The monthly Democracy Institute Sunday Express poll for the Presidential election shows that Mr Trump is still on course for victory with 46 percent of the popular support compared to his Democrat rival Joe Biden’s 45 percent.
However, his overall lead has dropped by two points since the last poll in September.

Doctors Saturday afternoon offered a rosey assessment of Trump’s health less than 24 hours after he was checked into Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
But statements the Associated Press and other outlets later attributed to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and other sources gave a more alarming account of the president’s health.

Trump ‘Not Yet Out of the Woods’
White House physician Sean Conley said in a statement Saturday night that President Trump is “not yet out of the woods,” but the medical team “remains cautiously optimistic.”
No Plans for Pence to Take Over Trump’s Duties
“President Trump remains on the job despite his hospitalization for covid-19 and there are no plans for Vice President Pence to assume even temporary authority as president, the first full day of Trump’s inpatient treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,” the Washington Post reports.
“Under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, Pence would assume the full authority of the presidency if Trump were to die or become unable to perform his duties. But although the amendment, ratified in 1967, was intended to clear up ambiguities in the original 18th-century document, it is not clear what exactly constitutes being incapacitated, and language about who makes that call has never been tested.”

A big hearted thing to say, though I cannot help wondering what the President's response would have been if Joe Biden had contracted the virus: Would Trump have continued to mock him for wearing a mask?
But indeed, in the President Trump's statement, released from Walter Reed and accessible above at 6:04 pm Oct 3, he sounded more human, more humble, more reasonable than I have ever before heard him.
It is obvious that he has had his bell rung.
However, he still seems to labor under the misapprehension that our being "the most powerful nation" on earth makes us "the greatest nation on earth."
No. If the Nazis and the imperialistic Japanese had won WWII, they would have become (at least temporarily) the two most powerful nations on earth, but not the greatest.
What makes us truly great is our commitment to genuine decency and to caring even for the last and the least of our sisters and brothers, no matter what their race, their ethnicity, their gender, their sexual orientation, or their status in life.
Our Declaration of Independence states that "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," yet those words were written and affirmed at a time when millions of those living in our land were slaves and when women were in no way full citizens, nor were men who possessed no property.
What makes us truly great is not our enormous power, but the fact that we are still struggling to right the wrongs of those and other "original sins" of our land. What makes us truly great is our unceasing desire to have "new births of freedom" that will assure the survival of the proposition that ours is to be government that really is "of the people, by the people, and FOR the people.
