle’s other presidential hopefuls, he offered weary voters a chance to see whether even a modicum of bipartisanship is possible.
He is also offering a glimpse of the Democratic Party’s future in his choice of running mate, Senator Kamala Harris of California. Ms. Harris would become a number of firsts — a woman, a Black person and an Asian-American — as vice president, adding history-making excitement to the ticket. A former prosecutor, she is tough, smart and can dismantle a faulty argument or political opponent. She is progressive, but not radical. In her own presidential campaign, she presented herself as a unifying leader with center-left policy proposals in a mold similar to Mr. Biden, albeit a generation younger. Mr. Biden is aware that he no longer qualifies as a fresh face and has said that he considers himself a bridge to the party’s next generation of leaders. Ms. Harris is a promising step in that direction.
If he wins election, Mr. Biden will need to take his governing agenda to the people — all of the people, not just his party’s loudest or most online voices. This will require persuading Americans that he understands their concerns and can translate that understanding into sound policy.
Mr. Biden has a rare gift for forging such connections. In his younger days, he, like so many senators, could be in love with the sound of his own voice. Time and loss have softened his edges. He speaks the language of suffering and compassion with a raw intimacy. People respond to that, across lines of race and class — ever more so in this time of uncertainty. The father of the police-shooting victim Jacob Blake described his phone conversation with Mr. Biden as full of “love, admiration, caring,” in one of many recent examples of the former vice president’s hard-earned empathy.
Mr. Biden knows that there are no easy answers. He has the experience, temperament and character to guide the nation through this valley into a brighter, more hopeful future. He has our endorsement for the presidency.
When they go to the polls this year, voters aren’t just choosing a leader. They’re deciding what America will be. They’re deciding whether they favor the rule of law, how the government will help them weather the greatest economic calamity in generations, whether they want government to enable everyone to have access to health care, whether they consider global warming a serious threat, whether they believe that racism should be treated as a public policy problem.
Mr. Biden isn’t a perfect candidate and he wouldn’t be a perfect president. But politics is not about perfection. It is about the art of the possible and about encouraging America to embrace its better angels.
Biden’s National Lead Grows
October 6, 2020 at 4:41 pm politicalwire.com
A new Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald poll finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in the presidential race nationally,
51% to 37%.
Key takeaway:
“In two days of polling before Trump got COVID, the president trailed Biden by just a
46% to 41% margin.
In the three days of polling after the coronavirus diagnosis, Biden held a
55% to 34% lead.
That means Biden’s lead grew by a whopping 16 points from pre-COVID to post-COVID.”
But that was yesterday.
Has it gotten better today?
Nope.
Republicans are growing increasingly concerned about poll numbers that show a rising Democratic wave just four weeks before Election Day as President Trump suffers one of the most brutal two-week stretches of his first term at precisely the wrong moment.
For months, Republicans and Democrats alike have confidently predicted that former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead in national and battleground state polls would tighten.
But after a new string of jarring numbers, some Republicans are beginning to fear that voters hesitant to say they will back Trump are not coming home and that the few remaining undecided voters are breaking decidedly against him — and the Republican Party as a whole.
“The conventional wisdom among Republican strategists and pollsters was that a natural tightening tends to occur post-Labor Day,” said Ken Spain, a longtime Republican strategist. “The events over the course of the last few days have thrown that into chaos.”
In just the last two weeks, Trump has suffered a steady drumbeat of bad news: The New York Times reported he paid just $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the White House and during his first year as president.
The number of Americans who have died from the coronavirus topped 200,000.

And it is obvious to anyone starting to consider their vote.
NBC News and Lester Holt hosted a town hall with Joe Biden Monday night that didn’t manage to grab much attention, seeing as the media were so laser-focused on spinning the news that President Trump was being released from Walter Reed and being allowed to quarantine at the White House, where he took off his mask (outdoors, with no one around) and shot a video telling people not to let coronavirus fears dominate them.
The Free Beacon’s Collin Anderson and David Rutz have put together a fantastic video showing a couple of undecided voters at Biden’s town hall who just happened to be featured earlier on MSNBC showing their support for Biden.

What’s been going on since Sunday is more pathetic than media malpractice. It’s a gaggle of emotional midgets in the midst of a snot-bubbling, diaper-filling tantrum that is utterly contemptible. I might be just a little sympathetic to it if they hadn’t been doing it for four years already. We’re beyond “Boy Who Cried Wolf” at this point—we’re in “let these miserable little brats cry themselves dry” territory now.
https://pjmedia.com/columns/stephen-kruiser/2020/10/06/the-morning-briefing-mainstream-media-covering-trump-needs-to-swap-diapers-for-big-boy-pants-n1006784
(CNN) - President Donald Trump's behavior has become increasingly erratic since he left hospital after he suddenly blew up congressional talks on a Covid-19 economic rescue package and falsely claimed that the coronavirus was no worse than the flu, as chaos rocks a super-spreader White House.
With uncertainty still clouding official bulletins of the President's condition, there is bewilderment in Washington at some of his irresponsible and politically questionable moves since he was discharged on Monday. But a defiant Trump continues to portray himself as a hero leader who conquered Covid-19 and is chasing his own political goals while ignoring the human and economic toll of the virus, which has now sent the top Pentagon generals into quarantine.
By reinforcing his denial of a national emergency that has killed more than 210,000 Americans, Trump is adopting a high-risk strategy that potentially offends bereaved relatives of those who died from the disease and almost everyone else who has seen their lives, schooling and family life shattered. By squelching economic rescue talks, he leaves himself open to charges of indifference to the plight of millions of Americans thrown out of work during the pandemic and who relied on now expired federal unemployment benefits.
Democratic nominee Joe Biden seized on the sense that the Trump White House is running off the rails to pledge to restore national unity and to lead the nation out of the pandemic, following in Abraham Lincoln's footsteps in warning America was again a "house divided" on the battlefield at Gettysburg, the scene of the Civil War's bloodiest clash.
Trump's latest attempts to downplay the virus --- even as he is on a regimen of strong and experimental drugs to fight his own infection -- are sure to be a centerpiece of Wednesday night's debate between Vice President Mike Pence and the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
The President on Tuesday also made his most flagrant public attempt yet to force regulators to accelerate the approval of several Covid-19 vaccines that are currently being trialed in an effort to help his own reelection prospects. The move followed a CNN report that the President had been personally pressuring drug companies to deliver on a vaccine before Election Day.
"New FDA Rules make it more difficult for them to speed up vaccines for approval before Election Day. Just another political hit job!" Trump tweeted at US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn. FDA rules require several months to elapse after patients are administered the last dose of a prototype vaccine to ensure there are no serious side effects. The practice is designed to maximize public trust in a vaccine -- the best hope of ending the pandemic -- that polls show has already been dented by Trump's politicization of the issue.
Trump's own administration meanwhile is becoming a glaring symbol of his own irresponsible approach to the crisis. White House domestic policy adviser Stephen Miller is the latest top official to test positive, bringing the number of Covid cases among White House officials to at least 11. A fourth press aide to White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany, who is at home with Covid-19, also has the virus. After blazing through the West Wing, Trump allies on Capitol Hill and in his campaign, the virus has reached the highest echelons of the US military.
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, and several other senior members of the Pentagon's leadership, are quarantining after the vice commandant of the US Coast Guard Adm. Charles Ray tested positive on Monday. Ray was at the White House on September 27 and later met other top military officers.
Pence haggles over debate screen
New Washington cases of Covid-19 came on a day when the fears of public health experts that a fall and winter spike in the disease is materializing came closer to being realized. By mid-evening, another 38,000 cases of coronavirus were recorded along with 603 deaths.

If Trump had effectively managed the COVID-19 crisis since January, the economy would be powerfully stronger than it is today and would be poised to soar in the near future. Trump’s COVID-19 failures are the sole, direct and only cause of the magnitude of economic pain that Americans endure in this American nightmare today.
Huge majorities of voters believe, correctly, that if Biden were president their lives would be safer from the virus, and it is increasingly obvious to voters that if Biden is elected and the virus is defeated their economic lives would be far better too.
The American nightmare also includes the availability of health care during the worst health crisis in a century and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
A Democratic Presidential, Senate and House of Representatives will get us out of the horror movie administration.

White House disputes Kudlow claim that Trump worked in Oval Office
The White House denied Wednesday that President Trump worked in the Oval Office on Tuesday while still suffering from coronavirus, despite an assertion otherwise from by White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow.
The state of play:
Kudlow told CNBC's "Squawk Box" that Trump had worked in the Oval with unspecified "extra precautions" to protect against the spread of the virus.
He declined to "be specific" on whether Trump wore a mask, instead insisting that "traffic is limited" in the Oval and that "additional measures ... much greater than simply masking" had been taken.
The other side:
White House communications aide Ben Williamson pushed back on Kudlow's claim, tweeting that Trump "wanted to be in the Oval Office" but instead "stayed back in the residence working from there."
"Safety preparations have been underway in the event he moves to working out of the Oval in the coming days," Williamson added.
The big picture:
Trump announced that he tested positive on Friday, though his doctors have not confirmed that timeline. The CDC states that a person can be contagious for up to 10 days after coronavirus symptoms resolve.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top infectious diseases expert, emphasized the dangers of Covid-19 on Tuesday, contradicting President Donald Trump's false claim that the coronavirus was only as deadly as the flu.
People infected with Covid-19 do display "flu-like" symptoms, Fauci said Tuesday in an interview with NBC News' Kate Snow. But the damage the coronavirus can do "is very much different from influenza."
"You don't get a pandemic that kills a million people and it isn't even over yet within influenza," said Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. "So it is not correct to say it's the same as flu. It has some overlapping symptomatology early on. But flu doesn't do the things to you that Covid-19 can..."
Instead, he reiterated the message he has been repeating for months as the country has been logging 40,000 new Covid-19 cases a day and continues to lead the world with more than 7.5 million confirmed cases.
"There are some things that should be universally practiced, and that is the universal wearing of masks, avoiding crowds, keeping a distance, doing things outdoors more than indoors and washing our hands frequently," Fauci said. "That doesn't matter who you are. That's what you should be doing."
Pressed by Snow about the "mixed messaging" coming out of the White House, Fauci said: "This is not a trivial disease. People in the United States should realize that it is not a trivial disease."
While the White House has been pushing for rapid approval of a Covid-19 vaccine, Fauci said he is on the side of the Food and Drug Administration, which released new stricter guidelines.
Trump has suggested several times, without providing evidence, that a vaccine could be ready by Election Day.
That is highly unlikely, Fauci countered, yet again.

Appeals Court Rules Against Trump on Tax Returns
10:23 am
“A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that Manhattan’s district attorney can enforce his subpoena for President Trump’s tax returns, rejecting a bid by Trump’s lawyers to kill the request and potentially setting up another showdown at the Supreme Court,” the Washington Post reports.
“Though the district attorney has agreed not to enforce his subpoena immediately while Trump asks the high court to hear his case again, the ruling marks another blow for the president, who has fought for more than a year to shield his financial records from investigators, and follows separate, jarring revelations about the enormity of his debt.”

Federal appeals court rules Trump can't block New York subpoena for his tax returns
By Kara Scannell
Updated Oct 7, 2020
(CNN) - The Manhattan district attorney can obtain President Donald Trump's tax returns, a federal appeals court ruled on Wednesday, dealing the President another setback in his effort to shield his tax returns from investigators but the case is likely to head to the Supreme Court.
The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals broadly rejected Trump's arguments that the subpoena for his records was overly broad and issued in bad faith.
"We have considered all of the President's remaining contentions on appeal and have found in them no basis for reversal," the court ruled.
The tax returns and other financial records will not immediately be turned over to prosecutors. The appeals court stayed the enforcement of the subpoena based on a joint agreement between the Manhattan district attorney and the President's legal team. Under that arrangement, there is a 12-day briefing schedule for Trump to ask the Supreme Court to stay the enforcement of the subpoena.
A spokesman for Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance declined to comment. A representative for the Justice Department said it is reviewing the ruling.
The lawsuit was the latest attempt by the President to try to block the subpoena following a Supreme Court ruling this summer that said the president did not have broad immunity from a state grand jury subpoena. Following that ruling, the President's lawyers amended their lawsuit alleging the subpoena was too broad and issued in bad faith to harass the president.
In anticipation that the appeals court would allow the subpoena and reject the President's legal arguments, lawyers for both sides agreed to hold off on enforcing the subpoena to allow the President's lawyers to ask the Supreme Court to "stay" the ruling.
Under the agreement, which the appeals court endorsed, the President's lawyers have five days to file a motion with the Supreme Court seeking a stay of subpoena. The district attorney would have five days to file a reply brief and the president's lawyers would have two days to respond.
Five Supreme Court Justices are required to agree to grant a stay. The court currently has eight members following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. If the court doesn't grant the stay, it is possible Trump's lawyer would still ask the court to hear the case on the merits, but at that point, the subpoena would be enforced.

South Carolina Senate Moves To Toss Up
Jessica Taylor
October 7, 2020
There has been no more surprising race on the Senate map than South Carolina. Even early this year, it looked like Sen. Lindsey Graham would cruise to re-election. Instead, the Republican incumbent finds himself in a tied race in both public and private surveys with challenger Jaime Harrison, who has proven to be perhaps Democrats’ best recruit and a fundraising behemoth.
“It’s a jump ball at this point,” said one South Carolina Republican strategist. “Jaime is peaking at exactly the right time and he’s got a deluge of money. [Harrison] is blocking every pass there is from Republicans.”
Even Democrats in and outside of the Palmetto State are surprised such a typically red state is truly in play. Many Republicans have privately voiced frustrations that Graham’s campaign didn’t take the challenge from Harrison — a charismatic 44-year-old African-American former state party chairman who tells a compelling story of growing up with a teen mother and being raised by his grandparents in impoverished Orangeburg — seriously enough from the get-go.
Harrison first went up on TV back in April with positive bio spots, and hasn’t gone dark since. That allowed Harrison to set the tenor of the race. And since then, he’s had a series of ads that are very clearly aimed at who they hope will be Graham’s Achilles Heel — white women. In several spots, middle age or senior women talk about how they were once longtime Graham voters but now see that he’s changed on health care and how Harrsion's "values" now more closely reflect their values. Harrison has made this race about character and in other Democratic ads they turn the tables and paint Graham as part of the "swamp," and that seems to be working.
Harrison started out the year by posting impressive fundraising totals each quarter — $7.37 million and $14 million respectively — and outraising Graham each quarter too. Democrats expect a historic third-quarter fundraising haul from Harrison too, who’s been raising money at a fast clip ($10.6 million in August alone) even before Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death last month where ActBlue donations poured into campaigns across the board.
All that has enabled Harrison to blanket the Palmetto State airwaves in a way no Democrat — or Republican either — has ever been able to do. As of Tuesday night, Harrison has spent or reserved time through Election Day on TV and digital ads of upwards of $60.3 million — an amount that’s sure to grow in the final weeks of the race. Senate Majority PAC and the DSCC have contributed too and are on air, but Harrison, who gets lower advertising rates, accounts for about 89% of the spending for Democrats. Graham, meanwhile, has spent or reserved just $20.6 million so far.

White House Cluster Linked to Spike In D.C. Infections
10:54 am New York Times:
“An event on Sept. 26 in the Rose Garden, after which a number of officials including President Trump tested positive for the virus, violated the city’s mandates limiting the size of gatherings and requiring masks. Because the White House is on federal property, however, it is exempt from such rules. Guests at the event may well have ventured into the city, but the White House has refused to comply with a municipal request for help with contact tracing. The city had its highest number of positive cases on Monday — 105 — since June, though city officials say it would take several days to determine any trend.
“At least one testing site in Washington reported that those seeking a test doubled to 600 on Monday as residents responded with concern to the cases stemming from the White House and Capitol Hill.”

Pence’s Tough Debate Task
President Trump hasn’t exactly made tonight’s vice-presidential debate easy for Mike Pence, First Read notes.
The vice president will have to defend:
*Why the president held non-socially distant and largely mask-less events at the White House – with indoor activities – from which several attendees apparently got infected by the coronavirus.
*Why Trump, after being hospitalized at Walter Reed, jumped into a hermetically sealed SUV with Secret Service agents to wave to supporters.
*Why the president, after returning to the White House, took off his mask in public, despite still being potentially contagious.
*Why Trump instructed Americans NOT to be afraid of the coronavirus, and why he compared it again to the flu.
*And why the president – over Twitter – scuttled any chance for another coronavirus aid package before the election.
None of these is easy for Pence to answer, especially a vice president who just happens to head the White House’s coronavirus task force.
____________
I would ask:
Why has he allowed that task force to be sidelined by Trump?
Why is the White House prohibiting tracing for those who might have been infected by people present at the gathering for Barrett? Is that not criminal?

facts are stubborn things, alky. i can safely assume that both Trump and ACB are quite fine with Regeneron's LEGAL use of stem cells.
As is the case with many other science-focused biotechnology companies, Regeneron uses a wide variety of research tools and technologies to help discover and develop new therapeutics. Stem cells are one such tool. The stem cells most commonly used at Regeneron are mouse embryonic stem cells and human blood stem cells. Currently, there are limited research efforts employing human-induced pluripotent stem cell lines derived from adult human cells and human embryonic stem cells that are approved for research use by the National Institutes of Health and created solely through in vitro fertilization. Research using such stem cells allows Regeneron to model complex diseases, test new drug candidates and can help unlock new scientific insights that ultimately could lead to the discovery of new treatments for people with serious diseases.
All of Regeneron’s research conducted on stem cells adheres to federal and state laws and regulations. Regeneron demands from its collaborators and vendors that all human stem cell lines used in its research are from properly consented individuals.

Daddy the troll got his bullshit from the President.
Shared Info:
TRUMP HAS WILD MELTDOWN: Several days into his COVID-19 treatment, Pres. Trump has tweeted and retweeted more than 30 times this morning, spreading blatant lies and conspiracy theories. He tweeted the lie that 'DEMS WANT TO SHUT YOUR CHURCHES DOWN, PERMANENTLY.' He has demanded that Pres. Obama be subpoenaed over a so-called 'Obamagate.' He has called for 'PATHETIC' members of the FBI and CIA to be prosecuted over the Russia investigation. He has retweeted conspiracy theory tweets from 2018. He retweeted a conspiracy theory video falsely claiming that COVID-19 isn't really responsible for the deaths of more than 210,000 Americans. He retweeted a claim that Democrats seek to 'turn us into a third world hellhole.' And he has repeatedly tweeted about Hillary Clinton— all before 9:30AM. The White House has not been transparent about the state of the president's health or the medications he is receiving.

is someone going to tell him?
Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden said, if elected, he will make “the only responsible response” to confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court, which, he said, is to ensure legislation passes that makes Roe v. Wade “the law of the land.”
On Monday evening, during an NBC town hall in Miami, Florida, Biden responded to a question by Cassidy Brown, who works in sports marketing, that expressed her concern about her inability to obtain birth control and an abortion should Amy Coney Barrett be confirmed to the Supreme Court.
“Number one, we don’t know exactly what she will do, although the expectation is that she may very well move to over … overview … overrule Roe,” Biden answered. “The only responsible response to that would be to pass legislation making Roe the law of the land. That’s what I would do.”

Joe Biden now leads Donald Trump

He leads by
7.6% in Michigan,
6.4% in Pennsylvania, and
7.1% in Wisconsin.
He leads by
4.5% in Arizona,
3.7% in Florida, and
2.3% in North Carolina.
Philip Bump:
Even if state polls are underestimating Trump as much as they did in 2016, Biden is in position to win.
AND HERE ARE SOME REASONS WHY:
Trump’s Corrupt Schemes Keep Blowing Up
12:42 pm
Greg Sargent:
“When you step back and survey the last two years of U.S. politics, one of the biggest story lines that comes into view is this:
One after another, a whole string of deeply corrupt schemes that President Trump has hatched to smooth his reelection hopes have crashed and burned.
“In all these cases,
Trump has either blown up the schemes himself
or compounded the damage they did to him when they self-destructed.
In some cases he did both.
“Meanwhile, Trump has also managed to wreck numerous opportunities that he could have easily turned to his political advantage if he had reacted to them in a non-depraved manner.
Instead, he sought to pervert or corrupt them in ways that ended up backfiring.”
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
He sowed the wind and is reaping the whirlwind.

The same people who looked like fools believing the ridiculous Hillary +14 fake news polls in 2016 - are now falling for the same exact ridiculous fake news polls again.
Something tells me, they weren’t very good at “pull my finger” when they were kids.
I know one from here.
ROFLMFAO !!!
The same people who looked like fools believing the ridiculous Hillary +14 fake news polls in 2016 - are now falling for the same exact ridiculous fake news polls again.
on several levels they just can't help themselves.
what should concern them but won't is how many democrats they're discouraging from voting. especially if the weather sucks. they run the risk of many dems saying -
"ah, fuck it. the polls say Biden has this won by a landslide so let's stay home."
Why is this happening, rat and F'N?
Oh, I know. Daily Beast is just making it all up, and rat will say the unidentified operative doesn't exist.
GOP Donors Ditching Trump In Effort to Save the Senate
9:57 am
Daily Beast:
“Increasingly convinced that President Trump’s election chances are grim, top Republican donors, lobbyists, and operatives are directing their attention to the Senate in hopes of keeping a majority in the chamber and, with it, a check on a future President Joe Biden.
“Top GOP money men said that efforts to shift resources to Republicans running for the Senate have been happening for weeks, as Trump’s chances have not improved—indeed, worsened—and as the party’s candidates have been dramatically outraised.”
Said one GOP operative:
“There is no discussion among donors about giving money to the president. The discussion among donors, bundlers and check writers is about the Senate seats.”
I asked Ch some questions on the next thread up.

White House Says Trump Is ‘Symptom Free’
1:28 pm
White House physician Dr. Sean Conley reports President Trump has been “symptom-free” from the coronavirus for over 24 hours, Axios reports.
_______
GREAT! That means he can participate and get slaughtered again in the next debate!
Whipped covid’s ass like a boss
Earlier the one who calls himself my F'n Daddy challenged me, not by answering the question I asked at 12:34, but by asking---
F'n Daddy:
Lets see if you can name even one ?
Let's see if you can list the law enforcement unions who back Biden now.
Let's see if you can list Biden's supreme court potential nominees ?
Let's see if you can get him to state his position on packing the supreme court or even the filibuster ?
Well let's end there and let you start with answering what you just posted. Bet you can't.
ROFLMFAO !!!
I WON !!!!
___________
I don't know what the hell that last sentence means, but I WILL answer you:
First, it is true that most if not all police unions have endorsed Trump, but that was before Biden clarified what his stance really was. Since them, there have been numerous officers who have endorsed Biden, some signing lists.
I pause here to find at least one example:
Since them, there have been numerous officers who have endorsed Biden, some signing lists.
I pause here to find at least one example:
LOL.
I googled it, and here are some headlines I got:
"More than 175 current, former law enforcement officials endorse Biden."
"Over 75 sheriffs and police officers endorse Biden."
"Scores of current and former law enforcement chiefs endorse Joe Biden; call Donald Trump 'a lawless President' despite wrapping his campaign in law and order rhetoric. List included 190 sheriffs, state attorneys, general prosecutors, former police chiefs and US attorneys."
Now I will go on to your next two questions.
Wow a 175
697,020 to go
Fucking idiot
1) Let's see if you can list Biden's supreme court potential nominees ?
Of course I can't because he has not made such a list. He does not have to. People can either vote for him or not vote for him based on what they know about him and whether they trust him to nominate worthy candidates.
2)Let's see if you can get him to state his position on packing the supreme court or even the filibuster ?
Here again, Biden has been clever enough not to answer either of those questions.
If he is elected President (and he will be), those are two questions that the Democrats will have to decide on, and it will not be entirely easy to work out a policy that they can unite on. So he would be foolish to invite such controversy even before he is elected.
(Biden doesn't foolishly shoot from the hip and unnecessarily box himself in the way Trump does.)
So, you're welcome. :-)
And if these answers don't satisfy you, I don't care.

Pence Suddenly Cancels Campaign Events

Trump Collapsing In Internal GOP Polls
7:52 am EDT
New York Times:
“New polls show Mr. Trump’s support is collapsing nationally, as he alienates women, seniors and suburbanites. He is trailing not just in must-win battlegrounds but according to private G.O.P. surveys, he is repelling independents to the point where Mr. Biden has drawn closer in solidly red states, including Montana, Kansas and Missouri, people briefed on the data said.
The Wish for Normalcy
7:55 am
Peggy Noonan:
“It’s not only the past week’s events, not just the polls and their consistency, their upward tick from a lead of 6 or 7 to a lead in some polls of double digits; it’s the data about women and voters over 65.
“No one will talk about it in public because they’re not idiots.
Journalists don’t want to be embarrassed if they’ve got it wrong;
Democrats don’t want to encourage complacency;
Republicans don’t want to demoralize the troops;
and the networks have to keep everyone hopped up on the horse race…
“But if what a growing number of people are seeing as a real possibility happens, if we are in blowout territory, I think part of the reason won’t be political in any classic sense, or ideological, or having to do with some stupid question about which candidate you want to have a beer with. If Joe Biden wins big, part of the reason, maybe a big part, will be simply that he is normal.”
AS OPPOSED TO THE CREEP NOW IN THE OVAL OFFICE.
Ole Sleepy Joe?
No, just ole normal, dependable, likeable, decent, worthy of trust Joe.
